Chapter 30

Avril walked into his house, after what he said Avril realised how deep his feelings for Lina were even after a short time of being with her.

Richard had held him back until he calmed down and by the time he left it was late in the evening.

The house was quiet, he strolled in and didn't see her. Heading to his room he stopped at the door.

Lina was laying on his bed, asleep. A familiar image appeared in his mind, she always loved crawling in his bed.

Quietly he moved to the bed and sat down gazing down at her sleeping face.

"Why are you dressed in my shorts again" he murmured after he saw the shirt she was in. His hand stroked her face warmly and Lina shifted, his movement stopped but it was too late, her lashes fluttered and Lina opened her eyes.

"Your back," she said

"Mmm, am sorry I took too long," he said.

Getting up she opened her arms, "Hold me then, this room is cold" Avril pulled her in embarrassing Lina.

She breathed holding him back, "Did you handle the argent matter at work?"

"Yes," he said, she pulled away gazing into his eyes.

"Are you sad"

He smiled, "Not anymore"

She smiled sitting back down. Avril chuckled, "I remember we took all your belonging today, can I ask why you're dressed in my shirt?"

She looked down and gasped, "I... I... forgot to change"

"Change?"

"Mmm, It was lonely and cold. I don't know why but now I can't sleep without you next to me. So I decided to put on your shirt but after I laid down I fell asleep, am sorry

Avril laughed, " It's alright, I like it "his eyes moved down to her exposed thighs and open buttons revealing her chest.

Lina followed his eyes and instantly pulled the covers over her. Avril laughed louder and she blushed.

"Am confused, I thought you wanted me to see "he said.

"No...no I only wanted your scent so I could sleep "

"Okay, I will take that "he got up.

Lina watched him get undressed and looked away.

Avril noticed it and chuckled," You can go back to sleep, I will take a shower " he disappeared into the shower.

Lina sighed.

When he got out she wasn't in bed or the room. Changed in his casual clothes Avril went downstairs to find her in the kitchen.

"What are you doing? "he asked. She turned with a smile," making you something to eat ".

"Huh "

"You didn't eat anything since we returned and am hungry too, so I decided to make us something "she said.

He sat down," Do you know how? "

She nodded as he served him his share," Here try it "

Avril went ahead and gave her a nod, "It's good ". Lina giggled sitting down and tasting hers.

In the middle of eating Avril suddenly got up startled Lina looked up.

"Are you okay? "she asked.

"Excuse me, "he said walking away.

Lina worried and followed him," Avril, what happened? "she asked. But he didn't answer going up the stairs in a rush, Lina tried to stop him but failed when the door to his room closed behind him.

"Avril, please tell me what's wrong. Was the food that bad? "she cried. Trying to listen she heard him groan in pain, Lina tried to open the door but failed.

Scared she pushed forcibly and with a few pushes the door gave in, Lina froze when the door knob fell out remaining in her hand.

The door jerked open and Lina forgot the knob and ran inside, Avril was on the floor moaning.

She rushed to him," What is happening to you Avril, please tell me ".

Turning him to see his face Lina frowned," What is happened to you... "

Avril gazed at her, his face full of sweat, as he turned more paler. Slowly his eyes opened. Lina noticed them glow and when he tried to speak, she could see his sharp white fangs.

"Lina... you need to go out "he breathed..." stay away from me "

"But I can't, you're in pain. Was it the food, am sorry..... but your eyes... and teeth "she stammered.

"Just go call Mom, "he said.

Lina nodded but didn't get up," I want to help but don't want to leave your side "she cried.

Avril gazed up at her," Don't worry about me, just go call her "

Lina gently placed him down and ran out to get her phone, but then stopped crying," I don't have her number.... where is his phone "Running back to the room she found him staggering up to his feet.

She rushed to his side," Lay down I will get you what you want "

"Just stay away from me Lina, please "It sounded like he was pleading now.

She held on to him," Please tell me what's wrong so I can help "

He turned to her and Lina found herself moving back but his hand grabbed her before she could get away.

His face was almost white, cheekbones protruding his cold eyes glowing. His fangs were sharper now, holding her by the neck Avril got closer.

"You're hurting me "she cried as her back hit the wall.

Her eyes stared in his and there seemed to be something hiding behind them. But even with that Lina didn't feel scared of the sight, it was him being in pain that frightened her.

Lina moved grabbing his hand twisting it behind his back and pushing him back down.

"Avril, I don't know what's happening to you but..... "she stopped.

"Blood, I need blood "he muttered.

"Huh, blood? "she repeated. But why would he need blood, distracted Avril turned changing their positions, Lina laid down now with him on top of her.

Huffing Lina looked at him," Blood, blood... Is what you need isn't it?... Then take mine "she muttered.

Avril bent down to her lips, Lina gasped as he took her by surprise kissing her aggressively. She moaned but then he moved his lips down to her neck, she breathed feeling his tongue lick her skin.

"Uhh "she cried when his fangs dug into her neck. Letting go of her hands he concentrated on sucking her blood. She moved her now free hands to hold him while the other touched his head soothing him. She could feel the pain travel through her back as the warm liquid flowed down her neck but didn't move letting him take as much as he wanted.

"I hope this helps, you will explain things when you feel better "she muttered slowly getting weak.
