Levi is a hitman, an assassin really. And a rich one for that matter. He is cold, calculating, blunt and detached from society. Simone on the other hand is a 22 year old orphaned collage dropout who has four siblings to fend for. They meet in an unlikely manner at the city market after Levi completes one of his jobs and in an unlikely turn of events, he ends up needing her help, he doesn't want it though, he just happens to be inconvenienced. They find themselves in an interesting situation, however, living as some sort of dysfunctional family. It's not an ideal scene for any of them, but something intangible prompts Levi to stay.

How could a person just seem to get hotter and hotter by the day? How the hell was I supposed to keep my hormones in check with Levi breathing on me and kissing my neck like that?

I'd had other boyfriends but none of them did what Levi did to me. His mere presence had heat rushing down low in my abdomen.

I was three days into my recovery process and Levi had come over every day. My nightmares weren't as frequent, I was too numb to even have dreams but slowly getting there.

I got up after my sisters had left for school and took my medicine. I had a gash on my head but I was fine. I took a shower and couldn't bother to even change into normal clothes. Levi had seen me in my pyjamas a million times, he was probably used to my boring look.

I re-wrapped my bandages and tied my hair up then headed down to make myself some breakfast. I was in the kitchen making sandwiches when I heard the front door open.
