Another Day

Sora POV

"Mom! I'm going to the park!!" I say excitedly as I grab my volleyball and my bag. She looks at me and smiles. "Okay have fun! Be back in a couple of hours. Be safe!" my mom tells me as I put on my shoes.

"Will do!" I say with a smile on my face as I rush out of the house jogging towards the park.

As I did so my mother smiled happily as she did house work. "My My. Looks like she's enjoying her new friend at the park. How cute!" she says.

As I near the park I see my new friend waiting at the entrance. I call out his name and wave my free hand. "Sho-kun!!" I yell out to him grabbing his attention. He looks up from the ground and smiles brightly at me.

Soon after his bright smile he runs up to me and hugs me. "So-chan!!" he says and lets go of me while bouncing around. I giggle at him and pet his head. "What do you want to do today?" I ask the boy as I grab his hand and walk into the playground.

Some other kids are already there and playing in the sand while others are on the slides. I turn around to see my friend in thought. 'His face...is just too cute!' I think to myself as he puffs out his cheeks.

"Hmm..." he says as he thinks and looks around the playground. A couple seconds later his eyes sparkle. "Ne ne So-chan! Let's play on the swings today and then we can play volleyball later!" he says to me.

I smile back at him and place my bag and ball down near the swings. "Okay!" I smile at him. As we got on the swings, we got higher and higher making me smile and look up at the sky.

Today was bright and sunny with some clouds above. Accompanied by a soft breeze that cooled the air down. 'It's been a while since I played on the swings and in a playground....Though I've been playing and coming here ever since I met Sho-kun. But in my last life, I was already almost done with college and didn't play in the park ever since I was a child....It's nice being one again.' I think to myself.

As I was lost in my thoughts I continued to smile at the sky as Shoyo looked at me and looked at the sky as well. "Ne ne! So-chan!!" he says making me looks at him and tilt my head. "Hmm?" I say back.

"Your 5 right?" he asks me out of no where. I nod my head "Yes I am. Why??" I ask him and he looks back at the sky as we continue to swing. "Your going to start school soon aren't you? Summer is almost over and you have to go to school. While I'm still 4 and I don't start school till another year and you won't be here!" he tells me while puffing his cheeks and his eyes get teary.

He stops swinging and wipes his eyes making my eyes widen and my lips curl up into a smile. I hop off the swing and make my way to him and pat his head. "Sho-kun. Don't cry. I'll still come to the park and play with you! It'll just be less often like on weekends and maybe after school. So don't worry and it'll just be a year, then you'll be able to see me in school!" I tell him and rub his head while lifting my shirt to wipe his tears.

He stops crying a bit and looks up at me with his watery eyes while pursing his lips "R-really?! Y-You'll still c-come and play with me?" he asks me while taking my other hand that wasn't patting his head. I smile brightly at him and nod my head. "Yes of course!" I say to him while he gripped onto my hand.

He wiped his tears and smiled brightly at me. "Thanks So-chan!!" he exclaims while dragging me to my stuff and grabbing my ball. "Teach me some more moves!" he says while jumping up and down with the ball in his hands. I nod my head and smile at him.

Time Skip (1 Year)

Keeping that promise, I continued to go to the park after school when I could to play and see Shoyo-kun.

However I wouldn't need to go to the park so often anymore since Shoyo was entering school with me this year. I was now 6 years old and Shoyo was 5.

I was still pretty shocked to know that I now live in an anime world where it focuses on volleyball. My sport, the anime which saved me which has given me another chance. Though it's still a bit wacky knowing that I have a brain span and knowledge when I was an adult.

But! Shoyo starts school today. Which I roll out of bed and groggily rub my eyes as I walk to the bathroom down the hall. After doing my business in the bathroom I headed down to the kitchen to see my father drinking coffee and reading the newspaper as mom made breakfast.

A/N: (I know. How typical and cliche.)

"Good morning.." I said as I sat down at the table while drinking some milk. "Morning Sora." My parents said and my father set down the newspaper and looked at me. "Ready for another year of school? You excited?" he asked while smiling at me.

I give him a small smile and nod my head "Hmmm! Sho-kun is starting school today, so I'll be able to see him and practice with him during break!" I said excitedly thinking of playing with Shoyo. Even though I have memories of being an adult and experiences from my past life. You tend to forget about that stuff and end up enjoying your time at the moment. Bringing me to turning back to the mind of a 6 year old girl.

My father laughed a bit and sipped his drink. "That's nice. I'm glad my daughter has a close friend, he might be a future in-law, considering how much you talk about him!" he joked and I puffed out my cheeks while my mom laughed as she set down breakfast on the table.

"Maybe~ Who knows~" mom joked as well while sitting down at the table. I looked at her and puffed my cheeks out again and started digging into my food. "Itadakimasu" I said and ate my food and soon finished and placed the dishes in the sink.

I ran back into my room to get dressed and ready for school. The outfit was a uniform for grade students (elementary) where it consisted of a skirt and a white shirt. I grabbed my school bag and went back down to kitchen to see mother washing the dishes and dad putting on his shoes.

"You ready?" he asked me making me nod my head. "Let's go!" he said as he grabbed his work bag and opened the door as I slipped on my shoes and walked out after him.

Normally children my age tend to walk to school by themselves however dad drops me off close to the school since it was on his way from work. So he would drop me off and it would take about 5ish minutes to get there.

I waved my hand at dad "Bye~" I said and he smiled and responded with "Have a good day at school! I'll see you later tonight." he said an drove off. I skipped happily the rest of the way to school thinking about how much more fun it will be now that Sho-kun is here.

As I made my way into school grounds, there was about 5 minutes left and I changed my shoes. I looked around and made my way around the school only to stop at a sight of bright orange hair.

I made my way to the boy who has this orange hair, as I got closer I could hear sniffles and made my way to him. "Sho-kun??" I say not sure if there might be another orange headed boy that attends here.

The boy looked up at me with tears falling and snot almost coming out of his nose. "S-sora-chan!!" he said as he got up from his position and pulled me in a hug with his head burring into my shirt.

Surprised, I choked out "Sho-kun?! What's wrong? Why're you crying?" I asked the younger boy pulling him away to get a look at him while digging in my bag to find tissue. " He wiped his eyes and sniffed again. "I got here and I put my stuff down in the class. B-but I had to use the restroom and I got lost. So I don't know where the class is anymore!" he told me while he continued to rub the tears that are falling.

I finally pulled out some tissues and handed his one to blow his nose while I wiped his tears. "Sho-kun. It's okay. I'll help you find your class. It will start in a couple minutes so let's go find it okay?" I tell him while I grab his hand and start walking down the hall. He nods his head in return. "Mhm!" he says.
