We Own The Night

Looking in a mirror I see myself, a 16 year old teenage girl with Black hair, Grey eyes and fair skin and wearing a Black hoodie, jeans and no socks or shoes. I dislike footwear, they are like foot coffins but I knew one day I had to get a long with them some day.

When the sun is up, I spent my time in my room, writing songs because I favor music, it calms me when I get sad.

And when the sun is down, and the moon is high, I do what everyone else does, you know, brush teeth and getting ready for bed, but sleeping is my favourite thing to do because my Wolf Spirit jumps out of my sleeping body and turns into a Wolf.

I started the Wolf Spirit thing a few year ago and it was the best thing to ever happen to me, the endless running through streets, jumping higher then frogs and abilities at maybe endless too.

I can see, smell, hear, and even feel things humans cannot and I can even talk to Animals, when I'm in my Human Form, I can " see " the energy of a living being and the Human Form of another WolfWalker that is in Wolf Form but sadly I am the only WolfWalker here.

I've tried howling to get a response from another WolfWalker or just a Wolf but nothing, I know the difference between Dogs and Wolves when they howl or a fake one.

Anyway, I finished brushing my teeth in the bathroom, opened the window all the way next to my bed and lied down on my bed, closed my eyes and fell asleep.

My Wolf Spirit jumped out of my body and turned into a Wolf, I opened my eyes to see that everything looks a bit different because I got some great night vision.

I quietly make my way over to the window I'd left open, I took one more look at my Human body and climbed out of the window and jumped into a tree near by and jumped down from branch to branch.

I jumped off the final branch and I can hear and smell everything and I can see the scent off living being, I'd smelled the air to find the scent of my friends.

* Sniff * * Sniff * Got it, I'd followed the scent and found myself in alleyway and I saw a Rottweiler barking at a Beagle, keeping him struck in a corner.

I ran full speed at the Rottweiler and tracked him, I had my paws pinning him on his side, I was growling at him and he turned his head to look up at me.

" Hey, Misty. " The Rottweiler greeted me with a surprised expression, I'd kept growling at him and removed my paws off of him but my eyes were locked on the Rottweiler.

" What has Rico said? He said not to bully Skipper. " I growled at the Rottweiler, he looked away from me, trying to ignore me.

Skipper ran at us with his tail waggling in joy and had a smile on his face.

" Hi Misty, you're out early. " Skipper said, waggling his tail and jumping up and down with his tiny paws.

" Well, I had to call in a early night because- " I was about to answer him but I got cut off by someone else deep in the alleyway.

" Because you have School in the morning. " Someone finished my sentence. Me, Skipper and the Rottweiler sit in line, next to each other, waiting to see a Chihuahua walk up to us.

The Chihuahua was like the Alpha in our little Pack, he name was Rico but don't let his size think he is cuddly.

Skipper was a playful and naive little Beagle, sometimes he would use his playful expression to get food from different people in the park, he beg for it or steal it.

And finally the Rottweiler, his name was Chase, he would protect us from dranger and sometimes it comes at a cost at him being a bit of a bully.

" I'm not going to lie, I don't want to deal with the work in School life. " I muttered, moving my paw around in the dirt, thinking about all of the endless work at both School and Home.

" Don't worry, I'm sure you will do great and now that you are here, we can have some fun. " Rico said and ran put of the alleyway and into the streets, we followed him to the Dog Park and it was a good thing it was always open.

We played all sorts of game like hide-and-seek, and I sometimes win most of at both of the hiding and seeking because I can hear every little detail and when it's day time, I teach them signals with my hands for just in case.

Hours passed and the Moon was setting so it's time for me to go, we howled together and we said our goodbyes till next time.

I ran back to my house and jumped back up from branch to branch and jumped to into my room and quietly made my way over to my body and exhaled and turned into a Spirit and returned to my body.

And I opened my eyes and got out of bed, I had about a hour to get ready, now let my first day begin.
