58 Chapter 58

(POV:? Time: Right after the previous chapter. (◕‿-). Place: Protodragon tribe in Northrend).

The light that had covered my brother disappeared, and I could see how my younger brother looked good again.

"Little brother!" (Pink)

She tried to get closer, but her injured leg failed her and she fell face-first into the snow.

"Argh, it hurts!" (Pink)

She groaned in pain.

As soon as she stood up again, she saw how the little creature looked at her for a moment, and then again a green light was present.

-The pain is going away. I feel better (Pink)

Thought the little proto dragon.

When the light faded, she was no longer hurt. Although there was still blood on her body that painted her scaly skin, indicating her accident and its aftermath.

"Thank you for - " (Pink).

She couldn't finish her thank you, because she saw how the little creature had flipped her little brother face up and start jumping on top of his chest.

"What are you doing!" (Pink)

Asked again angrily the little pink one.

"Jumping on him, can't you see? That's weird, I thought I had healed you" (MC).

He said with some sarcasm at the end of his sentence to the little creature as she continued to jump on top of her younger brother's chest.

"By the way, you're welcome." (MC)

He commented as a proud smile adorned his little face.

"Leave him alone!" (Pink)

As soon as she said that, she stepped back a bit and grabbed momentum to punch the creature that was teasing her little younger brother.

"Jup" (MC)

With a great leap, he dodged the little pink menace and fell into the snow.

*Thump*

The big sister had fallen hard on top of her little brother, causing him to wake up suddenly and with a gasp.

"Wh-what happened?" (Vermillion)

The little proto dragon asked in alarm.

His sister stood up and positioned herself next to her younger brother, watching him closely for a moment. Soon they both heard a voice.

"Nkyu kyu kyu kyu. Well done, you have managed to revive your brother. Applause for you. Kyu kyu kyu kyu."(MC)

There was something about the little creature's laughter that infuriated the little proto dragon, but she stood by her little brother's side.

"*Grrr*" (Pink).

Though she might not have been able to help but grit her teeth tightly and growl at him a little.

"Ooh. So you bare your teeth at your savior. How ungrateful you are."(MC)

Hearing his response, only caused the little pink-scaled girl to be confused for a moment, and then her "cheeks?" to color a stronger shade of pink.

"I- " (Pink).

But before she could answer, her brother again asked as he stood up and shook the snow off of him.

"What happened big sister, what is that thing and where are we?" (Vermillion)

Her brother's question confused her a little.

"Don't you remember what happened?" (Pink)

"What do you mean 'thing'? How rude you are!" (MC)

Pitifully, he was Olympically ignored. And cocking his head slightly to one side, he scaled vermillion replied.

"Remember what -?" (Vermilion)

Then the little boy began to notice the blood on his sister.

"Sister!, are you all right!?" (Vermillion)

He asked in alarm.

"You're bleeding!" (Vermillion)

But before his older sister could answer him, he started growling at the little "thing" in front of them.

"*Grrr* Did you do this to my big sister?" (Vermillion)

And without waiting for a response from the "thing" in front of them, he lashed out at "it" with his mouth open. It had every intention of biting it and hurting it to avenge its big sister.

*Ugh*

But with a simple "slap" in the best style of a cat, it was enough. Thus causing him to fall to the side due to the force behind the blow.

He snorted, as he turned to walk away.

But before he could finish, again... A big shadow covered them both, so he turned to see what it was.

-Mom! (Pink)

thought the little girl.

As soon as she looked ahead again, the little creature had disappeared.

-It was gone... (Pink)

She thought.

That strange encounter had been engraved in the memory of the little proto dragon.

She would forever remember the strange creature that saved her brother and healed his wounds. In addition to his strange personality.

(POV:? .150 Years Later. Northrend)

In a large, dark, and deep cave was our "beloved" protagonist.

In the cave was a strange, not very deep well, filled with a bluish liquid. Inside the well, at the bottom, was a rather large egg. Its size was about 1 meter high.

The egg had a scaly texture, dark silver, and several large spikes protruded from it.

Soon the egg began to crack and from it, a small proto dragon, resembling a small dog emerged.

As soon as it hatched, it began to swim a little in the liquid of the well. After a few hours, all the liquid had disappeared and the little proto dragon was now a bit bigger.

*Sigh*

-It feels good and at the same time strange to have a normal flesh and blood body again... or well, as close to one as I can get. (MC)

"That felt satisfying. Now, let's try this baby... literally." (MC)

A small baby proto dragon was flying quickly. It seemed to have found something, so it only increased its speed further.

The little guy was approaching a group of mountains where the flight of several proto-dragons was noticeable.

"Stop!" (PD) (Author: PD is a proto dragon. I want to avoid having to repeat that word so much).

Said a large proto dragon that had flown up to the small one flying in from outside that I didn't recognize.

It-Probably a stray. (PS)

He thought.

"Don't come any closer!" (PS)

He spoke forcefully. Although his aggressiveness was noticeable in the body movements he instinctively made.

The little guy descended and began to tremble in fear of the large proto dragon in front of him who was hostile to his presence.

"Nkyuu kyu!...kyu- kyu- kyu!"

Said the small proto dragon.

Although nothing of what he was saying could be understood. It was very small and seemed to have been born just a few days ago.

The big proto dragon that was blocking the little one's way only listened to his small moans and simply glared at him as he slowly approached the little one who was trembling and could not find the strength to move. He was paralyzed with fear.

*Grrrr!

Without realizing it, the big proto dragon was growling as it approached the little one.

*Sniff

It began to sniff at the little guy and after a moment it backed away a bit.

-Should I push it away or kill it...?

As he was thinking about what to do with the little guy in front of him, he began to growl louder and louder without realizing it.

"Nk-nkyuu k-kyu!"

The little guy started to walk away as he shrieked and trembled in fear from the murderous stare of the adult right in front of him.

Before the adult proto dragon had made up its mind, one more proto dragon landed. It was a little smaller and slightly less bulky, but it was still big.

The other proto dragon, seeing its companion land next to it, changed its focus. Releasing the smaller one from the gaze and its intense murderous aura.

"What are you doing?" (PS 2)

Asked a more feminine voice.

"A derelict wanted to come in. I'm deciding whether to let it die out there alone and feed some predator or kill it myself and spare it the suffering."(PS)

Commented the large proto dragon with cold indifference.

Listening to her companion, the slightly smaller proto dragon approached the hatchling in front of her who was still trembling with obvious fear at the two figures.

"N-nkyuu k-kyu k-kyu k-kyu!"

Squealed the little one, causing the newly arrived proto dragon to pause momentarily watching him.

After getting a good look at his appearance, she moved closer to sniff him.

"He's not sick, why do you want to kill him? It's just an abandoned hatchling."(PS 2)

*Sigh*

A big sigh came from the larger proto dragon to then answer.

"We don't know if it can bring any diseases we don't know about. I'd rather not risk everyone just for this hatchling" (PS).

His voice sounded deep and strong. He seemed determined to eliminate the possible threat he believed the little guy posed.

*Hump*

Snorted his companion.

"I'll take care of this little one. If he's sick I'll take care of him myself" (PS 2).

Said the proto dragon calmly.

*Grrr*

Her companion's growl sounded, causing the proto dragon to look her companion straight in the eyes.

"Do you want to fight?" (PS 2)

She asked quietly. Though she began to prepare herself for a possible confrontation.

*Grrr - Hump*

Stopping abruptly after observing how determined his companion was, the large proto dragon turned his back to him and said.

"I hope you're not sick. Be careful Adexzyr, or I'll take care of you both myself" (PS).

After the small hatchling and the proto dragon watched as she flew off to observe the territory again, they both turned to meet each other's eyes.

"Nkyuuu!"

Squeaked the little one sadly.

Watching him attentively for a moment, the proto dragon spoke.

"Come little one, follow me." (PS 2)

The little one watched for a moment as the large proto dragon beckoned for him to follow her, so he quickly got up and began to fly following her, while squealing happily.

"Nkyuu kyu kyu kyu kyu!"

Seeing the excitement of the hatchling he had adopted as he followed her, a small smile appeared on his face.
