As we ventured deeper into the tunnels, we encountered new environmental hazards. The air grew increasingly stagnant, filled with a noxious mix of dampness, dust, and the lingering stench of decay. Limited ventilation systems made breathing difficult, and we had to rely on our masks and filters to protect ourselves from the suffocating atmosphere.
The temperature fluctuated erratically, plunging into bone-chilling coldness in some sections while becoming stiflingly hot in others. The extremes added to our discomfort, sapping our energy and focus. We pressed on, our will unwavering, pushing through the oppressive environment in pursuit of our elusive foes.
The tunnels themselves presented inherent dangers. Structural integrity became a constant concern as sections of the ceiling threatened to collapse under the weight of whatever was above ground. The team moved swiftly, avoiding unstable areas and finding alternate routes to ensure our safety.
