Two Meets Again

Once the two arrived at the restaurant, they were welcomed warmly as the reception already recognized Liu Liwei as the owner of Jade Restaurant already told them that if they see Liu Liwei to give him the best reception and let him skip formalities and have the best they could offer to him.

The owner of the restaurant was Liu Liwei's best friend and brother in law Song Weimin. However, they are now only best friends as Liu Liwei's wife, Song Meili, had already passed away due to an illness. Liwei and Song Meili have a son, Liu Zihao, who is Mo Xing's best friend as well as a neurologist. Song Meili passed away when Liu Zihao was 10 years old and now he has just turned 29, and 19 years have passed since his mother passed away but Liu Liwei never remarried for he had always loved Song Meili and just could not bring himself to remarry.

Although Liu Liwei and Song Weimin were best friends, Song Weimin and Mo Xing's father, Mo Rong were at most acquaintances as they did where not in the same field nor did they have much of a reason to see each other besides when Liu Liwei held meetups, parties, etc. All were busy people in their prime thus did not meet much but after Mo Xing and Liu Zihao became friends Mo Xing treats Song Weimin like a distant relative although they are not too close either because of Mo Xing's busy schedule.

"Welcome Mr. Liu and your guest, Mr. Song already told us to arrange the best for you when you come." the receptionist said with a big smile.

"Thank you." Liwei said in his cold and stern face and voice while Mo Xing just nodded with her usual expressionless face that almost seemed cold.

When it is just the two of them, they act like a shameless uncle and a little girl respectively but in public they donned back their usual self.

'Wow both have such a cold aura coming from them, I wonder who they are' the receptionist thought but on the outside she still smiled and led them to the private room on the fifth floor of the restaurant. Since the restaurant was newly open, there were only six floors, with the sixth floor for the executives of the restaurant and Song Weimin's office there, though this restaurant was well known internationally and this was the new chain in Beijing.

after the death of Song Meili, he liked to keep himself busy so after Liu Zihao grew up and became an adult, he started working on his chain of restaurants and malls abroad. His main income came from both the malls and restaurants but he only started in the food industry after Zihao started his medical school training. After all, although they were only uncle and nephew, Song Weimin promised his sister and himself he would take care of Zihao in the place of his sister so he stayed in China working on his mall chains in Asia before leaving to expand abroad after Zihao went to medical school.

Liu Liwei and Mo Xing were then guided to the fifth floor that is reserved for close family and friends of Song Weimin as he decided to keep the Jade Restaurant in Beijing more exclusive and reserved the fifth floor for close family and friends as Beijing is where most of them are located now. On the fifth floor was also a lounge for those who want to chat and rest since it is Song Weimin's close family and friends, naturally all that can go up to the fifth floor somewhat knew each other at least to the acquaintance level.

On very rare occasions Song Weimin brings in a close business partner and dines on the fifth floor since the fifth floor has the best facilities so he would bring his important and close business partner to the restaurant to discuss business. These occasions happened very few times considering the restaurant has only been open for a couple of months.

The both of them arrived in a private room reserved for them, this room is for the closest family members, friends, and business partners of Song Weimin. The people who are allowed to use this room are very limited, but it is also the best room in the whole restaurant with floor to ceiling windows with the view of the city and the largest room. It has its own mini bar, a large table centered with some sofas near the floor to ceiling windows.

They sat down and Liu Liwei, already here, ordered using the Ipad placed on the table.

2 hour later, after eating and chatting -

Mo Xing and Liu Liwei stood up and left the private room, arriving at the lobby of the restaurant when they bumped into 'Mr. Xi', the man who was with Liu Liwei and Bai Qiqiang the president of Beijing University.

"Oh hello Longwei, how are you?" Liu Liwei asked with a little surprised in his voice but it quickly went away as if it was an illusion while he donned his normal stern, cold face.

"Hello Mr. Liu" Xi Longwei said with an expressionless face. In this aspect, he and Mo Xing had something in common along with their good looks.

"Ah why are you so formal with me? When you and those boys were in the University, you guys were so popular that I had to come in to stop those fangirls and even the boys who admired your guys to be regulated! Sigh, those days were crazy." Liu Liwei shook his head recalling what happened a few years back.

"Ah sorry, it is a habit Uncle Liu" Xi Longwei said

Xi Longwei, Wang Yang, Noah Cheng, and Qin Mingyu were an iconic and famous friend group in university. They never let others in their friend group and everyone either envied or admired them. All were very excellent in their own fields and were all handsome. They got close with Liu Liwei as before they would need to discuss with him because their admirers were getting out of hand. Later on, they naturally got closer to them to call each other informally since Liu Liwei had connections with their families. Prior to becoming the board chair, Liu Liwei was an agent in the government and throughout the years had made many connections.
