Chapter 25

A few Hours Later….

Li Qi Ye watched awkwardly as a full-on party raged through the night, countless Elders and Disciples toasting lemonade and eating.

After handling a few other things, he had left the Martial Hall, before noticing a commotion to his right. When he went over, it turned out to be Yun Xie….. Again. Seriously? What the hell was it with this guy! Uncaring through a thousand generations….

He watched as two elders competed, trying to chug down the most strawberry lemonade in one minute….

Gosh, what has the cultivation world come to….?

Shaking his head, Li Qi Ye walked through the crowd, before reaching the grill. Then, a few disciples noticed him and froze. Why was that….. Devil here?!

Immediately, a few of the disciples quickly ran away, while others bowed down on the ground screaming his praise like he was some sort of deity….

Yun Xie looked up, nodding to Li Qi Ye. Besides him, Li Shuangyan and Nan Huai Ren stood, staring at Qi Ye in silence.

"Ayy….! Li Qi Ye, come join us, we got meat and lemonade!" Yun Xie spoke, obviously trying to make the conversation less lame…

He handed Li Qi Ye a platter of meat, who gladly accepted. Li Qi Ye's eyes widened. Another most likely unsolvable mystery…. Yun Xie was truly an enigma….

This meat…. Was unlike anything he had eve-

"Hey. Want some lemonade?" Not hearing his answer, Yun Xie threw him a cup, before walking off.

(A/N: if I put too much of, "Oh yes, Yun Xie is such a mystery" and other crap, it'll get old so…..)

Yun Xie smiled, receiving information his clone had transmitted to him.

Honestly, he tried to make it seem like it was all part of his plan but running across a mine full of laborers was not really expected.

Yun Xie wasn't going to go into any of that kingdom-building bs at the moment. Right now, he wanted to create the strongest bandit brigade or something like that. One that would be able to curb stomp the living hell out of the Jewel Kingdom.

At the Jade Quarry….

Aoi kicked one of the Quarry managers to the side, looking at the twenty laborers who had stayed behind.

As he was not as much of a pervert as the actual Aoi Todo, even though some of them had were "boring", he only kept behind the few who he believed was trustworthy and stuff…

The people were sitting on the ground awkwardly. Aoi had healed them and gave them some mochi, so they were just sitting there, chewing. Around them, the mine had been completely devastated, countless craters in the ground, some of the entrance tunnels collapsed and smoke rose into the air.

The idiot managers, being complete idiots, forgot to report to the Heavenly Jewel Kingdom so the Kingdom was in the dark of the incident. Yun Xie sent away the laborers he thought wouldn't want to be a part of this or wasn't trustworthy. He had used a few quirks and other abilities to make sure the laborers here were actually nice people and not idiots…..

But honestly, it didn't really matter. None of them could kill him, let alone even touch him probably….

"So... Do any of you wanna come with me to create the greatest bandit group ever known?" Aoi asked cheerfully, cracking his neck. "Just asking." He clarified, realizing that it sounded quite threatening. Also, this was technically real life, even though a lot of cliche stuff happened, even though he saved their lives, Aoi doubted any of them would want to join him….

The atmosphere around the quarry was sort of tense, so awkward silence prevailed for a few minutes….

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the courageous but slightly timid stood up. Aoi looked at him. Su Meng was a young dude with long messy black hair and a mustache. He had, like most of the other laborers, long gashes running down his back and sides. But his eyes were clear and confident.

"Umm…. If I do join you, what about my family?" Su Meng asked nervously, shifting his feet a little.

Aoi widened his eyes. "Well. We're gonna be raiding the Jewel Kingdom and some other losers, not really any peasants or stuff, we are going for the big fish… So you'll have enough to support your families, and I'll keep them safe." Someone actually wanted to come? Sorta great? In this life or his previous life, he wasn't much of a leader figure so this could end up badly….

"Won't I die?" Another man stood up, also quite terrified. The man in front of them, Ai Tudi, could kill him in the blink of an eye….

But the opportunity to beat up those Jewel Kingdom scum was present and he was also sort of a reckless, albeit cowardly idiot...

"As long as I, Aoi Todo, am here, nothing will stand in our way!" Aoi grinned, pounding his chest loudly. The laborers were shaken up a little as a shockwave seemed to reverberate off Aoi's body.

"So domineering….."

"Yes! I am definitely following this man!"

"Awesome…!"

The laborers, all being hot-blooded and easily fired up, all yelled, signaling they would join him.

Aoi was sort of confused and cringing a bit internally. "I actually said that…. I mean, all those Chinese MCs would say it, but it actually worked? Though….. It's still cringe….. I'm dying…."

He was also a little stunned. Usually, in novels, they would fear for their lives and stuff…. They were mortals after all. Was he that much of a public speaker? In his previous life, Yun Xie got a B+ in that class…..

Anyway, since they joined Aoi on his quest to become the bandit king, he might as well completely break the system and give them some completely scuffed items…

In anime, the "eat this to gain power" trope was pretty common, so he had many things to choose from. With the Creation Quirk, he could probably give them a lot of broken abilities.

Thinking for a while, he dumped a bunch of stuff on the ground. Stand Arrows, Devil Fruits, Pieces of….. Hair? Aoi's mouth widened even more. He was going to create the greatest bandit brigade the Mortal Emperor World would ever see…..
