Chapter 21; Answer, training and rewards.

If I were to refuse, then I'd have to mass produce it or give them the schematics. I averted my gaze to the ground as I balled my hands into fists. I could do it, but then I'll have to fix and edit the rifle so that the bullets don't take chunks out of the victim, ah and I am already thinking like an assassin. Closing my eyes, I thought about a technique that assassin's in my world had used, it's called the PSS strike, short for paralysing snake strike. It goes for you nerves, with the right amount of speed and force you'll be able to send a slight shock to the targets mind, paralysing them in the process. But I'd actually have to have skills to use that move. So for now I'll upgrade the Nitro Rifle and use that. Opening my eyes I looked Fury dead in his, erm, one eye.

"With does conditions and one more, I'm allowed to travel to wherever I want with Shield paying for extra fees. ( Oof, MC got sly'er) when not on missions, deal?" I ask grinning. Fury scowled before rubbing the bridge of his nose.

" Deal. I will give the documents and contact's info to Yriel who will stay your bodyguard. Rest well,Dr.Hale." Fury says and stalked away, muttering something about stealing snakes.

"Just like that?! I thought you didn't want to kill people?!" Tony yells at me. I glared.

" I won't kill no body. Like Fury suggested, I'll only immobilese them once I've upgraded the rifle the bullets should be small enough to hit nerves and stop the targets from moving, happy?" I ask jumping to my feet and waited by the elevator door for Yriel to join me and Fury to get out on the floor that he chose.

"Ugh!!" Tony stomped his feet against the ground like a spoilt brat and walked to the corner of the room. Uriel pushed the button for the training hall, and folded his arms, not bothering to say anything. *Ding* we got in and I watched as Uriel leaned against the wall, ignoring me. Raising an eyebrow at this I tilted my head.

"Did I get on your bad side, little angel?" I ask, he glared at me.

"Why did you agree?" He asks.

" I don't want anyone to use that weapon. I'd rather shoot someone then have another use that weapon to kill. Which seems more reasonable? The one where thousands loose their lives, or the one where instead their imprisoned?" I ask as the elevator stopped and stepped out and in to the training hall.

"I ..... see. Not that way, we're not training in hand to hand combat today, we're training in weaponry fighting and control. First up is sniper, than hand guns and shotguns." Says Uriel.

" Eh?! Are you for real?! Widow, uhm, Natasha never let's me touch those!" I shouted in excitement, after all weapons are based out of science!

" I am not Miss Natasha Romanoff. I want you to be able to defend yourself with any and all weapons and to be able to understand their functions and uses. " Uriel says, a business like look plastered on his face.

" You mean you want me to be a skilled assassin. By the way, how can an angel kill? Or is it because you've fallen? Ah, was that to personal?" I ask, practically jumping from one foot to the other. He briefly glanced at me his eyes smiling.

"It's not personal, you're a friend and also the person I need to protect so it's obvious you'll need to know more about me." Uriel says as we walked to the shooting range. He picked up a sniper rifle and held it up for me.

" This is a Barrett M82, a semi-automatic anti-material rifle, designed and developed by Barrett Firearms Manufacturing company. Development of this powerful anti-material rifle began in the early 1980s. Working versions were ready by 1982, hence the designation M82.This rifle was designed to destroy sensitive enemy equipment, like parked aircraft, radar units, trucks and various other important assets at long range. It is used for remote destruction of explosive ordnance. Even though it was originally designed as an anti-material rifle, the Barrett M82 is also used as a long-range sniper rifle. It can neutralize enemy snipers at standoff range. This rifle can be also used to hit enemy soldiers, that are hiding behind cover and walls, as its powerful ammunition can penetrate through bricks and concrete. However the Barrett M82 is primarily used as anti-material weapon." Says Uriel and dumped it into my hands, he sounded mechanical when he said that like it was practiced, I squinted my eyes at him making him shift in discomfort. "What?" He asks.

"Did you practice that?" I ask him, he blinked.

"Pfft, no! It's just I read a lot about weapons, science is your thing and weapons mine so there's not much to say, I just know every line and detail about each and every weapon here and I will insure you know those details as well." Says Uriel a cold glint flashing through his eyes. My stomach dropped, why does it feel like I'm going to regret this?

"Uh, okay so if it's used as just an anti-material weapon than how come I have to use it?" I ask.

" Didn't you listen?" He asks his eyes wide.

" Um..... yes? But I still... wait! It can penetrate through walls and cover?!" I shouted shocked. The only weapon that I know that could do that is a Ci Fo Sniper T6 back in my world, that could hit the enemy in his head without him even knowing that he died. He smiled.

"Yep, and that's why you'll train with it. Now shoot that." He put up a dummy, stringing it up by its head and letting it roll down the aisle and to the end of the 200 meter run way. Yeah this building is big. Gulping I positioned the sniper on the ground and laid flat on my stomach.

"Couldn't you have made this a little easier?!" I complained.

"Nope, it needs to be hard from the get go so that you can learn. (Did I phrase that right?)" Says Uriel smugly. Damm him.

I aimed using the very nice  10x magnification scope, aligning the crosshairs with a few adjustments and calculations. I just hope the recoil won't do much. With the trickers release the recoil took effect, surprisingly I felt little to nothing. I watched through the scope as I missed. Rubbing the back of my head I sat up.

"I missed." I say sounding defeated, Uriel patted my shoulder.

"That's the point of training, keep going, for today we're only training with this sniper so go on until the magazines run out." He says smiling softly at me.

" Alright." I say and laid back down.

Happy New Years!!! Extra Long Chapter as a gift.
