10 Chapter 10: Millefiore Famiglia vs Tepes Clan (IV)

"Welcome to our base and goodbye."

After saying that, my people start to blast the enemies in front of us. I also shoot my pistol at the man leading the vampires in front of us. After a few seconds, we stop as the others start reloading and wait for our attack's result.

However, before the dust even disappears, my instinct screams at me to dodge or block. I put my hand forward and created a shield made of sky flame.

"I will kill you!"

What is in front of me is a mouth full of sharp teeth and glowing red eyes glaring at me.

"I will rip apart your body one by one! I will eat your flesh while you are alive! I will fly you and hang your corpse for the others to see!"

I point my pistol at him and say.

"Then you need to try harder than this."

I put a lot of flame into my pistol and pressed the trigger. I can see the man create ten magic circles in front of him just in time as my pistol releases a torrent of orange fire.

"Luca! Felicia! You guys are in command! Kill them all!"

"Yes, boss!"

"With pleasure, my lord~."

After saying that, I appear in front of the vampire and swing my sword. He raises his hand to block my attack, and I can see energy around his arm to combat my sky flame.

"You ruin everything!"

"Good! Because that was the plan from the beginning!"

I push him away, twist my arm and swing my sword upwards. He snarls as my attack creates a small wound on his stomach that immediately gets healed. He dashes at me and swings his claws at me. I block the incoming attack with my sword and widen my eyes when I see five magic circles appear above me.

I take out my animal box and summon my companion. Two dragons appear and destroy the magic circle. After seeing his magic circle get destroyed, the vampire jumps away from me and says,

"Coward! You dare to fight me with a helper?!"

I look at him weirdly and say.

"Are you serious? You guys are attacking us with numbers. Do you not feel ashamed that your force is reduced to this? Also, we are humans. This is how we fight and the reason why we survive to this day."

I ran toward him while firing many flame bullets at him. He uses his claw to cut through my flame bullet coming at him before raising his left hand to block my sword attack as I jump at him when I arrive in front of him.

I fire my pistol once again and see him block it using his right hand. I push my sword and see him stagger slightly at the sudden push. Before he can regain his balance, my white dragon flies forward and releases a torrent of flame at him.

I dash forward and swing my sword after the flame is gone. However, he dodges it and swings his left claw at me. I duck and thrust my sword just to see it get blocked by a magic circle. He raised his hand and thrust it at me. However, before it can hit me, my black dragon coils around his arm and holds it in place.

I swing my sword and create a gash on his body. I can see him gritting his teeth in frustration and pain before suddenly; his body turns into a group of bats to escape from my dragon. When he is far away from me, he turns back into his humanoid form, but this time, I can see bat wings coming out of his body.

"You damned human! Prepare to die!"

He creates fifty magic circles in the sky, and I quickly gather my sky flame in my hands. I clap my hand a second later, and white energy washes over the area. The magic circles he created get destroyed. However, the other flames and magic my people use also get destroyed.

This is the weakness of White Applause. Not only does it require the same amount of energy the opponent releases, but it also negates my allies' attack and defense.

After destroying his magic circles, I put my sky flame on my feet and kicked the air using my sky flame. As I appear above him, I swing down my sword at him, who tries to block my attack with its claw. However, my enchanted attack throws him to the ground, creating a crater with him in the middle of it.

I release a torrent of fire from my back to push me forward at a very high speed as I thrust my sword at the heart of the vampire. I can see him release blood from his mouth as my sword destroys his heart.

However, instead of being angry, he smirks at me and says.

"I will take you with me, human! Vampiric Blast!"

I widen my eyes, jump away from him and shout.

"Shiro! Kuro!"

I call my two dragons toward me. Shiro creates a dome of Sky Flame around me, and Kuro multiplies its body before coiling around my body, creating a cocoon that will protect me. I feed them as much Sky Flame as possible to make them even stronger.

A second later, I can hear a massive explosion outside my cocoon and feel the cocoon shake violently. I grit my teeth as I feel pain hit my left arm. The barrier is managed to block the attack, but some of them manage to go through it.

When Shiro and Kuro let me out, I could see my left hand get blackened from the explosion. My Sky Flame works overtime to harmonize all the curse and dark energy lingering in my left arm so it does not spread to the rest of my body.

I smile at Shiro and Kuro before letting them return to their box. They deserve to rest. I take my sword from the ground and join the others in fighting the vampire.

I swing my sword and clean it from the vampire's blood. I look around and see out of forty people that join us, only eighteen people that survive. More than half of the people died in the battle.

I shake my head in sadness before saying.

"Luca, take the others and gather the one that falls in this battle. We will give them a proper burial later."

"Yes, boss."

"Felicia, gather the injured. We will heal them. Prioritize the one with the most injury."

"Yes, my lord."

I nod and take a deep breath.

"VICTORY!"

I smile a little when I hear the people around me shout in happiness as we win this fight. We will be busy from now on. However, we will have some party first.
