09 THE NOTICE REGARDING THE NEW CAPTAIN AND NEW RULES

Next day, at the notice board of "The Outcasts" guild.

Everyone present there, are looking at the notice board with a frown on their faces. They are all looking at the freshly pinned notice. The more they read it, the more angry they got. We can also hear some of them shouting.

Seeing the commotion, Elena and others came to notice board, to check what is happening. Looking at them coming, those at the notice board started to loudly call them and asked them to come quickly to take a look at the notice board.

Looking at them, Elena and others increase their pace and came to the board and started reading the notice on it.

The notice has a title "NOTICE REGARDING THE NEW CAPTAIN AND NEW RULES" at the top of the page and has few points under that title reads as follows,

"1. First of all, we all are very sad to inform you the death of the previous captain "Alfred" and we all should wish for him to rest well in the after life.

2. As there is no captain for our guild, we decided to make "REN" the new captain for our guild as he was elected by the majority vote from the vice captains.

3. We are going under the leadership of "STARLIGHT" guild, so that we can reach more heights.

4. We are going to increase the cut that the guild takes from the member's reward for completing the quests from the Royal Quest Board by 15% for all ranks of the guild.

New cuts are as follows:

1. Vice Captain -25%

2. Officer - 30%

3. Soldier - 40% and

4. Member - 45%

( These are the standard ranks or positions below captain in a guild that is followed almost allover the world)

5. The time accessed to the training hall is reduced to half to all guildmates who are at and below the officer rank.

6. .....(and some other shit we dont need)"

After looking at all the new rules, Elena and others thought that only tough times are ahead of them. And after they tried to pacify the crowd and they promised to talk with Ren and other vice captains.

After the scene at the notice board, Elena, David, Jack and Nat went to Captain's room to discuss about the new changes they brought as soon as Ren became the captain of the guild.

Inside the captain's room of "The Outcasts" guild

Darren was talking with Ren and suddenly Elena and the others came into the room and Elena asks, " What is the meaning of this Ren?" with a some what hostile tone.

The one who replied to her was none other than Darren, saying, " Mind your language vice captain Elena, that's 'Captain Ren', he is not your fellow vice captain anymore, but the captain of the guild".

Clenching his fists, David was about to burst out, but on Elena's signal, Jack and Nat holds back David, after that Elena says, " What are you thinking about when forming the new rules, Captain Ren? What were you even thinking when raising the guild's share, cutting the training time, making the guild a subsidiary to Startlight guild and many other useless things that gonna harm the guild. What do you wanna say about them?"

Looking at the deep blue eyes of Elena, with his black eyes for a second and then looking at David who is trembling with rage and at Jack and Nat who are controlling him, Ren starts talking, " Vice captain Elena, whatever the new changes I brought are decisions taken after discussing it with vice captains. And everything is done for the benefit of the guild like increasing the share of guild's cut as it will help guild collect more resources.

And about reducing time to access the training hall is because most of the people below officer are old people who reached their limit, so there is no need for them train, instead if we captain and vice captains, who are young and still have to reach our potential can use the training room for more time, as that can increase the power of the guild. And talking about going under starlight guild, there are more advantages than disadvantages so don't get me started on that topic.

Like I said, all I did was done with consideration of guild's growth at the front. So don't talk about them". Ren said with authority of a captain.

After listening to him, even Elena lost her temper, thinking that the people here are trying to destroy the guild that was built by their father, she says," You idiot, you are doing more harm than helping the guild. How can you be so stupid to think that all the changes you done today are more helpful than harmful to the guild? Are you that blind?"

Listening to Elena, Ren raises his brow and says in a rather harsh tone," vice captain Elena, you are crossing your limits, you neither have no position or experience to tell me what to do. I am the CAPTAIN of this guild and when you guys are busy playing in the academy and Alfred is licking the king's butt, I along with remaining vice captains worked hard to develop this guild, so you don't need to rub your silly ideas that you got from that stupid Alfred on me".

Listening to Ren's shit talk, the faces of all the four people darkened. And Elena who got enraged after Ren talking bad about her father, she lost control and runs forward and attacks Ren with her sword.

Listening the words of Ren, Jack and Nat pauses for a second and taking this advantage, David frees himself from their grasp and also lunges forward to attack by concentrating his mana at his fist shouting," Die... you bastard".

Looking at the two people attacking him, Ren is not tensed, instead he looked quiet relaxed for someone who was about to get attacked. When the distance between Ren and others was as same as arm's length, a smirk is formed on Ren's face and with a flick of his hand, a shield is formed infront of Ren covering half of the room which consists of Ren and Darren.

Darren who is silently standing by the side, takes out a recording crystal and records Elena and David attacking Ren. He continued to record for full 4 minutes, at which Elena and David relentlessly attacked Ren or atleast the shield infront of Ren before getting stopped by Jack and Nat. He also stopped recording just before Jack and Nat moves to stop them, and keeps it back in his dimensional ring.

After Jack and Nat stops Elena and David, Jack says, " Guys, dont let him get into your head, he is trying to trick us". Listening to him Elena also collects herself and stops David from attacking Ren. Looking at Ren, Elena says to him," This isnt the end Captain Ren, we will soon meet again". After saying this, they all leave the room.

"Yes, this isn't the end my dear Elena, you will eventually come to me along with that Nat." mutters Ren looking at the figures leaving his room. There is clear lust overflowing on his face.
