When the twins parted ways with Sigmund they both looked at each other and without saying a single word nodded their heads. The two proceeded to change the direction they were walking towards and headed to an empty warehouse.
The twins then stood in front of the shutter door of the warehouse and tapped it. A scanner appeared which scanned the twins, and once the scan was over the twins spoke to the shutter door in sync.
"The glory of the past will never be forgotten. The hope of humanity rest on our hands." After saying the password the shutter door opened revealing a room full of training equipment.
The twins then changed clothes and without saying anything or doing anything special started to train.
...
The twins were known to the world as the siblings of Alexander and Lilitth Samarita, the strongest of hunters. The children of Michel and Carlo Samarita legendary mercenaries. Yet none know of them as simply Yuuki and Mirai Samarita. No matter what kind of achievement they had no matter how great it was to be expected. Then when they failed, the people look at them in disappointment.
Of course, none of their family members treat them any differently even if they do fail. It's just those people who keep on looking at them from outside the circle.
Knowing how much weaker they were than their two older siblings, the twins would train harder than anyone else. They wanted to be able to stand proudly beside their older siblings. They wanted to be acknowledged for they were not who their family was.
This was one of the reasons the twins got along so well with Sigmund Resteti. Since he was the same as them, always being compared never being seen for who he was. Wanting to prove his worth not to others but to himself.
...
After an intense workout, the twins went inside a ring. The two were not wearing any protective gear as they believed that such things were unnecessary. The twins spar daily with emphasize on hand to hand combat. They did this because they believed that when everything goes wrong and their abilities and weapons become useless the only thing they can rely on were their own bodies.
The techniques they used in hand to hand combat were the techniques of old when humans fought against other humans. Each attack they made was meant to strike a vital area of the opponent's body. Yet no matter what the other did the other could easily evade.
Instead of fighting it looked like the two were dancing instead. In fact, the coordination of their movements were so precise that it felt like it was made by one person instead of two.
"Hey did you notice?" Yuuki spoke as he delivered a spinning backhand strike.
"Of course I did," Mirai answered while dodging the strike and counterattacking with a frontal punch.
"So what should we do?" Yuuki asked as he caught Mirai's arm that punched out. He then proceeded to use an overhead throw on Mirai. Before she was thrown Mirai jumped upward making it easier for her to control her fall.
"At this rate, if we continue to do things by ourselves we'll be left behind," Mirai answered as she charged forward and performed a sliding side kick.
Unable to dodge on time Yuuki was forced to block the move. "Are you suggesting we ask for help... From her?..." Yuuki didn't continue to attack and simply stood at the side stopping the sparring session.
"We have no other choice. Among the people we know, she's the only one who could help us get stronger." Mirai took a towel she placed at the side and wiped the sweat off her body as she answered.
"That crazy chick is going to ask for something absurd in exchange." Just thinking about his fate once they ask for that favor, made Yuuki shiver in fear.
"Don't be so dramatic, she probably would just ask you for a date," Mirai answered while looking at her twin brother with emotionless eyes.
"That's the problem! It would be alright if it was a normal date, but no it's never like that. Even with her particular circumstance, she does things too extremely!" Yuuki was shivering just thinking about all his past experiences with the woman.
"If you're fine being left behind by Sieg and if you're fine being looked down upon, then sure, we don't need to ask for help. We can try our best on our own and hope that our efforts are enough."
Hearing what his sister was saying made Yuuki grit his teeth and sigh. "Fine then! I'll do it! I'll sacrifice my sanity and my personal well being if that's what's needed!" As usual, Mirai knew the right words to say to convince her twin brother to do what she wanted.
"That's the spirit, I'll call her now." Mirai smiled sweetly at her twin brother.
"You know I like you more when you pretend to be like Aniue and talk less." Yuuki shrugged his shoulders as he gave up and accepted what's to come.
