Meeting my savior

A couple years past, Sora is now 5 years old.

Sora POV

"Bam! Bam!"

The volleyball that I hit created that sound as I spiked and bumped the ball against the wall on the side of the house. Solely focusing on the ball and hitting it accurately. "A little lower" I say to myself following my words I bend my knees more and dig the ball from the spike.

"Sora!! Lunch is ready!!" I hear my mom yell from inside the house. I catch the ball and place it down on the side as I run inside. "Yes mom!!" I yell back as I take off my shoes and enter.

"Sora wash your hands before you sit down and eat okay?" my mom glances at me as I walk towards her. I sigh slightly "Yes mom." I say and make my way to the sink and stand on the stool.

As I wash my hands she places down the plates and sets the table for us to eat. Soon enough I finish washing my hands and make my way to the table. Once I sit down I see a variety of sandwiches and juice at my spot. My eyes sparkle and my stomach rumbles.

My mom looks at me as she sits down and chuckles at me. I look up and tilt my head to the side. She smiles "We can start eating. Itadakimasu." she says and I smile back.

"Itadakimasu." I say and pick up a sandwich and start happily eating it. My mom does the same and stops after a while. She sets down her sandwich and looks at me. "Sora." she starts and I look up from eating and nod my head at her telling her that I'm listening.

She continues "I know that you like to practice out in the yard but I believe that you should go to the park sometimes you know? Make some friends. Get to know people. You can't just always have volleyball with you."

I nod my head in understanding. "Okay than Mom. Tomorrow I'll so head to the park that's by the hill and play over there. I'll bring the volleyball too." I tell her and she smiles and nods her head.

"Of course your volleyball too." she says and sighs a little bit. I finish up my sandwich and drink my juice.

I get down from the chair and make my way back out to the yard again saying "Mom, I'm going to practice a bit more by myself before dad comes home. I'll be in the yard!"

With that I hear a "Okay." from inside and grab my volleyball continuing my practice. As I do so I'm left to my thoughts.

'I didn't realize that I was just focused on volleyball...Ah who am I kidding...Literally everyday I'm like volleyball, volleyball, train, practice, volleyball, volleyball, videos of volleyball, athletes, train, practice, VOLLEYBALL.'

I sigh out as I list all the things that I've been doing ever since I was able to move and do something. Ever since I found out that I can play volleyball again, with this new life, new legs, new chances. I have been ecstatic and happy to play and use all my time playing volleyball.

As I bump the volleyball up, I sigh out yet again. "I was too caught up. I really need to make some friends and get myself out there or else I won't be able to make friends in school." I say to myself and catch the ball as I ruffle my hair a bit.

~Time Skip~ The next day

"Mom! I'll be heading to the park now!!" I say as I grab my bag and volleyball while I tap my shoes.

"Okay be safe! Be back in a couple hours okay!" my mom yells back at me from the kitchen trying to finish up some chores. I shout back an okay and leave.

The walk to the park that was located at the bottom of the hill was about a 15 minute walk. Where we lived there was a steep hill that lead up to more houses and living areas down the hill was the other side of town.

Soon enough the park came into sight and I saw many kids my age and some younger and some a little older. As I came into the park I looked for an empty spot where an area of a wall was open. Once I saw that spot I walked over to it.

As I walked to that spot I looked around to see the other children in the area. I glanced around and stopped at a strange color hair boy...His hair was so bright and stood out among the other children. "Wow his hair is so bright. It's orange...." I whispered to myself. I continued to watch this boy, he seemed happy and jumped around in his spot as he waited for the other children to pick him for the game that they were playing.

I smiled slightly. 'His hair and his attitude seem just like that boy from that anime I watched. I owe it to that anime...' I giggled slightly at the memory that I was brought out of my state and began to change back to myself after listening to music and watching that anime.

'Hinata Shoyo' I thought of that boy from that anime that shone and flew higher than anyone else.

As I made my way to the wall and put down my bag against it as I began to bump the ball up and down. I continued this for a while in my spot and decided to put the wall in use and spike the wall and bump it. This went on for a while until I switched to setting the ball against the wall.

As I did this my thoughts wandered to various things such as volleyball techniques that I need to learn and go over, Volleyball stuff that I learned in my previous life, and making friends...

I sighed to myself. 'The whole reason I am here is to make friends. I thought this would be easy. I would think if I waited long enough than someone would come up to me.....I guess-' before I could finish my thoughts I was interrupted which made me hit the ball to high and hit my head.

"Hey!" This person said to me making me hit my head from the falling volleyball.

"Ouch." I said as I rubbed my head and looked at the person who came up to me. As I did so my eyes widened. 'Wow! He really looks like that anime boy! He's so adorable looking too!' I thought to myself and smiled at the boy. This was the boy that I saw earlier which had bright orange hair that stood out, a bright smile, and he was small. Well a couple inches shorter than me. I assume that he may be younger than me?

In return the boy smiled brightly and began "Are you new here? I haven't seen you around before?" he asked me. I shook my head no.

"Um. I lived here for a while. It's just that it's my first time coming to the park today." I told the boy. For which he shone and smiled brightly again. He seemed to almost sparkle in delight as he looked at me and saw the volleyball that I picked up.

"Well, I saw you playing with that ball for a while and got curious who you were. So nice to meet you! I'm Hinata Shoyo!!" he sparkled as he made his introduction to me. For which I smiled back and did my introduction to "Hi Hinata-kun! I'm Akiyama Sora, nice to meet you too!"

He bounced in his spot as he smiled at me.

'Wait.....' I did a double take. 'Did he just say Hinata Shoyo????? Wait.......Is his hair really orange? Did I just? Am I? Am I still dead and is this just a dream???' I tell myself, going through an inner conflict.

He seemed to notice this and stop bouncing around me. "Akiyama-san is something wrong?" he said with his face full of worry. To which he snapped me out of me daze. I looked at him up and down and stared at his face for a while. Too much that he seemed to get uncomfortable under my gaze. "Akiyama-san????"

"You?!" I say and question him and he replies with "Me?!" with his eyes wide. I nod my head and step closer to him. "You said that you're Hinata Shoyo correct?" I ask him and he nods quickly.

My eyes widen and I realize that I'm scaring the poor boy. I bow quickly "I'm sorry Hinata-kun! That was very rude of me." I say as he gets startled by my actions for which he shakes his head and waves his hands in front of him dismissing it.

"No its okay Akiyama-san!" he says quickly. I stand up straight and smile brightly at him. "Thank you Hinata-kun!" I say in return.

Hinata smiles brightly at me and points at my volleyball in my hand. "What's that you got there?" he asks excitedly as he bounces around me.

This action causes me to giggle. "Ah, this is a volleyball." I tell him and his eyes sparkle a little bit. "Wow~ I've seen a bouncy ball and a basketball. Not that one!" he tells me excitedly causing me to giggle at the cuteness.

"Hmm. Do you want to play with me? I can teach you." I tell him as I give him a closed eye smile. For which he nods his head eagerly. "Yes!!" he exclaims.

I nod my head and grab his hands and arms to show him the form.

I smile as I'm doing this. 'Maybe it was a good idea to come after all. Hinata Shoyo....A teen boy from that anime who helped me....My what a thing. Fate went and decided to place me in this world. The place which helped me out of the darkness. How funny.' I thought to myself.
