An Avertable Incident

In a small apartment with only two rooms, the kitchen, and a small-sized room, laid two individuals. The room consisted of two beds opposite to one another, a wardrobe with science fiction books, novels, and comics packed on top, no curtains, a small carpet, no lightbulbs, and bowls and cups all over. The room was fairly poorly kept, there were numerous dirty bowls and cups, snack packs, and cobwebs in every corner. And in the center of it all, stood two jobless no life losers, Nathan, and Aiden Slade.

The two of these bastards were lower than low, they were twins, growing up the two never even knew who their parents were, in fact, they never even lifted the topic since their childhood, the government, after sending them numerous foster parents, quit because not a single one of them could tolerate their behavior. They were so poor that despite being nineteen, they didn't have enough money to keep themselves in college, sure the government would send money to them, but it was more for basic needs than anything like that. They would sometimes get part-time jobs but said once again, that no one could tolerate their behavior, not even the very person they work for.

Nathan had jet black dyed hair, gemstone blue eyes, and cherry pink lips. He had a long facial structure with a perfectly formed face, the nose everything was just perfectly aligned. He commonly wore sweatshirts because that was about all he could afford. And Aiden, being the twin brother of Nathan, looked just about the same except he had natural blonde hair that both of them were born with except Nathan had dyed his for the price of others being able to make him out from Aiden, his twin brother. The two were quite the good lookers, but sometimes personality can kill even the gems of gemstones, as any reasonable person would say.

In front of them stood a table, and on top of the table, a chess piece, the two of them were playing chess, Aiden scratched his head being unable to understand Nathan's next move, whereas Nathan was calm and collected like the ocean's waves, there was never a time Aiden won against him when he was serious.

" Ha, I won you, you wannabe smartass prick!" Aiden shouted in excitement.

" Look at this imbecile, I let him win because I was so bored of him overthinking a chess match." Nathan then sighed with a bulging temple vein.

" Don't lie you ugly piece of shit, admit it, you lost fair and square."

" You look the same, you asswipe, I'm surprised that Helena chick hasn't left your pathetic ass yet. "

" Shut the fuck up, you're just jealous that I have a chick, and quite a hot one too, whereas your scientific ass doesn't have shit, can science explain why no girl wants you?"

" Fuck you Aiden and thanks for the idea, I'm gonna read a nice science fiction while forgetting about your very existence."

" Whatever, I'm taking some spare change, even yours too, I'm surprised a nerd like you even has a few bills in your pocket."

" Don't you fucking touch it, Aiden!" Nathan then got up and threw a tantrum, he flipped the table over while staring at Nathan in quite a serious manner," You borrow money and you won't even pay it back, so what's the point of taking it in the first place?"

" Come on, I promise I'll pay you back, cut me some slack would you? I'm going on a date with Helena, hehe, I think she's seriously into me." Aiden begged.

' What a dick. He changed his attitude the moment he started begging.' Nathan then thought.

" Fine."

" Thanks so much, dude, have I ever told you how much I.."

" Don't push it, I'm tagging along until you reach there, got a place I wanna go."

" Bet it's some comic convention shit, you're such a nerd, imagine reading sci-fi comics."

" Says the one who has fantasy comic books all over their bed at the very moment we speak right now. I don't wanna be sent to an early death at the cause of cringe."

" Amen. Let's get going already." Aiden then suggested.

Nathan then got up and reached for the keys to the vehicle before opening the front door and leaving the house, accompanied by Aiden. It was a small neighborhood other than them, there were only three houses nearby, and they were all small houses due to it being a poor neighborhood, it wasn't that small to the point where there were only three houses, it was just the part that they lived in.

Over the small neighborhood stood a bright star radiating its presence over the globe like a beacon of hope soaring through the bright skies that were as clear as they were blue, the sensation of heat crawled up their bodies as it would appear to be a hot day, after all, it was about summertime all already. The graceful winds rushed by as the trees, crops, and grass swayed in response to this. For most, it would be considered the perfect weather, and to some, that meant a perfect day.

Nathan then pressed on the keys, to which a vehicle responded too with a beeping sound, it was a white pickup truck, from the outside, it didn't look bad other than being dirty from substances like mud on the tires, it seemed to be recently painted which it was, but to them, it was plenty, they had taken year's to save up and buy a vehicle like it, and they even sometimes starved themselves with one simple meal a day like bread for months to buy it. They had used their moment sent by the government monthly and all to buy it.

" You drive Aiden, I'll just drive after you leave, I'm not in the mood for driving right now."

" Fine but don't you go thinking I'm your bitch or something."

Nathan then entered the passenger's seat whereas Aiden entered the driver's seat. He then started up the vehicle and drove off. While Aiden was driving, Nathan was busy reading through a sci-fi novel he had started a while ago, he too had a lot of novel ideas that he would one day publish all into novels, it was one of his many dreams, some all quite simple, like eating expensive food, obtaining a bigger home, and as such.

" Render me inspired that you can even read that seriously while the vehicle is moving so much," Aiden commented.

" Thanks for the compliment but don't expect me to do the same, about whoever that girl is, I don't know what she sees in you."

" You're just jealous. She's got good looks and her parents are filthy rich. Her boyfriend cheated on her with some other chick, and she was so heartbroken until she met me, she's been far too nice to me. She's right, if her ex saw her now he would be so jealous of me." Aiden boasted.

" She said something like that? You said her parents are rich right?"

" Yeah, I told you that many more times than I can count, what about it?"

" Why would she date someone like us when we're clearly dirt poor from the way we dress, rich girls don't just show up and bend their backsides for filthy poor guys like us. And judging from what she said, it's clear that she's using you to anger her ex-boyfriend. I knew something was wrong when I heard you got a hot rich girlfriend." Nathan suspected.

" What the fuck! Look here Ferrick you son of bitch, that's crossing the line, you're accusing her of something when you don't even know her! Face it, you're fucking jealous!" Merrick shouted aggressively as he coldly looked at Aiden while driving.

" I was just being civilized with you, and this is how you repay me."

" I don't wanna hear that, fuck you!"

" Girls don't date no lives like us. We didn't have anything but one another for this long and I don't think it would change that fast, whoever those bastard parents were completely betrayed and left us for good, we live in a small apartment with barely any windows, we are poor, and we're practically broke but also jobless. Yet you're telling me you randomly came across some rich girl and start dating while knowing little to nothing about one another in just one fucking day!"

" You know what, go to hell, Nathan! Fuck you, you ruined my life. Who knows, if one of us were born and the other wasn't, maybe whoever our parents were wouldn't have felt as much responsibility. I worked my ass off for money, not just for the purpose of men but to be able to live an easier life with you! I regret it all. I wish you were never born! Fuck you!"

" Watch the damn road!"

" What now god dammit!"

The moment Aiden had faced the front, a speed truck had appeared like a bullet in front of his eyes, he instinctively locked the steering wheel to the opposite side, turning the vehicle off course into the woods which surrounded both left and right sides of the narrow straight roads. After being sent off course, there was a downhill which lead to the vehicle being directed at a fast speed due to the momentum. The vehicle had flipped over yet continued throwing itself threw the air, and as it was about to hit a large tall tree, it just stopped. It was impossible for it to suddenly stop after crashing at such a speed, and not only that, it was meant to hit the upcoming tree just a few moments ago, but it didn't. I

Nathan then crawled out of the window since the vehicle was in a position where it was filled on the side. He had received some concussions and scratches, but he was at least happy that he was alive.

" Hey, Aiden! Are you hurt?"

Aiden then crawled out of the vehicle," Obviously."

" Where are we?" Nathan said while looking around.

Looking around, they noticed that they seemed to be in a forest. The trees were abnormally tall, thick, and wide, they reached the skies like a skyscraper, and were fairly healthy, the leaves were as green as green could be, and the soil looked perfectly kept. The grass was taller than usual, it reached almost over their bodies despite them being well over six feet three. And it was exceptionally dark, even more so with the shade of the trees towering over them. There were no signs of weird life anywhere except the unknown scratches on the trees which they thought were done by grizzly bears, but it would seem to be done by something even larger than a grizzly bear. They had neglected it, but this meant that they were in danger from wildlife and that they were not entirely alone in the forest. From what they had seen after having a good few looks at the forest, everything seemed abnormal.

The pickup truck was completely utterly destroyed, it was by some miracle that they weren't hurt more than what injuries they had received, it could have been tragic, and if not for the seatbelts they could go flying through the windscreen, which would most definitely result in death or broken bones, and with the way the vehicle had flipped over who's not to say that it would crush them if they were to fly out?

" We've passed those woods on the road before and it never looked like this, we're in a full-fledged forest. Maybe we weren't mindful of our surroundings enough?"

" Could it be that I hit my head so much that I'm seeing wrong but why's there two moons and was it always night?"

As Nathan looked up, Aiden's suspicions were correct, in the south direction lay one moon, and north, another," Huh? That must go for the both of us because I see the exact same thing."
