She grimaced. Not because of the pain but because of what she heard. She couldn’t believe someone still has a poor mindset like that. Who does she think she is? A god?
“This is always the weak ones’ destiny. They’re destined to suffer—”
Cheska cannot stand listening more to Alexandra’s not so inspiring speech. It’s giving her a headache. She might have not listened to her Math discussion earlier but Alexandra here is making her head hurt.
She can’t believe there’s another thing that can make her head hurt like this aside from Mathematics.
She strongly elbowed the two girls holding her arms. She purposely did that so they wouldn’t be able to stand for a minute or more.
Perhaps they didn’t expect her to think of that that’s why they didn’t bother to protect themselves from any possible attacks.
That’s what they get for underestimating her.
“I said give me a proper reason,” she reminded.
She wiped the side of her lips, there’s blood. What happened to her brother a few years ago—when she saw him being beaten by the bullies—flashed in her mind.
She’s at the same place as him now. How beautiful.
“You know what kind of people I hate the most?” she asked, still wiping the side of her lips, and sighed. When she opened her eyes, it’s almost as sharp as knives. “I hate people who think highly of themselves.”
She stepped forward. Alexandra had to step back to avoid closer contact. Cheska’s eyes and aura suddenly changed. It’s dark, it’s terrifying, it’s threatening.
“I hate people who see other people as weak,” she continues to step forward. “What makes you different from us huh? You’ll still die if I stab you in your heart just like us. So, what is it? Huh?”
“Don’t fucking go near me!”
She tried to push her away but Cheska suddenly changed her speed. She was walking slowly but when Alexandra did that, she walked quickly and only stopped when Alexandra is already leaning against the table.
The students there had to leave to avoid any involvement in the fight.
She first rested her one hand at the table, not averting her stares from Alexandra. She next rested her other hand.
Now, she’s stuck in the middle of her arms. Imitating what she did earlier, she leaned closer looking closely into her blazing eyes. Unfortunately, Cheska is as hot as fire—her blazing eyes can’t make her burn.
“And I hate people who think they’re relevant when in fact…they’re just nothing to my eyes…”
She's perfectly copying what Lorenzo did to her on her first day, locking someone else between two arms making them unable to escape from her eyes.
Alexandra is breathing fast because of annoyance. She’s didn’t stop looking at Cheska vexingly. She wishes to kill her using her bare eyes. She hopes that’s possible. She hopes she can do it right now.
But she can’t. She can’t even go anywhere. Cheska locked her up, she can’t go anywhere.
Lorenzo and his company stopped at the doorway of the cafeteria.
Right there, they could see the situation. After they heard the commotion happening at the cafeteria, they quickly left their gazebo and ran to it.
They’re expecting to see Cheska being beaten up but that’s not what they’re seeing.
“Nice try trying to play with me, Alexandra…” she whispered, mouth beside her ear.
She stood up properly. That gives Alexandra relief. Cheska was suffocating, she was consuming all of the air that was supposed to be hers—she’s consuming all of it.
Thinking Alexandra is done now, Cheska walked away as if nothing has happened.
But Alexandra isn’t the type of person who will stop right there. She loves turning tables. She loves to have the last laugh just like what she did to Lorenzo yesterday.
She loves to have a comeback. She’s still going to prove to Lorenzo that Cheska is meant to be her playmate.
“Do you think you’ve proven something with that? You’re just putting yourself in danger!” she roared, enough for all the students at the cafeteria to hear it. “I’ll kill you! I’ll make you suffer! I’ll fucking show you where you truly belong—”
Cheska suddenly turned to her and kicked the table right in front of her. It was so strong that the impact on her body was so powerful and painful. It was so unexpected that she failed to dodge it and fell to the ground while groaning loudly.
All of their eyes widened in shock. No one has ever done that thing to Alexandra. Even her friends are surprised.
No one in their right minds would make Alexandra fall like that.
“She’s…mad…” Alex muttered.
That was fast. Those are the only words they could think of. They didn’t see it coming.
They only realized it when it’s already done, when Alexandra is already on the floor and groaning because of pain.
Cheska stood still before her. Her head is raised yet her eyes are looking down.
Lorenzo only watched silently, observing how she moves, observing how she announces her supremacy towards Alexandra.
Those moves…it’s the same as what he did back at the gazebo when he looked at her with full of superiority when his head is raised while looking down on her.
She's now doing the same thing to Alexandra.
Cheska looked at her impassively. She showed no pity.
It's almost the same as what he saw when she's looking at the guy whom she made fall to the ground that night.
The supremacy that her body is screaming feels so authentic. It's so real that they're now having goosebumps.
How can she look so powerful by simply standing on the ground and throwing impassive looks?
She almost looks like...
"A monarch..."
“I belong to where I stand,” Cheska said fiercely. “and I stand above you, Alexandra.”
