Eyeing the scholar settling down, Li Jing chose to get straight to the point.
"The Immortal Realm is the game, and as a player in it, you must know some of the inside stories, right?"
Facing such a direct question, the scholar was taken aback for a moment, then gave a bitter smile.
"Mr. Li, you're overestimating me. I'm merely a chess piece in this game, and not of my own choosing."
Having said this, he glanced at the three people lying on the ground.
"Not just me, the experiences of these three are not much better than mine, including the venerable Buddhist monk."
Before Li Jing could respond, the scholar constantly stared at him with a piercing gaze.
"Mr. Li, I acknowledge your capabilities. But you may have misunderstood something. This world is like a game and our lives are the pieces. Those of us who were once prestigious in the Ancient Fairyland, we're no different than ants in the eyes of the higher powers of the Upper Three Realms."
Li Jing fell silent.
