"Mother, what are you doing here in the academy?" Ciel asked.
Although he was happy to see his mother in the academy, he felt that Andrea was here to monitor his every move. This would be detrimental to the plans he had laid out to deal with the organization who planned to use him as a test subject.
"What's wrong, Ciel?" Andrea asked back. "Just because you've grown a year older, you don't need your mother anymore?"
"It's not like that, Mother," Ciel hurriedly added. "I was just surprised that's all."
Ciel knew that his mother was over protective of him since he was her only child. Andrea was a very good mother. If not for his father's interference, he was afraid that she would have already spoiled him rotten.
