Rosetta

After hearing that painful story, I now realize that everything that they are trying to do is to save themselves and of course us.

"Rose, I know you are a good girl and you proved it last night but can you promise us that no matter what, you don't tell anyone about us please?" I smiled as Chris requested me like a baby.

"Chris, trust me, I won't tell anyone and why would I do that? Your secret is safe with me." I meet my gaze to Drake's. "I know it's hard but you have to trust me."

"I do….. I do trust you, Rose." Drake said, staring at me with a smirk.

"Yes, we trust you, Rose. You're my best friend." Chris said as she smiled and so am I. Seriously that is a relief to know that he trusts me.

"These deadly creatures are made of elements," Andrew said.

"Elements?" I parrot his word.

"Yes, the one you killed last night was made of dust," Andrew told me about that element stuff and now I know why it's not hard to kill that monster in the river. Other monsters are made of fire, water, air, etc.

"So that water formula doesn't work on the rest of them?" I asked. Drake smirked, "No it's not."

"Rose, they are using humans just to find us, they tortured them and make them suffer."

Silence settles for a moment as we all just quit. Cold wind with snow falling gives me a shiver. I slowly looked up to see Drake; he was gently tapping on the table with his fingers.

"Even if they ever tried to use me, I try my best to save you. I rather die instead of betray you. Betraying those who care about you is better than suffering this pain or anything.

I know, I understand. Your life is seriously way harder than mine." I said softly.

A small smile escapes from the corner of his lips and it gives my stomach fluttering with butterflies... "I like that confidence Rose but I'm hoping that you never… ever gonna have to see it."

"All right, enough talking on that topic the waiter is coming so let's enjoy our ice creams."

"Andrew, why are you so loud you can also say that in low volume," Chris teased him.

"Well, I'm hungry that's why sweetheart." Andrew laughed. "Your ice creams." The waiter said as he served and left.

"Ah! Thank you for bringing ice creams for us." Drake said.

Seriously we all are really hungry and start digging into our ice creams. After everything, I really feel bad for them and I literally want to help them.

"Rose?" I looked at Drake, "Yeah?"

"There is so much more that we need to discuss but after enjoying that moment." I nodded.

We go straight to our house and discuss all of it in detail."

"Good idea Andrew," Drake said. "I know, my brother I'm a genius."

"Ha-ha, not more than me."

"Boys you start fighting again. Seriously Rose, when we were kids, they used to fight a lot and me well…. I flipped them off in the water."

"Wow Chris, You did the right thing."

"Thanks." I look at him; he's playing with ice cream more than eating. I know he's upset right now and I feel very sorry for him, but there's nothing I can do about it.

I promised him that no matter what I won't tell anyone about Snow's family and he smiled. Drake, he's a good boy, I know but he's broken after everything.

"I have a question?" Everybody starts looking at me.

"What is it?" Chris asked, friendly.

"A couple was killed in Winchester when they went on a campaign; tell me that you guys don't have any connection with them?" No answer, I've got no reply from anyone. Andrew meets his gaze with Drake and then mine.

"We —"

"I killed them," Drake said with a dark tone by cutting Andrew off. He clears his throat and rubs one ear with his forefinger. "I killed them that night."

"Why? I asked. You killed them badly." Little anger and hurt filled my heart. I can't believe he actually did that. He sighed "It's because they don't deserve to live."

"You can't tell who deserves to live or not," I said with a little anger in my voice. "Rose, it isn't Drake's fault."

"So you are telling me, Andrew, that it's all the fault of that couple who were killed with cold blood?"

Chris tapped her hand on my shoulder, "Rose, we don't want to kill them but they worked for W.B.D that's why we need to kill them."

I looked at Chris, "What's W.B.D?"

"Wicked Blood Department," Andrew said. "Rose, somehow they knew that we exist especially in Winchester."

"What do they want from you?" I asked.

"They want us, they want to imprison us, they want to expose us in front of the world because the monsters that are sent by Mystic are killing humans daily just to find us and W.B.D thinks that it's we who are behind their deaths.

They also want to get rich and famous. That couple found us when a monster attacked Drake, he used his powers to kill that monster but that couple watched everything and that couple was working for W.B.D that's why he killed them too." Andrew said.

"I didn't mean to kill them but they are a risk to my family," Drake said. I feel bad, really bad because I yelled at him, without knowing his intentions.

"It's okay Drake, I understand now. You have your own reasons and I'm sorry."

"It's okay," Drake said as he smiled softly.

"Alright everybody, Chris clapped her hands. Ice cream is finished, so we need to go home and talk about the important stuff."

"Right," Andrew said, grabbing his keys, let's go.

Drake

I don't want anything but the safety of my family; I want to stay away from Rose but my love damns it! I love her… maybe? I don't know. She's in danger, everybody is in danger.

What should I do? I'm a devil and she's a human, I'm a fire and she's a flower. If she stays with me my fire will burn her too, but I can't live without her.

It's really cold weather; I took Rose's hand as she looked at me and smiled.

I open the car door for her as we both sit in the backseat and Chris and Andrew are in the front seats. He's driving and I'm enjoying that moment with Rose.

Her red hair and aqua color dress…. fuck! She's beautiful. She looked at me and I hastily stared out the window, she laughed at my acting.

She knows that I was staring at her; I know she likes my company.

She holds my hand without looking at me; she's looking at the window. I hold her hand tightly, she meets her gaze, we actually both staring at each other.

Andrew and Chris watched us with a little mirror in the car and smiled. Rose and I stared at each other and my brother and sister watched that full drama lives in the car's mirror.

"Ahem!" Chris cough, well we all know it's a teasing cough. "Andrew, I think there are two more love birds except us."

"You're right, Chris, they are sitting behind us." Rose starts blushing, oh my God; she's looking more beautiful when she's blushing. I punch Andrew; they are making fun of us.

"We are home, everyone," Chris said.

"Welcome home, Rose." I looked at her and she smiled. "Thanks."

"You're welcome." We entered our home and then straight to the living room. Chris used her powers and served fresh hot chocolate to everyone.

"Wow, Chris, you are very good at magic." She laughed, "Thanks, Rose."

"Chris tell me your hybrid story?" Andrew and I sit beside the ladies.

"I was human but one day a monster attacked me and I was dying so Andrew gave me his powers, I've got his powers and that makes me hybrid because of it I'm human and half devil too from that day on."

"It's because I never wanted to lose you, Chris," Andrew said. "Aww, I know dear."

"That's a romantic story," I said.

"Seriously Rose, that's what Drake said to us."

I smirked, "Yeah because it is romantic Chris."

"And a little tragic," Andrew said.

"Hey, I'm going to bake some muffins for us," she pointed to Andrew to come with her.

"Okay," he said. Chris and Andrew are in the kitchen and it's just me and baby girl.

"Rose," I said with a soft tone. "You need to learn so much about everything."

"Like what?" She said I'm staring at her bright pink lips. It's covered with little melted chocolate and I swear, I want to taste her. I'm drowning... Again. She's amazing. Purely.

"Your lips?" I touch her lips with my thumb to wipe that chocolate softly, she's looking at my thumb. I put my thumb into my mouth and feel the taste of chocolate and a little touch of strawberry gloss.

Yeah, I know it's girls' stuff but I love it anyway. I'm teasing her; it's always fun to tease her.

"You're a mysterious flirty weirdo I've ever seen in my life, Drake Snow."

I chuckle, "You like it baby girl just admit it," I winked and she's blushing.

I saw Chris coming with a big plate of fruity muffins.

"Seriously, you girls love fruits? It's like chocolate is dead for you." Chris giggled, "Drake you need to eat some fruits, it's good for your health."

"Chris, who are you even explaining to? That mysterious weirdo? Who only knows how to flirt and eat chocolates?"

"Yeah, my bad thanks Rose, I'm just wasting my time on boys."

I raised an eyebrow and met my gaze at Rose, "Are you allergic to my flirtiness or my chocolates?"

"Actually, I'm allergic to you Drake."

I bent myself to her, my lips touching her ear, "Get used to it baby girl because I'm gonna make that allergy to a marvelous addiction of yours someday."

She looked at me and softly touched my cheek with her cold forefinger, "Are you challenging me?"

"Yep, I'm challenging you," I said.

"Challenge accepted Drake Snow; get yourself ready to lose that challenge. I smirked, "let's see!"
