"Lucas!"
"Sammy!"
It seems as though another group is headed to the same direction as us. The others seems to friends with them so they crowd and chat, leaving Christina to lead the group.
Since the gym is a separate building, we walked on a waiting shed type of walkway with the benches and trash cans on the side and all.
In the distance, I spot an open field which is probably the yard. That's where the other group is most likely going to.
"No Lucas!" someone shouted.
I turn around to look at what is going on. I see a guy that doesn't seem to be from our group on the floor with his hand reaching for Lucas who was standing up with tears in his eyes.
"I'm sorry, but we have to part. I can't do this anymore." Lucas sniffs and rubs his eyes before going to us.
"No! Lucas please, we can work this out!"
"No Samuel. Please, I need some space."
Then, Lucas runs so dramatically to us, leaving Samuel weeping on the ground. I seriously don't understand what is happening, but they're probably roleplaying and stuff.
Lucas runs to Christina but I hear her facepalming herself and shaking her head in disbelief. They seem to argue for a bit, leaving Lucas pouting his lips and sulking like a child.
He turns back and spots us in the back following them. He smiles a bit before looking at Christina and head to us.
"Hi! Selena right?"
"Yeah," I reply. I look over to Chelsea and see her still prancing around. I bring back my attention to Lucas who was also looking at where Chelsea is looking. Curious, I follow their eyes but I don't see nor feel anything.
"Hi Chelsea!"
She seems to have gotten back to her senses when Lucas greeted her.
"H-hi, I'm sorry for acting weirdly. What brings you here?" Chelsea asks him.
"Oh it's nothing, I'm here for the new girl. She's interesting, isn't she?"
I frown. Chelsea looks at me but I contest with her eyes so she looks away.
"Don't you want to know more about her?"
Lucas keeps asking Chelsea as if I'm not there. Interestingly, all these questions made Chelsea calm just a bit. But I kind of have a bad feeling about this.
"Hey, stop it. Let's focus on the task at hand. We can get to know each other better tomorrow," I ask Lucas.
After thinking for some time, he replied with "Okay, bet." Thankfully, he accepted that because I haven't prepared anything yet.
"We're here." I look ahead when I heard Christina's voice. Looks like we arrived at our destination. I swear it took so long.
"Someone needs me. Bye for now!" I wave my hand at Lucas who was going to Christina.
When we entered the gym, it was pretty dark but the lights are being turned on slowly one by one.
Once my eyes finish adjusting, I can see the courts, chairs, and sports equipments. There's stuff scattered on the floor and a desk in the middle of the room.
We scoot over, each trying to read what the paper on the desk was saying.
Christina shushes everyone and starts reading the paper out loud.
"Greetings! Welcome to the gym. As you can see, the gym is very messy and because of that, we can't find the things we're looking for. Can you bring them to us?"
"Is this like a Bring Me game?" A teammate asks.
"Yeah probably," I reply.
"And guys, the clue for the final location is 4," Christina finishes.
"What is 4 related to anything? Is it a date?" Whispers begin to spread amongst the team. Christina clears her throat and says, "We have an hour to look for 20 objects. So, are you all ready?"
"Yes yes yes!"
