chapter twenty five meeting up with David

When they finally met at the cafe, David greeted her with a warm smile. He seemed genuinely happy to see her, and they quickly fell into easy conversation. They laughed, reminisced about old times, and talked about their respective lives since they last saw each other.

It was the day of the ball when Sefra was all domineering and gave him death glare through out as he danced with Kiara,and with that Kiara thought back as she lost herself in thought and suddenly snapped out of it when David tapped her.

You okay?,he asked and she nodded with a smile.

The kept on talking and as they were walking she couldn't help but notice how comfortable she was around David,it was their first time meeting alone after the ball and she didn't feel weird or any sort of nervousness.

Throughout the lunch, Kiara found herself genuinely enjoying David's company. He was charming, kind, and attentive, and she couldn't help but appreciate the effort he put into making her feel comfortable.

But her mind couldn't help but wander off and think about Sefra who was also charming and attentive but wasn't always around and how nervous she always felt around him.

As they said their goodbyes, David suggested they meet up again soon. He seemed hopeful, perhaps sensing that there was a chance for something more between them.

Kiara gave him a small smile, feeling grateful for his company and understanding nature. "I'd like that," she said sincerely.

As she walked away, she couldn't help but feel torn. Spending time with David had been enjoyable, and she knew he cared for her, but her heart still belonged to Sefra.

She walked aimlessly for a while before finally seeing a stray dog,it looked lost and she didn't know when she started to move closer to it.

The dog saw her and took small steps backwards,she stopped and the dog stopped also,she approached the dog gently and this time it came closer to her,she was about to rub the head of the dog when it suddenly but her,she kept out a squeal and the dog ran away.

Sh!t,she exclaimed as she held her hand now in a worse mood,she walked back home and sure enough Sefra wasn't around,she went straight to her room and covered the wound since she had no idea how to dress it,she then took her shower and changed into her night gown.

She had no appetite and went to sleep.

The flowers were in full bloom,and the breeze carried the floral fragrance with it.

But Delilah was unable to admire it's beauty,the scene seeming to suffocate her.

The lady's voice was cold and indifferent as she spoke to the man she introduced as Xavier.

What exactly happened to our original plan,she asked with an ashen face.

They moved into a new neighbourhood,am still trying to figure out where and how I can locate them,he said.

You are just useless,you can't do anything right..,I'll have to take this matter into my own hands,she said and walked away.

Delilah,you know any mess up can lead to our death and your parents,let's work together,he said as she stopped but didn't turn back to look at him.

I can take care of myself,she said after a long silence before finally walking away.

It was early in the morning and the bright light was affecting her sleep,she tried covering her eyes but it wasn't helping,soon a shadow blocked the light from penetrating into the room,she opened her eyes gently with a yawn and tried adjusting her eyes to the surrounding as it was blurry.

Who...,she murmured as she cleaned her eyes and looked closer as the figure moved closer and in leaned where she was laying,she jerked her head backwards and kept on staring at the figure,she soon saw clearly it was Sefra and he had a gentle smile on his face as he stared at her face.

Wh..what are you doing here?,she asked startled.

I came to see you,he said.

Why would you come to see me,she said and turned her head away from him trying to suppress the bitterness in her.

Because I missed you,he said and kissed her gently on her lips.

She was startled and looked up at him in surprise,then she blushed hard and tried to run but rolled out of the bed and fell hard on her butt.

Ouch..,she said as she opened her eyes and noticed that there was no one in the room except from her and her curtains were open.

Did she just have a kissing dream about Sefra,she thought as she stood up and rubbed her butt before going to take care if herself in the bathroom before she went down to eat breakfast.

On her way down the stairs she could see a familiar figure in the kitchen cooking breakfast,he had an apron on and was cracking an egg,she went closer to get a clearer look at him,she was lost as she stared at him.

How did he get this handsome,she thought as she bit down on her lower lip.

What are you looking at?, someone said startling her.

What,she said and moved backwards.

You're even drooling,he said and she wiped off imaginary drool from her face,she realized she was tricked and glared at him while he smirk and continued cooking.

What can I help you with?,she asked as she full entered the kitchen and watched him turn the egg.

Just stay where I can see you,he said.

But I want to do something,she said and walked over to see vegetables that were not chopped,she wanted to take the knife and chop it when he stopped her.

What now?,she asked with a raised brow.

I don't want you to do anything,just stand where I can see you and look pretty,he said and her movement quietened as she was speechless.
