Cheska didn’t lean back. She stared back as if she doesn’t find Alexandra’s presence intimidating.
Well, she looks like one. She looks really intimidating. She felt it right after she opened the door but she only proved it as soon as she met her eyes closely.
However, she has no time to be intimated by it. She prioritized first observing her familiar eyes.
Why do Alexandra’s eyes seem familiar to her?
“Will you come and meet me at the cafeteria? I need to tell you something important.”
“Why would I do that?”
She scoffed, smile remained on her lips. That’s not a surprising answer.
Thanks to Lorenzo and his friends enlightening her a little bit about Cheska. They informed her how she’s not easy to deal with.
But she’ll prove them wrong later. She’ll prove to them that Cheska will eventually turn into her playmate. No one has ever escaped from her playground.
No one. All of them ended up being her playmate. She’ll prove to all of them that she will eventually turn her into one.
“You’ll know once you’re there,” she went beside her ears and looked at Lorenzo who’s brows are furrowed. “I’ll be expecting you there…alright?”
Cheska didn’t speak until Alexandra left. Everyone is silent. No one dared to speak while she’s still inside the room. She just left when she remembered something.
She stepped back, looking back inside the classroom. “Who are you, pretty girl?”
She’s asking the only girl who answered her question. She feels like she has to ask for her name since she’s the only one who answered her and saved her from being humiliated in front of them.
If her senses are right, that girl hates Cheska too.
“Julie,” she answered. “Julie Jimenez.”
“I see…then, I’ll remember you Julie!” she winked and waved her hand to her. They’re like close friends with a long bond from how she acted. Everyone is surprised.
Being friendly is just out of Alexandra's character. Well, she seems friendly but there’s more to it. She’s a great actress.
At first, she looks nice as if she’s just being friendly like a normal person.
But the next thing her victims knew, they’re already playing and dancing stupidly at the palm of her hands. They’ll, later on, realize they’re stuck inside her playground and it’s too hard, too impossible to run away.
And everyone at the university knows that. Lorenzo might be the highest-ranking mafia student there, their fear towards Alexandra is greater. She’s not afraid to break the laws.
Just like what she did earlier. It’s another proof that she doesn’t care about the university’s rules. If she wants to play, she’ll play on her playground.
The university itself is her playground.
When their teacher left, some of the concerned classmates went to Cheska. She immediately received random advice but all of those are saying that she must not go to the cafeteria.
She knows that. She’s not that stupid to follow a stranger’s orders.
It’s just like how some evil strangers offer delicious ice creams to innocent children so they would be able to kidnap them without wasting a sweat.
It’s just a simple lesson from every mother to their children. If a stranger asked you to do something strange, don’t do it.
“That’s why you didn’t tell her where my friend is…” Brittany said while nodding. Even she was confused about how no one gave Alexandra an answer. Expect for one.
“There’s a big possibility she’s Alexandra’s chosen playmate for this year! But still! Someone answered her!” one girl looked at the girl sitting in front with irritation written all over her face. “I still don’t know what has gotten to her mind and she sold you out! We’re classmates here! We’re all the same people from the Outside World!”
Julie rolled her eyes. She’s not that stupid to not realize that those words are for her. After all, she’s the only one who answered Alexandra. “Even if I did not do that, she’ll still find a way to get the answer she wants. As if you still don’t know her?”
“Just admit it. You still hate Cheska that’s why you did that. Stop making excuses.”
“Oh?” her brow arched and stood up. She wasn’t supposed to do that but she sensed that the girl wants to pick a fight with her. “What will you do if that’s my reason? What if I really want her to suffer from Alexandra? What will you do?”
The girl felt so little in front of Julie. She towered her making her look like a puppy who was barking stupidly at someone bigger than her. “T—that’s just what you are! You still haven’t changed. You always want someone more likable than you to suffer!”
That’s what Julie finds so offensive. That girl talked as if she knows everything about her. She raised her hands and was about to slap the girl when someone grabbed her wrist.
That was out of nowhere and no one’s expecting to abrupt that slap. Especially from someone who did it.
She’s the quietest classmate in their class.
And on top of that, she’s a new student.
Sophia pushed the bridge of her eyeglass. “Bullying is strictly prohibited in this university.”
“Let go of me!” she swayed her hands away. “Who do you think you are? You’re just new so learn your place in this class!”
Sophia only looked at her, the expression didn’t change at all. She didn’t say anything. She doesn’t need to.
Before she gets more pissed, Julie left and returned to her seat.
“T—thank you, Sophia…”
Still, she didn’t say anything. She just returned to her seat and proceeded from reading. She’s just sitting right in front of Cheska.
When the break time finally starts, Cheska remained in her seat—she’s not hungry either so there’s no reason to leave.
She always eats before leaving so every time the break time starts, she doesn’t usually go to the cafeteria not unless Brittany asked her to come with her.
Besides, she might see Alexandra along the way. It’s not that she is scared—she just doesn’t want to see her.
For some unknown reasons, she finds her presence irritating. Perhaps it’s because of the stories she heard about her? Maybe.
She’s walking to the locker room to get the books for their next class. Brittany isn’t with her. She didn’t ask her to come since it won’t take long—according to her. She’ll only buy something and she’ll eat it in their room.
Surprisingly, she’s hungry.
Brittany had to explain why before leaving. Apparently, she hasn’t eaten her breakfast.
Well, of course, she heard a not-so-long chastise from Cheska before letting her go.
Students are everywhere when she went out. Different groups talking about different things are all around the corners. Cheska didn’t bother to listen to any of it.
She’s looking at the insides of her locker when someone tugged the blazer of her uniform. When she closed the door, she saw one of her classmates gasping for air.
“You need to go to the cafeteria!”
Her brows furrowed. How confusing. “I thought I shouldn’t go there?”
“That’s before!” she finally looked up. “They have Brittany! She’s demanding your presence!"
