Turn Six

Gideon felt a mental kick which caused him to wake up. Blearily looking around, Gideon realized it was still night. He felt the mental kick again, softer this time. Wondering what was going on, Gideon focused on the sensation. He felt it was a card, a spell he may lose forever. Gideon finally recognized what was going on, Nomad's Assembly was giving him the opportunity to cast it again.

He felt cold sweat forming across his body as he realized what would have happened if the card didn't force him awake, it would be lost to exile forever. He calmed down and willed the card to activate again. The throne room shined bright for the briefest of seconds, then 32 Kor soldier tokens appeared around the throne. Gideon calmed down when he felt Nomad's Assembly appear safely in his graveyard. As his minor adrenaline spike wore off, Gideon felt himself be consumed by his exhaustion once more.

The next morning, Gideon was gently shaken awake by Prava. After seeing Gideon open his eyes, she gestured to the gathered tokens and asked, "Did you not feel safe last night?"

Gideon was confused for a bit, before realizing that he never gave any orders to the summoned Kor soldiers before falling back asleep. Therefore none of the new tokens had moved from their initial positions staring at him. "Well, that is a bit creepy... No, I was fine last night. Except for almost losing one of my spells to exile forever," Gideon replied slowly. "I forgot that Rebound required the player to play the spell at the beginning of their upkeep, which is at midnight."

"Good thing it worked out, else our future army would be limited." Akroma chimed in.

"Yeah," Gideon replied, still exhausted. "First things first, let's expand our army slightly." Gideon then activated the ability of the throne he was sitting on and the throne room got slightly more crowded. "To the Library," Gideon commanded his newest tokens. He became confused when the tokens turned and left without him.

"You really need to learn to command your tokens more with intent and less with pure words," Aegis mockingly educated Gideon while smirking. Gideon, reluctantly taking the message to heart, mentally called on 4 of the retreating tokens to come back and bring him with them.

When the group made it to the Library, Gideon looked and the new card he 'drew' was a basic land. This worked out great for him since he could use it today and it wouldn't be taking up a slot in his hand. Gideon drew the two sorcery cards that he wanted to cast today. He then mentally commanded the soldiers carrying his throne to take him to the plains behind them. There he added his fourth basic land to the peninsula.

Gideon thought about how many tokens he was going to be able to summon to bolster his army today and smiled for 2 different reasons. Firstly, because his army was going to quadruple in size today. Secondly, because 'Hehehe, I currently have 69 creatures in my army.'

"Alright, 69 more soldiers to the army," Gideon said while casting Deploy to the Front towards his peninsula. The spell caused a huge glowing-white circle to appear a few meters above his plain. Then a ridiculous number of troops appeared falling out of the circle. Gideon stared in shock at the army of hundreds that were saluting him.

"My lord, why did you not use this spell yesterday? It would have been much more useful to have this many troops to quadruple today instead of just doubling them now." Prava inquired.

"I had no idea that there were already creatures in this plane, I thought I was the only one who could summon creatures. I need some time to figure this out." Gideon slowly answered her while thinking to himself about what happened. 'Could the R.O.B. that summoned me here have added another person as a type of giant color war? They had more creatures than me, did they start earlier? Oh sh*t, it isn't someone with Endless Ranks of the Dead, is it? If they can get multiple copies of that enchantment, the entire world wouldn't be able to stop them after just a few days.' Gideon continued down his rabbit hole of paranoia and fear for a few more minutes before he was interrupted.

"So, as I understand it, you can summon us to this plane because of a legendary fruit that you ate. Is there any other legendary fruits in this plane, or was that the only one?" Akroma asked.

Gideon, after being snapped out of his hysteria, answered her, "No, there are literally hundreds of those fruits in this plane. In fact, all magic in the plane is a result of those fruits."

"So, no one else has a fruit that can summon or create creatures of any kind." Akroma pushed.

"Akroma, you are a genius. There is a fruit that can create zombies..." Gideon trailed off as he felt a spike of bloodlust from Akroma.

"Zombies, you have intel on a necromancer and didn't share it?!" Akroma said in a voice leaking killing intent.

"Yes, however, the necromancer is currently stronger than us. He is one of the Shichibukai. We will have enough strength to defeat him in a few days. However, he is near the end of Paradise. We won't be able to destroy him without the World Government interfering. We will have to wait until we can fight against the world and win if you want to smite him," Gideon placated her.

"To support a necromancer, the World Government must be far more corrupt than you said. They are completely irredeemable," Akroma stated.

"That they are," Gideon agreed. "However, there is a silver lining. Because of their evil, you will get an army of angels to destroy them much earlier than otherwise. Everyone, brace yourselves." Gideon then cast his other sorcery, Devout Invocation. He decided to tap all 1053 creatures he had. Every creature instantly felt all energy leave their bodies and above their heads, an angel appeared. So now, Akroma could lead over a thousand 12/16 angels to the top of the Redline whenever she wanted.

There was an added benefit for Gideon other than adding over a thousand more troops to his army, they were all angels, so he received 1053 additional health from Seraph Sanctuary. So, Gideon felt much better now than he did when he woke up this morning. His constant migraine over the past three days even disappeared. Standing up for the first time in two days, Gideon stretched out his body.

Gideon then mentally commanded one of the new angels to get Elixir of Immortality from the throne room. When she came back he used his last two mana for the day to drink the elixir, letting all of his graveyard spells go back into his Library. He mentally commanded his new angels to help his non-token creatures into the throne room.

Gideon walked up beside Aegis and said, "Not quite as snappish when you are the one so exhausted that you need someone to carry you around, are you?"

"Kindly walk off the top of the top of the Sanctum," Aegis replied.

"Towards the sea side or the beach side?" Gideon questioned with a laugh.

"Beach side," Aegis replied curtly. Gideon chuckled as he walked off.

When all of the non-tokens were gathered in the throne room, Gideon addressed them, "Alright, there is only one more thing I have to do today before I relax in the sunlit plains for the rest of the day. You all are welcome to get your angel helpers to help you retire to your rooms. Akroma, there are only two more days until you get to unleash your righteous fury over any sinner that crosses Reverse Mountain. Dismissed."

Gideon then walked back out of the Sanctum, thinking about which person deserved to be struck down with lightning. As he lay in the plain near the Sanctum soaking up the sunshine, he thought of the darker people in One Piece and all the atrocities that happen. Eventually, he remembered the burning of Gray Terminal. He remembered that all the nobles conspired to commit genocide. It was impossible for him to know the names of all the nobles, however, there was one who is easy to remember, Sterry, Sabo's adopted brother. This caused him to decide on the day's target. He activated Scepter of Empires thinking, 'King Sterry of Goa Kingdom.' When he felt the Scepter fail to fire, he knew that the timeline was pre-time skip. He tried again, 'Prince Sterry of Goa Kingdom.' The Scepter fired this time meaning he had the timeline narrowed down to 10 years.

**Gao Kingdom**

Sterry was enjoying his day while watching the guards beat up a little boy that tripped in front of him, kicking up dust on his royal clothes. He threw his head back in laughter while watching the child puke up blood from a vicious blow to his chest. "That's what you get you trash, you don't ever even let your dust touch me. I am a noble, I am better than you i..."

The surrounding population was forced to watch in horror at Sterry's actions. Then a bolt of white lightning struck Sterry, cutting off his megalomaniacal ramblings mid-sentence. His corpse fell to the ground charred black. The soldiers were so scared by the sudden occurrence they froze long enough for the child to run away. The soldiers grabbed Sterry's corpse and ran back from Town Center to the Royal Palace.

The population that saw the incident, and suffered under Stelly's callousness and cruelty, slowly began to spread rumors of a karmic bolt of white lightning that punishes the evil nobles of the world. The rumor would have died out quickly, but before sunset that day, the current king of Goa had three people of Edge Town hung when they were caught spreading the rumors.

The World Government that received information about both the mysterious bolt of white lightning appearing for the second time and the rumors, began to internally suspect that both actions were the result of the World's Worst Criminal Monkey D. Dragon. However, the World Government official assigned to Goa reassured Goa's nobles that it was only an isolated incident of clear-sky lightning.

I am planning on mass releasing today to get the story up to the 15,000 word limit for the rankings. Though that isn't guaranteed as I have still have to write one more today (hopefully only one) to get to that point as of the time I released this chapter.

Four chapters instead of two this week. So don't expect more until next Sunday or Monday.
