There I was crying into johns arms,crying about something I never thought I was going to cry about,yes they were so cruel to me but at the end of everything they were my parents the people who raised me and now they're gone

"Shh, shh it's okay"John whispered into my ear while hugging me I let out a few more sobs into his shoulder

"Mon amour it's okay I know"John was still trying to sooth me When someone tapped my shoulder

I turn around to see the doctor

"Miss I'm sorry for the death of your parents but I need to tell you that since your the only family member we could get in contact with you have to plan the funeral again miss I'm sorry for you loss"he pats my shoulder then leaves

"John we should go"I grab his hand and look at the floor

"Then let's go"we leave the hospital tears running down my face John just grabs my hand and whispers sweet nothings in my ear

He looks at the ground I see a few tears come out of his beautiful hazel eyes I hug him and we sit there and cry After a few minutes the carriage stops and tells us we've arrived we step out and head inside

I go straight up to the bathroom and draw a bath as soon as the water stopped I got in and sat there and cried

~an hour later~

I was still sitting there crying when I hear a knock on the bathroom door I stop crying so John couldn't hear me he walked in and sat down by the bath

"John"I say in a monotone voice

"Y/n just let me stay by your side"he asked grabbing my hand and caressing it and at that moment i break down again

"I feel so empty like everything I've ever known has been taken from me and I don't know how to express what it is but my hearts broken John and I have to plan a funeral for them I- I don't know....it's like my whole life they have caused me pain and know they're gone and they gave me a pain that's unexplainable" I leaned my head against johns

"John i love you and i don't know how many times I can say that but no matter how many fights we get into never forget that because I don't know how I would live with myself if one day you left after a argument thinking I don't love you and something happens"I look him in his eyes

"I love you to y/n"he kisses my fore head

"Can you bring me a towel there's something I have to do" he nodded and walked out after a minute he came back with my towel handed it to me and walked out I do everything I need to do and put on my F/c nightgown and head into the study I pull out a paper and quill and write to my brother Adam

Dear Adam,

Hi! I'm y/n your little sister I have some sad news to tell you mama and papa have passed I know you probably weren't close to them but I wanted you to know,the funeral is in a three days it's kind of short noticed but I can manage I hope to see you and baby Gabrielle there I would really like to meet you two, and if anything you can come stay with me and my boyfriend John Laurens we would be more than welcome to let you stay here for a few days so you guys will come to the funeral just...take my words into consideration

Dear Eliza,

Hey! How are you and Alex? Hopefully you guys are alright, when's the wedding? I have some news,my parents have passed I'm inviting you and your father to their funeral hopefully you can make it if you can't that's and sorry this letters so short

I wrap them in a envelope and sit them on the desk I look up and see John

"Hi" I say blandly

"Hey who were you writing letter to?"he asked

"My brother and Eliza"I respond simply while smiling

"Your brother!?you have a brother?"he gave me a shocked expression

"Yea and a sister my mom had my brother a year before she had me but they sent him off to live with my dad's parents and my little sister they had her two months ago"I said sadly at the thought of Gabrielle not meeting our parents

"Wow that's a lot to take in"he said as he sat down on the couch in front of the desk

"I know!"I giggled at the thought

"So how are you doing since you know"John asked avoiding my eyes My eyes start to tear up

"I'm a little more at peace with it still shocked by the whole thing but definitely more at peace"I smiled slightly holding in all my pain

"That's good but you should come to sleep it's been a really long day"he asked while holding his hand out for me to take I grabbed it and we went into the room We laid down I stared at the celling for a bit thinking John was asleep

"Y/n?"John said while sitting up

"Yes mon amour?" I looked at him and sat up placing my hand on his back

"Nothing forget it"he sighed laying back down

Weird,I layes back down next to him this time laying on his chest hearing his heart beat soon I feel asleep

~a few days later~

The funeral

Today was my parents funeral I wasn't as sad as I was the day of their passing I've accepted that,that is the reality I walked downstairs and saw John

"John are you ready?"I asked walking down the stairs

"Yes Mon amour"he called back then someone knocked on the door

"I'll get it"John said and went towards the door

I was putting on my shoes I finished and John was still at the door I went and saw a man holding a baby I walk towards the door

"Y/n?" The man said at the sight of me

"That's me! Who are you?" I question

"It's me,Adam and Gabrielle" he said with a sad smile

"Adam!?you-you got my letter?"I asked in disbelief I walked closer to the door

"Yea i did, I didn't know what to think at first I knew I had a little sister but I didn't know that she would ever find me"he said with his eyes glossing a bit mine were to

"Oh, you look like papa"i said putting my hand to his cheek and letting a tear slip out

That's when he started crying

"I'm sorry it's just I never knew them and now I'm coming to their funeral"he sobbed it made my heart break

"Adam, i think you should come in" I say stepping aside to let him in

"Are you okay?"John asked holding my hand I shake my head and cry into his jacket After a few seconds I wipe my tears and walk into the kitchen with John seeing my brother playing with Gabrielle,Me and John walk over to the table where he's sitting and sit down

"Adam"I say getting his attention

"Yes?"he says while placing Gabrielle back in his arms

"Our parents"I pause trying to find the right words "weren't the best"I say swallow the lump in my throat John placed his hand one mine as a sign saying it was going to be okay

"They abused me,for a long time"I tell him he looked at me with disbelief

"No!that can't be why!?"he yelled standing up making me jump and making Gabrielle cry

"Adam please! Just listen to me!please!!"i yelled also standing up trying to make my voice heard over the baby cry's

"No! Why should I listen to you?!"he yelled again That's when John yelled

"Adam sit down!!"John yelled while Gabrielle was still crying

"Sorry"he said sitting down trying to comfort Gabrielle

"You really do have papas temper"I mumbled he looked up from the baby and looked at me

"Do you wanna hold her?"he asked In a soft tone completely different from the one he just had,I nodded and he stood up and handed the crying baby to me I grabbed her and held her in my arms and she stopped crying, wow she looked like mama

"Your the cutest little thing ever,aren't you, aren't you"i cooed in a baby voice making her giggle

"I think we should continue this conversation after the funeral"i said my gaze still on Gabrielle I looked up and everyone was nodding

~30 minutes later~

We had arrived to the funeral

I step out of the carriage with baby Gabrielle in my arms and John and Adam shortly behind me Eliza, Angelica,and Peggy were here along with their father, Lafayette,Alexander and Hercules were there to John must have told them.It was a gloomy day the grass was soggy,I walked through the soggy grass towards Eliza she was crying I hugged her as she cried into my shoulder when we pulled away I handed her Gabrielle I turned to her father Philip and pulled him into a hug he patted my back he had let a few tears slip out we pulled away and me and Adam walked to mamas casket I saw her corpse and she looked so pale and lifeless I touched her cheek and it was cold I pulled my hand away I felt tears start to well up in my eyes I leaned down

"Mama?"I whispered in her ear

No response

"Mama?"I whispered again

No response that's when I knew she was truly gone I burst out sobbing

Adam was crying to he pulled me into a hug after a while we had walked back to the sit and the funeral began

~a few hours later~

The funeral had ended everyone except for Philip Schuyler and Angelica had came back to the house Adam was going to go back home once everyone left along with Gabrielle.

"Hey mon amour"John said softly as he sat down next to me

"Hi"I almost mumbled

"Do you wanna go somewhere?"he asked placing his arm around my shoulder

"Yea that would be nice"just then everybody appeared from behind the couch

"I wanna go to!"they said in unison

Me and John giggled

"Who's gonna watch Gabrielle if we all go hug?"I ask with a smug smirk across my face Peggy and Adam step up

"Me and Peggy will!"he said everyone turned to the two I raise a eyebrow and look at John he looks at me and gives me the same face

"Okay everyone except peggy and Adam please get your coats me and John will be there shortly"I said not moving my eyes from the couple Everyone walks out the living room I walk up to Peggy and pull her into a hug

"Don't do anything me and John would do"I whispered then pulled away Peggy looked at me with disgust but not in a bad way

John chuckled

"What'd she say?"he asked looking at Peggy

"She said don't do anything me and John would do!"Peggy whined then ran up stairs I turned my head to look at John he was blushing like crazy

"I should probably go after her"Adam said walking away

"Adam I'm serious I'm to young to be a aunt"I said sternly then giggle he scoffed and walked up stairs

"Shall we?"John Asked grabbing my hand

"We shall!"I squealed

~thirty minutes later~

We were still walking the group was goofing off and me and John were holding hands the whole walk we were making our way into town

"John where are we going?"I asked looking up at him

"We are going to no where!"he said enthusiastically I rolled my eyes playfully

"No really tell me!"I whined That's when Herc yelled

"WHO EVER GETS TO THE TAVERN LAST IS A ROTTEN EGG!!" He then bolted in front of me and John Me and John exchanged a look I pulled up my dress a little to not trip over it then ran to and soon everyone was running we were half way there and I started running faster I was three feet away from him when Lafayette passed me and touched herc hand I ran up to them

"Hey- not...fair"I said panting the rest of them ran up panting we were all laughing and I noticed John wasn't there

"Guys where's John?"I asked then Eliza gave me a smile and turned around when I turned around I saw John on one knee with a ring

I put my hands over my mouth

"Y/n,ever since you came up to us in this very tavern to give us our drinks I knew I was in love,just the way your hair is,your beautiful e/c eyes I fell in love with you and I know we only met a few months ago but I love you and I want you to be in my life,so y/n will you me the honor of letting me court you?"he said with a smile across his face

I was shocked I didn't know what to say I love him I really do and I want to marry him I want to say yes but the words wouldn't come out of my mouth he soon put a worried look over his face

"Yes!!"I squealed That worried look soon turned into a smile he stood up and placed the ring on my ring finger I smiled at the sight of my fiancé I looked up and pulled him into a passionate kiss When I pulled away I saw him smile

"I love you"I whispered

"I love you to"he whispered back looking back into my eyes we hear clapping I turn and see everyone clapping

"I hate to ruin the moment but we should get back"Eliza said with a giggle I nodded and we walked back to the house I walked in with John holding my hand Peggy runs downstairs with Adam behind her

Her hair was messed up her dress was ruffled her lipstick was smudged Adams hair was also a mess his lips had lipstick smudged on them

My eyes widen

"Peggy!"I yelled

"What!?"she said trying to act dumb

I walked up to her and whispered

"Ewww"I  yelled

I immediately ran up to the bathroom I threw up in the bathroom after I was done I sat down next to the toilet

John came up

"Are you okay?"he asked pushing open the door

"No! Peggy and Adam did it"I whined in disgust

He closed the door

"They did!" He asked shocked I nodded he sat next to me and I put my head on his shoulder

"It's okay we'll get them back one day"John said with a sly smirk across his face

"John!"I laughed and pushed his head away

"When's Elizas wedding?"I asked

"Two days"he responded

"And when are you leaving?"I asked sadness rushing over my body

"Shortly after"he replied while grabbing my hand

"What does shortly mean like a day or a few days?"I asked playing with my ring

"Like two days after"he gave my hand a squeeze I flash a fake smile

"Well I'm gonna have to spend all my time with you before you leave"i said then stood up and walked downstairs looking for Eliza

"Eliza?"I asked she then stood up with a smile

"Yea what happened"she asked walking closer

"Can we go out into the garden?"I ask avoiding her gaze while tears build up in my eyes

"Yea come on"she grabes my arm and pulled me into the garden the sun was setting The sky was painted orange,yellow,dark orange,and red

Me and Eliza sat on the bench looking towards the sun a gentle breeze hit us as I started talking

"How do you feel about Alex leaving?"I asked pouting and looking at the ground

"Well,I feel happy for him!but I want him to stay alive and to be careful"she said soothingly

"Why?"she asked looking at me

"It's just i knew John was going to Join the revolution i mean he clearly yelled it out at the tavern when we first met but I-" I burst out crying I bury my face into my hands after a moment I look up at the sky

"I don't want to lose him now that I've got him"I sighed letting a few tears slip out

"Y/n he'll be okay i have faith in it"she said rubbing her hand up and down my back i let out a cry that's when I herd a cough behind me I turn to see John

"Eliza can you leave us alone for a minute"he asked crossing his arms

"Yeah"she pats my back and leaves John walks up to the bench

"Y/n why didn't you tell me?"he asked putting his arm around my shoulder

"John if something happens to you I- I don't know your my life support okay and I know it sounds very weird  but it's true and I've told you multiple times already,but let's just enjoy the little Time we have"I say smiling at him

"Now lets go inside"I said standing up holding my hand out

He took it then stood up

We walked in the house and everyone was sitting down on the floor

"Hey guys what are we doing?"I asked holding johns hand

"Well me and Peggy were about to head back home it's getting dark so I'm sorry but we gotta go"Eliza said giving me a sad look she and Peggy and Alex stand up Peggy comes over to me and hugs me and eliza joins in

"Bye!"They said before walking away

"Alex!"she called before walking out

"I got to go but bye guys"Alexander said before walking away

Me and John sat down

~ten minutes later~

Everyone had left including Adam and Gaby (Gabrielle)

I was dancing around John was sitting on the couch still we were drinking so that never ends up well

"Johnnnnn!!my lovvveee"i yelled

"Yess!"he said in a girly voice

"Come hereee"I said pouting He stood up and walked over to me He wrapped and arm around my waist and looked me in my eyes And I'm that moment I kissed him the kiss was rough and we were drunk so one thing lead to another and
