Lu Yurong and the others spurred their horses to a slow trot, taking their sweet time.

Basking in the brilliant sunlight, they felt their bodies gradually warming. However, the light reflected off the metal armor worn by the soldiers standing on both sides of the road revealed a chilling sense of gloom, creating an atmosphere that was strangely solemn.

"Elder cousin sister, is Chu Li really that great?" Leng Ying asked out of curiosity.

Lu Yurong rolled her eyes. "He had the guts to hit Leng Tao. What do you think?"

"He is indeed courageous." Leng Ying pursed her lips and smiled. "Everyone knows about my ninth uncle's temper. No one dares to mess with him because of it. But then we saw Chu Li slapped Brother Tao. He really is courageous!"

"Yes, very courageous." Consort Lu laughed gently. "This young man is quite interesting."
