Leaderboard climbing

The trick to a faster level up is simple, just kill any mob you come across, no matter the level. If you kill less than your level you get the same exp, if you kill higher than your level, you get an increase of 5% for every level.

After killing for about 5 minutes, Yel reached Level 5 after killing around 50 monsters. He was probably the fastest person in the world to level up.

Yel now had an AGI of 10, which is really high for the beginning. This meant Yel's dodge stat now exceeded your average DPS's hit rate stats. His raw speed, without his talent, was getting closer to Usain Bolt.

He opened the leaderboard again:

Top 5, that's good enough. Yel thought. It was time to get more social than just solo kicking ass. He knew well that Lee was abusing the early game party EXP buff + leapfrog EXP buff.

With a party, Lee and his friends can easily take down monsters 4-5 levels above them, even boss monsters.

Boss monsters often dropped loot like weapons, armour, and even skill books. You ask why Yel killed 50+ mobs and didn't see him pick up anything?

Awaken monsters don't have a drop rate. They drop everything they hold. If they know a skill, they will drop the skill book. Yel was killing animals like monkeys. Ever seen any monkey with gold, swords, or armour?

Boss monsters are often highly equipped. Normally you would expect at least one purple piece of equipment from them. Or if you're lucky enough, get a boss with no equipment at all.

This was lucky because Awaken wouldn't make such a mistake. The game won't allow you to fight your life for a dungeon and get a final boss with no drops. So when the boss appears to have no equipment, it is almost certain that he will drop at least one skill book, if not more.

Yel is certain that Lee would be well equipped by now. Now why aren't these nerds accepting my friend requests?
