After a pause, I looked at Mei. "Why do you think Zheng Yufei would rather let others touch her but not me? Is it because of our original relationship?"

Mei was taken aback by this and then looked at me with an awkward expression. "Wen, there's something I'm not sure if I should say."

I was interested in what Mei had to say. "Mei, just tell me what it is."

Mei hesitated for a moment but then spoke. "Wen, when Yufei was a child, she was molested by a friend of her father's in business. She was only nine years old. Since that time, she has had an innate aversion to men."

She paused, then continued. "As for Leng, that was an accident. Leng and Yufei were college classmates, and upon learning about Yufei's past, he did not reject her but has been pursuing her ever since. Even though Yufei accepted him, the person she likes now is a girl."
