The Encounter

"AUBREY! ARE YOU NOT GOING TO WAKE UP?!" Castiel's voice is heard across the house and for the fifth time, Aubrey wakes up knowing her life is in danger at the hands of her father.

"I'm coming!" Aubrey yelled and went straight to her bathroom. After taking a bath, she walks straight to their mini dining table which is good only for two-person. Her father serves her breakfast while glaring at her.

"You stayed late at night, don't you?" Her father asked.

"No dad," She said as she maintained her sight on her food as she doesn't want to meet her father's gaze.

"Oh yeah? There's a piece of evidence on your eyes brat!"

"I'm not a brat, dad, and I did not stay too late..."

"Just keep denying that, I'm your dad," Castiel said as he sighs on how his daughter getting stubborn day by day.

After taking her breakfast, she hurriedly gathers her stuff as she kissed her father goodbye. Aubrey walked into an intersection where she met her friend, Mae who's waving at her exaggeratedly as she shouted her name.

"Yo, Aubrey my friend!" Mae said and raised her hand to initiate a high five yet Aubrey didn't bother to raised her hand and ignored her friend as she's not in the mood. "F*** you!"

"Good morning too," Aubrey said, yawning as she wiped a tear that escaped on her eye.

"Want to hang out later after class?" Mae asked enthusiastically.

"Nope," Aubrey said not giving a second thought.

"Just this one, Aubrey! I will introduce you to a lot of boys" Mae said trying to persuade her friend but to no avail, Aubrey said "no" making Mae pout her lips from disappointment. "Such a bummer!"

"I'm sorry but I'm not in the mood," Aubrey said making Mae roll her eyes.

"I wonder why I befriend you"

"I wonder too, don't worry"

"Don't answer my statement" Mae said sulking.

"Then stop talking," Aubrey said making Mae pinch her waist making her jolt from the sudden pain. Mae runs after doing that but Aubrey doesn't want Mae off without having her revenge so she chases after her.

"Aubrey Francis Hart"

Aubrey halted from her movements and search for the voice that she heard and when she saw a man standing not far from her, she pointed herself to make sure but the man just stared at her so she awkwardly asks him.

"A-Are you referring to me?"

"You have grown so well... your highness," The man said bowing to her politely making her look around to spot some hidden camera but there was none.

"Um, Is this some kind of prank?"

"Hey what the f***, Aubrey? We're getting la----" Mae stopped mid-sentence when she saw a guy practically in armor, and as an anime fan herself, she excitedly took her phone, handing it to Aubrey as she walks to the man and poses for a picture. "Is there a near anime convention here?! What anime are you cosplaying?" she asked excitedly forgetting that she's getting late from class.

"Sorry mister but who are you?" Aubrey said as she felt some kind of familiarity but she can't pinpoint what is it.

"So, Castiel didn't mention about Liberum"

Aubrey looked at him, confusion showing in her eyes. Mentioning how he dressed, he kinda looks like a cosplayer but he doesn't have the vibe of a cosplayer.

"Hey, Mr. Cosplayer, do you also know kpop? BTS? TXT? what about Dreamcatcher?" Mae said and when the man ignored her she dramatically sighs, slumping her shoulder.

"Stop spitting nonsense words, you need to come with me" the man said making Aubrey widened her eyes as the guy grabs her wrist, walking out leaving Mae there standing.

"H-Hey, where are you taking me!" Aubrey said as she violently shakes her arm that was being grabbed and the man let go of her arms.

"Take me to Castiel then," The man said making her curious about how he knows her father.

"Is something wrong, Aubrey?" Mae asked.

"N-No, just get back to class first, I need to take him to dad" Aubrey said.

"Are you sure?" Mae asked and Aubrey nodded. "Ok, text me if something happens."

Aubrey didn't know why but he obeyed the man she didn't know. She leads the way where their house is located.

"He needs to tell everything. You won't believe me if I'm the one who explains it"

"Why does he need to explain everything? What do you mean? What are you talking about?"

The man covered her mouth making Aubrey nervous. The man look at his surroundings, getting cautious over something and Aubrey sensed it. "What? Are you trying to kidnap me?"

"Where's Castiel?" He whispers.

"T-There... What's happening?" Aubrey asked and pointed to a certain house and right away, the man dashes over to that direction, Aubrey's getting anxious and confused about what's happening so she runs after the man but he stopped her at their gate, looking at her.

"Don't come in" the man said.

"I shouldn't trust you, I don't even know your name" Aubrey said.

"My name is Theodore Agapov Hendrix, your highness," the man said.

"Are you telling the truth? How can I be sure that you're not lying."

"I won't lie to you and you should trust me right now, your life is in danger"

"W-Why? Is there something wrong?" Aubrey asked and the nervousness hit her again and when her father hit her mind, she rushed through the door and open it aggressively.

Broken furniture greeted her as the house looks so wrecked and busted. She immediately searched for her dad worriedly, shouting for him but Theodore stopped her.

"Don't shout, they will know we're here" Theodore said but it's too late. He felt a sudden vibration from above so he pushed Morpheus and shielded her with his body as he raised his sword. He looks in the direction where the dagger came from and saw Ghiacciata holding Castiel through his neck and when Ghiacciata knows the two were looking at them, she tightened her grip on Castiel's neck making Castiel grunt with pain trying to breathe.

"DAD!" Aubrey cried.

Ghiacciata likes the attention that she receiving so she tightened her grip on Castiel a little more and when she saw he's turning blue, she throws him violently at the wall that leaves a crack on the wall. Castiel coughs blood as his visions getting blurred.

'Is this my end? Morpheus...'

Aubrey rushed to her father's side while Theodore dashed to Ghiacciata's direction, fighting her with his sword to protect Aubrey, the last hope of Liberum.
