3 Chapter 3: Rewards.

Somewhere on a straw heap inside a stable,

A brown-haired boy around the age of 16 was intently looking at the posh-looking smartphone, but his facial features were contorting in comic rage making him look no better than a constipated old man.

A few minutes ago...

'Where did this expensive-looking smartphone come from?' he thought as a notification popped up on the screen.

[WELCOME TO THE DIMENSIONAL CHAT GROUP, YOU CAN EXCHANGE WORDS AND ITEMS WITH BEINGS FROM OTHER WORLDS. THE CHAT GROUP WILL PROVIDE QUESTS AND CORRESPONDING REWARDS ON THEIR COMPLETION.]

[SHIT NEET HAS JOINED THE CHAT.]

"The heck, what's up with this nickname, whichever bastard did this, you better not let me find you." Kazuma silently screamed.

Then looking at the other notifications, he saw that he was the only one with such an embarrassing nickname.

...... Back to the present.

And only after seeing the notification of Perverted Octopus joining the chat, did he somehow manage to console himself, telling him that he was not the only one, that there was another that faced the same hardship as him.

But, despite that little solace, he typed...

Knowing that it would be the first message he toned down his Keyboard Warrior spirit and tried to be as benign as he could and continued with his typing.

Shit Neet: "Which bastard was behind the names, you better change this and how did you manage to get me a smartphone in this fantasy world?"

This was probably his greatest doubt, to find a smartphone in his hands in a medieval fantasy world of swords and magic. The fantasy part was already his bread and butter and since he was in a different world, the concept of different dimensions is not quite foreign to him.

The chats continued and the admin showed up, only for him to find that the admin himself was a member and became the admin, by the mere coincidence of getting the first invite. The most peculiar thing about the admin was the fact that he was a spirit who was given a physical body by the chat group.

Living in a fantasy world, Kazuma knew better than to mess with elemental spirits who were responsible for the weather and seasons. Exchanging a few words, he found the admin to be quite the agreeable kind and asked him if there was a way to get rid of the 'title' placed on him.

The others introduced themselves and they were either monsters or really important people, he knew that he could not afford to offend any of them, but what fear did he have if they were never to meet each other.

This conclusion had pumped him up with confidence but little did he know...

The last to introduce herself was the Queen of Nightmares, a really cool title for someone who was just another normal person, much like him. But he now had magic and thus, he should be better than her.

"Damn this unjust chat group, insulting me like this. Why can't you give me a cool nickname like the rest, well... Korosensei is an octopus, so he does not count." Kazuma stopped muttering when he saw the reward notification.

[YOU RECEIVED A GIFT FROM THE CHAT GROUP. OPEN? Y/N]

His mood turned a straight 180, he immediately opened his gift pack.

[EXTRACTING REWARDS....]

[REWARD:] TAIJUTSU SCROLL<BASIC>

"Huh? Isn't this from naruto? Hmm... even if this is just the basic, I can really get much stronger with this. Let's see what the others get.

.....................

Somewhere in a normal-looking room in Japan,

A little girl with the legendary washboard figure was drying her hair when he found that her phone had an app called the DCG.

'What is this app, did Hinata somehow install this?' She mused to herself, making herself comfortable on her bed.

She tapped the icon and the next thing she found was a chat group filled with chunibyuo <delusional> folks where she was already logged in as the Queen of Nightmares. That was when the first doubts settled in, neither of her sisters knew about her Queen of Nightmares persona on the internet.

The most absurd thought crossed her head and as soon as it did she shrugged it off, simply because it can't be true, right? This must be a hacker's doing or maybe one of her online friends playing a prank on her.

But when she saw them chat, she was more and more doubtful of her reasonings. 'These guys are really faithful to their characters.' that's what she told herself as she smirked and started typing, thinking that it will all come clear once the admin arrives.

Queen of Nightmares: "I guess once the admin is here, he can answer our doubts" and continued snobbily, "Let this queen see, who dares summon her among the mortals."

But the reality was not at all kind to her when she realized that the 'Kazuma' and 'Koro Sensei' in the chat were the real deal.

The admin himself was not aware of the Chat Group's origin, but from what he could tell, he was sure that the members, including herself, would have to participate in quests given by the Chat Group.

And she was just another normal high schooler, how could she compare with the monsters in the other worlds. The quests would spell certain death for her, no matter what she does, the dangers of the anime worlds were not something she was alien to and now that she was in a position to face them herself she saw nothing but despair.

Aster tried to console her and said that there would be a starter pack once they were done introducing themselves and the quests would not come soon, giving them time to strengthen themselves.

Aster was kind enough to say that he would watch her back and that along with the others' support, she found her courage and introduced herself. She opened the gift and found the notification, [GIFT RECEIVED:] SACRED GEAR <TWILIGHT HEALING>.

She immediately remembered the much famous anime called High School DxD, the world her gift came from.

'Thank God, with the Twilight Healing, I will at least be able to support the others and not be a hindrance. Let's see what the others get.' She thought and browsed through the functions of the Chat Group.

..............

Somewhere in an old school building, a yellow octopus with an explicit grin was dodging bullets as he was taking attendance on the roster. He was moving at blinding speeds as he finished marking them present.

Suddenly he heard something, something that made him rush off after declaring a free period. A mad dash at Mach 20 later, Koro Sensei found himself sitting on top of the Taj Mahal with his new and remodeled smartphone in his hands... well, tentacles.

This bizarre happening intrigued him and he opened the smartphone to find only a single app in it, he immediately pushed the home button and started looking through the files, only to find it squeaking clean. All of the premium porn he had stashed, had vanished into thin air along with the user ids and passwords he had never bothered remembering.

After screaming and cursing his guts out, he was about to drop the phone in the Arabian Sea, and suddenly a notification popped in.

[The Chat Group can fulfill all your desires provided you complete the quests issued and live to enjoy the rewards. Are you willing to undertake the contract? Y/N.]

His movements stopped and he knew that this was not a prank, and even if it was, someone who was capable enough to replace his phone would not play a tasteless joke like this.

Looking through the messages he found that the person behind this could indeed be tasteless enough to play a joke like this. How did he know?

"My damned name should be enough evidence. How dare they slander my good name?" the octopus poked in the narrator's speech.

Ahem!

"Sorry for intruding, you continue and I will be opening my gift. Let's see what I get." The octopus apologized and returned to wait for the gift.

[GIFT RECEIVED: ORB OF ILLUSIONS. <ALLOWS THE USER TO TAKE ANY FORM HE CAN THINK OF.> [pic here]

The next thing he did was think of his original body and he turned back to his original handsome appearance, looking at his human form, Ryushi broke into tears as he knelt down on the ground. <Ryushi Korogane was the real name of our beloved Koro Sensei.> [Pic here]

"Aguri, why did you leave me..." he whispered as tears rolled down his face.

'I finally have my body back and you are not here by my side, can this Chat Group really bring you back? If it can, I don't care what the quests are, I will bring you back, wait for me Aguri...'

.........

Somewhere in a victorian looking office.

Madam Amelia Bones was sitting in her office behind a pile of paperwork. Being the head of DMLE, with an incompetent minister holding the seat was no less than a nightmare, but she single-handedly kept the whole British Magical Community afloat, making the ends meet.

She was known for her strict and fair attitude towards everyone, the thirty-two-year-old witch looked much older than she really was due to all that stress, where her peers looked like they were still in their late teens, she already looked like a middle-aged woman.

<The magical folks mature quicker and age slower due to the magic reconditioning their bodies. An average wizard had double the lifespan of a non-magical person.>

But who could blame her for that, the tragedies she faced were no less compared to any who had lost loved ones in the second wizarding world. She had her whole family wiped out to save her niece whom her elder brother had named after her.

Despite all her pain and grief, she held on and forged through her way to her position and vowed to never let such a tragedy repeat itself, to her and anybody else.

Just as she was about to leave the office after another late-nighter, she found a black smartphone on her desk. looking at the muggle contraption that was way ahead of its time, she quickly cast some inspection charms on it.

Seeing that it had no traces of being cursed, hexed, or poisoned in any manner, she picked it up. A notification popped in, [WELCOME TO THE DIMENSIONAL GROUP CHAT, YOU CAN EXCHANGE WORDS AND ITEMS WITH PEOPLE ACROSS WORLDS.]

After finding it extremely difficult to handle, she took the admin's advice and read the manual which made using the contraption a lot easier. After introducing themselves a reward came in with another notification.

[REWARD DETECTED. EXTRACTING...]

[GIFT RECEIVED: POTION PACKAGE<MID> OPEN? Y/N]

She opened the package to see two vials with glowing potions in them, one blue and the other green. The potions were the most beautiful ones she had ever seen but now came the billion galleon question.

To use it or not, would it be wise to trust an unknown source that claimed to connect people across worlds and even dimensions. She found a note with the potions, that read, 'the potion is absolutely safe to consume and the effects are guaranteed by the chat group. The blue one is the impurity expelling potion and the green one is called the vitality potion, the uses are apparent by their names. Can only be used or seen by the members of the Chat Group. [pic here]

After a few minutes of deliberation, she decided to ask the others if their gifts were what they claimed to be.
