You're Courting Death!

Co-Posted on Scribblehub under the same name. Crappy Synopsis Below..... It was a bright sunny day when it happened..... When Yun Xie arrived in that other world. A world of flying cultivators and ancient ruins. A world, unlike any other... The one where the Dark Crow flew across the Nine Realms, and that one filled with more young masters than you could count. Where cliche tropes were a new reality, and no one had a inch of common sense or logic. Good thing he brought with him some overpowered (Albeit a bit cringy) cheats. It would be good fun. Some parts are sort of copy and paste, I really can't do much about it because I want the MC to be part of the main storyline, as that is fun..... If you wanna get to the actual story, go to volume 2. Update: When I feel like it.... Disclaimer: For the most part, many of the characters and such don't belong to me, besides OC''s and such. I can't write these types of stories...... A haven for Plot Holes......

Chapter 33

As the soldiers hesitated, stepping back a little, wanting to retreat, one of them charged out, swinging his large spear in a wicked arc. "Soul Asper Spear: Black Dream!" The soldier, a tall dude with thick grayish-black hair demonstrated his proficiency with the spear, the tip and side flashing with a dark sickly green aura, piercing forwards, three strikes all aimed towards Yun Xie's vitals.

As the three came, Yun Xie also moved, jutting his sword in a circular motion, defending himself from the brutal attacks while simultaneously cutting the throats of three others who had tried to get the jump on him, blood flying through the air, before being burned to a crisp before the gory liquid could reach the ground. "Fourth Form: Blooming Flame Undulation," He said, evading a few powerful arrows that struck the ground next to him.

The archer, a thin lanky dude with a big nose, retreated back into the messy broken formation of the soldiers, not wanting to get into close contact.

The tall spear-wielding soldier, Xiao Li Shang, broke a sweat. He had dodged just in time, avoiding the counterattack/defense. The man before him…. Was a monster. Wielding flame and blade with ease and a calm lazy temperament, it was clear that victory, by himself, would not be possible.

He did not know this fiery man's cultivation base though. It was as if the one before him was a mortal….

Yun Xie met a group of swordsmen, who were in an arrow formation, trying to get him with strength in numbers, while covering each other. A man with a heavy sword on the tip, and a group of people wielding longswords behind. Though it seemed well thought out and professional, underneath the soldiers' stoic expressions and metal wrought helmets, he could see the fear.

Adopting a more casual stance, Yun Xie punched out at the arrow formation, the soldier's eyes widening as a giant fist of fire headed their way. "Hiken: Fire Fist!" Yun Xie spoke, as those poor souls were thrown back a full few miles, armor and flesh melting along the way.

From the original about two thousand, there were only around five hundred left, the rest all felled by his "hotness" and swordsmanship.

A few charged at him, knowing that they would die if they retreated most likely. Their commander was not a gentle or good man. He was ruthless and vicious.

"Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun…" Yun Xie spoke softly, waving his sword, slashing upwards, dismembering a few more soldiers. He clashed, sometimes using a few sword styles but mostly using his feet and sword, hacking away at people's heads, smashing their heads in with his feet, and just brutally executing the lot. They had decided to come, so why couldn't he deliver?

"Katon: Great Fireball Jutsu!" Yun Xie blew out a giant billowing and scorching globe of fire, searing through a good part of the soldiers. He whipped around, jerking his neck to the side as an arrow sped past, instead embedding itself in the head of another soldier. That one archer was a bit irritating, but also quite the expert fighter, attacking weak spots when they were open and staying alive. But the guy had no care whatsoever for his fellow soldiers. Of course, he wouldn't just shoot them down randomly, but the guy didn't care if there was collateral damage.

Yun Xie dodged an incoming fist technique, breaking the guy's arm and kicking him into a few of his other comrades.

"First Form: Unknowing Fire." Yun Xie charged, once again decapitating a few charging soldiers. The spear guy from before seemed to have left and was regrouping up with some of the remaining soldiers.

"Crystal Melody Palm!" A soldier thrust out his palm, which glistened like crystal as it shot towards Yun Xie pretty fast. There also seemed to be a weird sound to the blow, probably hence the name that the soldier had loudly screamed in terror.

Yun Xie also said the names of the attacks at times, but honestly, the soldiers couldn't really tell. All it was to them was death, fear and destruction…. Meeting it head-on, with his open left hand, Yun Xie grabbed the Palm thruster and pulled him forwards, kneeing the guy in the jaw hard, which due to momentum, sent the guy cartwheeling.

"Undaunted Shield!" Another guy, trembling extremely badly, with his eyes as wide as saucers stared up at Yun Xie, who was running towards him. One would say there was no pity on the battlefield, with all the "I spared your life thing but later you killed my nine generations for revenge even though I spared you" thing. Yun Xie had no weak links. No weaknesses, as the power of God and Anime was on his side.

"Undaunted Shield" was a defense technique that allowed one's body to temporarily become as hard as a wrought iron shield, but the poor man was in such a panic that it was probably akin to a….. Piece of driftwood. But driftwood is still something right? Yun Xie took pity on him, gutting the guy in the stomach before judo throwing him into the hard ground, before cutting off the head of the dude next to him.

"Sun Breathing." Yun Xie suddenly said, with the people around him feeling ominous all of a sudden.

"Hinokami Kagura: Clear Blue Sky!" Yun Xie spun around in a 360 motion, slashing out vertically. Around him, the soldiers stared blankly as a beautiful all-encompassing flame flickered before them.

The last thing they saw, was quite the beautiful sight. Through all the flames and hatred, a cloudless clear sky, a brilliant sapphire blue, as their heads fell to the ground, burning up.
