Chapter 2.3

Christina doesn't say tell us the list so everyone is bringing anything they see to see if it is included in the list. She made it into a game where the one who finds the most items can ask her for a favor related to school. They probably don't want to do homework so they're doing their best to look for the items.

I look around and under the benches to see if I can find any items. Since I failed, I sit down to take a breather.

I observe the others as they scurry around the floor. Lucas is helping Christina check the list, some guys started playing tag, and some also rested.

Chelsea, however, is back to when I met her in the room. She's fidgeting her hands and her eyes are shaking and wavering. I sigh before standing up to go to her.

"Hey Chels-"

"AAAAAH!"

She drops to the ground with her hands covering her ears. My eyes widen in shock but I immediately go to her and tell her that, "Chelsea, it's me, Selena."

I touch her arms and they were rock hard. She flicks off her hand and starts shaking on the ground. I hug her and caress her back to comfort her as I look around and see the others look our way.

"May we excuse ourselves?"

"You may," replied Christina.

I help Chelsea up and brought her outside for a breather.

"Chelsea, are you alright? What happened?"

"I-I'm sorry, I overreacted, it's nothing. I'm fine I was- I was just...."

I sigh and tell her, "It's okay if you can't tell me yet."

"I told you I don't have a problem! Don't talk to me like I'm lying. I'm not lying okay?" She storms off to the side.

Sigh, seriously. Seems like that guy's been bothering her for a while now. The way he looked at her was really, how should I say this, full of an emotion I can't pinpoint. Well then, I guess I should I keep on her?

I dust myself off and head to wear Chelsea ran off. She couldn't have ran far off.

I walk for a long time until I got thirsty. I checked the time and it was already 1:43pm. Only 17 minutes left until our next location. But where is Chelsea?

"Chelsea! Where are you?"

There was no answer. Weird, she only ran off a while ago. How did she disappear?

I check the nearby rooms to see if she is there but it was oddly very quiet.

Darn, I can't come back without her. I don't even have an excuse. What will the rest think of me?

Think, Selena, think. It is best to tell them so that they'll be informed and in case they know where she could've gone to. Yeah, that's right.

I go back to where I came from when I hear a rustle nearby. This part of the school has a tree every meter in the walkway. When I don't hear it again, I proceed to my location and opened the gym door.

"Selena! Where have you been? It's almost 2pm!" Lucas checks up on me. "Where's Chelsea? Why isn't she with you?"

"Oh that um, she ran off and when I tried to catch up on her, she disappeared without a trace."

Everyone stops what they were doing and looks at me in absolute horror.

"You did what?" Lucas grabs my collar and looks at me angrily. "Why did you leave her alone?"

"Woah woah bro easy, it's a girl."

Lucas continues to look at me with wrath in his eyes. I look to Christina and she looks... disappointed.

"I told you I ran after her. It's just she disappeared into thin air!"

"Are you sure you checked every room?" I nod in response and he leaves, grabbing his hair in panic.

"You messed up big time, Selena," one of our teammates say.
