Not Terribly Helpful

As they showed up to Sunday dinner as usual, the main difference was that the handholding was real instead of by necessity and Bryce was practically radiating sunshine and rainbows. People definitely noticed his sudden mood shift but no one was brave enough to say anything until Jonas cornered his twin on her way back from the bathroom when no one else could overhear.

He leaned against the wall with his arms crossed looking deceptively casual when his stance was truly one of a person desperate for answers. "What has your fake boyfriend in the best mood I've ever seen? It has to have something to do with you."

"…he isn't my fake boyfriend," Jenna replied awkwardly.

"You can't fool me! I knew you were only doing that to make everyone else worry less about you moving in with him."
