39 It's A Dinner Date...

"So are we going directly to home or somewhere else" Xian asks while driving the car swiftly.

"We need to halt at nearby super market to load up the groceries my dear, as the fridge is completely empty and for the feast need something in there". Anna replies with a small giggle.

"As you say my darling, guide me with the directions and will take you there". Xian replies with a small smile on his face.

"Take a left from here and then immediate right. The second store will be our destination". Anna guides him with the instruction.

Xian pulls over the brake and stops the car after reaching the parking lot of the super market. He parks the car correctly and grins at Anna.

"Ok, I know you are a great driver. No need to show off. C'mon, we need to pick up things". Anna gets down from her side with a smile which she is trying to hide from Xian.

"Why do I feel as if someone was trying lot harder to show sarcasm but failed?" Xian hugs Anna from side and pulls her closer while walking inside the super market.

"Yeah Yeah whatever". Anna rolls her eyes while replying. She grabs the trolley and starts scanning the items to pick up.

"Pancakes are must" Anna and Xian speaks in chorus and starts laughing after noticing each other carrying the same brand and flavor pancakes in hand. Anna grabs Xian's box and place them in the trolley. They take a quick move to the other area and starts filling the trolley taking their own sweet time.

After feeling satisfied with the shopping Anna drags the trolley to the billing counter and starts placing the things out on the counter for the lady to start billing. Anna suddenly feel she is missing on one item when finds Xian placing the milk cartons and egg tray on slab. She smiles widely.

"Your husband is so caring and full of responsible, these days kids knows it all". The old lady who was billing for them comments and smile at them.

"No Aunt we are not married yet but yeah he is my boyfriend. Thanks for the compliment". Anna replies while trying to hide her red cheeks by slightly slapping at them.

Xian places his card on the counter as soon he sees the billing to get over and without giving a chance for Anna to do it. He holds Anna from back preventing her to take out her wallet. "C'mon it's not good that you are spending on my expenses". Anna lifts her head to meet Xian's face while speaking out.

"And you think it's good at my part to let my girlfriend pay for all my expenses. I am CEO baby, let me at least take care of these." Xian replies smiling while collecting his card back. He leaves Anna from his hold and picks up the bags while moving out of the store. Anna follows him silently and smiles widely with the view. She had never experienced the feeling of someone spends for her or holding her shopping bags, she used to see other couple and feel envy about it in the past.

Xian opens the car and places all the bags inside, he walks towards the passenger door and opens the same for Anna. Like a gentleman he places his hand on the top while Anna takes a seat inside to ensure she is not hurting herself. He quickly walks back and takes his driver seat and starts the engine. The journey comes to a halt in ten minutes and Xian makes sure of carrying the bags inside without troubling Anna.

Anna on the other hand rushes towards the door to get it open and holds it until Xian walks in and closes the same without latching it. She helps Xian in arranging the stuff in fridge and in kitchen drawers.

"So my personal chef what's in today's menu?" Xian asks Anna in excitement after arranging all the groceries.

"Spaghetti with fried eggs, French fries with some wine and freshly got cupcakes for desert. Sounds good or anything to be added?" Anna looks up at Xian and giggles after replying.

"That's lot sweetheart, do you need any help?" Xian replies.

"Nope, let me get a quick shower and will start after that. You too freshen up" Anna replies and walks out of the kitchen after placing all the ingredients on kitchen slab. Xian follows her to the room and opens up his iPad to complete few emails. Anna takes a quick shower and moves back to the kitchen to prepare the dinner.

She puts on her apron and starts cutting the vegetables first for Spaghetti. After cutting, she starts preparing the creamy sauce and then boiling the Spaghetti. "Xian, go for the shower. It won't take longer for me". Anna screams from kitchen and after hearing Xian's response plugs in headphones with her favorite music and starts preparing the food again. When it comes to kitchen Anna is on full speed, her hand moves to quickly, and she is good at managing multiple task. She makes sure Spaghetti and Eggs are boiled and kept at one side while deep frying potato wedges. After placing wedges aside, she fries the eggs and places them on a plate. Shifts the Spaghetti in two plates and decorates them perfectly. She carries both the plates and arranges them on the dining table with wine glasses. She then gets potato wedges, eggs and cupcakes and arranges them on the table. Takes out the wine bottle from the seller and place it in the mini bucket at the middle of the table.

After feeling satisfied with her arrangements she places the candle stands on the table and turns the light dim. After arranging everything for the dinner she takes out her headphones and walks towards her room and gets ready in a simple peach color t-shirt and shorts, leaves her hair loose making them fall on her shoulder and puts on very light makeup. She comes back without making much noise.

Xian gets out of the shower and thinks of surprising Anna. He walks out of the shower with nothing but towel wrapped around his waist and hiding his manhood. Xian opens the room door to walk out but power goes off at the same time. He stands at the same position to get his eyes comfortable with darkness. Anna on the other hand feels surprised due to the sudden power cut and walks out of the kitchen carefully towards the hall to pick her phone when an arm on her waist feels.

"Hey, you are there. Let me check on the lights?" Anna speaks softly after finding Xian next to her.

He turns Anna towards him and takes her face in her hand. "If I knew you are missing me so much, must have flown earlier".

Anna gets scares after listening to the words. She pushes the man away and lucky the lights comes back at the same time making Anna scream in shock and alarming Xian to run down the stairs.

"You? What are you doing here?" Xian and the other person screams on each other at the same time.
