93 Two little minions

While Iiana was busy in the nightmarish world, her two little minions aka daughters was living their life full of vigor and their own adventures. They found themselves in a complete foreign and mystique place. A strange place where its humanely impossible for any normal person to reach or reside ; a floating piece of land ON THE SKY. The whole place was completely owned and housed the SHOA TRIBE, it seems. All of the SHOA's houses and dressing scream traditional Japanese style to the bone. Its like they had travel back in time when during the Edo time. How did they know?

How can they not when their mother insist them watching with her all those anime and explaining them this and that?

"Would be cool if we can see some samurai." whispered Miya to Ailee, while tugging the lapel of her clothes. Ailee grinned and nodded. As far as their eyes could see, it none of them had a bald or half bald hairstyle. They all had the over grown hair, though unkempt, they definitely had a lot of hair growing on top of their head. Maybe none of them had ever think of getting a bald head?

"Hey, look! Some of them are wearing bamboo hats. Maybe if we blow them a little bit with wind, we can see some bald head.." giggles Miya. Her mischievous side had started to rear its ugly head out. Miya raised her little index finger and big gush of wind strike on a straight line, toward those people who had bamboo hat on top of their heads. Those people had this panic look on their face and they were holding their hat like their life depended on it.

It was then an old man with black hakama landed between Ailee and Miya. He flicked his paper hand fan and stopped the gush of wind. Ailee and Miya eye's brightened and yelled,

"Grandpa Sei!"

"Ailee and Miya... Welcome to Shoa Tribe. it seems you're bored waiting for me and decided to play with the spirit of the wind."

Miya scratched her head and smile shyly. "Oppsie.. Sorry about that Grandpa.. we're just.. kinda want to see if any of them had a bald head." Grandpa Sei white bushy left eyebrow raised a little bit and stare at her closely.

"Why is it that you want to see that?"

"Because.. we never saw one without hair."

Grandpa Sei laughed out loud and shook his head. He pat their heads couple of time, and look at the people.

"I will tell you a story about that. But before that, we have to apologize to them first." said Grandpa Sei before bowing toward the people earlier. Miya and Ailee look at each other, noticing their cue. Their mother always said,

'When you enter a herd of lamb, you bleat. When you enter the den of lion, you roar.' It means that one always have to be wise and be flexible according to situation and places. Only then you can choose how live the way you want ; either to shine bright or to be unseen like a shadow in the night time. Ailee and Miya, smart as they are followed Grandpa Sei, and bow toward them. Grandpa Sei smile and pat their back, to urge them to walk.

"One must always be humble. Humility is one of the main teaching in Shoa Tribe."

"But it doesn't seems like Aunt-" Ailee shush Miya as she knew what her little sister was about to say but Grandpa Sei who had lived so long had catch on and know what she meant by that.

"She had bitterness that cloud her judgment where Kuro is concerned." they walk to a large building that look quite old and historic. Definitely with Edo touch. It was huge and you would need to stack 30 tall men on top of each other just to reach the top part of the humongous door. Ailee wondered why would they need a door too big when its just a door.

Grandpa Sei smiled as if he knows what playing in their mind and he lift his right arm and wave it gently. something flash on the surface of the door. The big double doors open slowly, and oddly silently.

"Big door comes in handy. You never know when someone or something might need to fly in and bring us news-" as if its on cue, a crane like bird with a weird looking bamboo hat came like a jet plane, crashing into the building. It landed on its tummy. Ailee and Miya eyes grown bigger as they watch the crane start to brush itself and righted it's bamboo hat. it stump its three clawed leg on the floor before, folding its wings, while tapping its leg on the floor. Its almost as if it couldn't be bothered waiting for something or maybe someone...

"you dunking, stupid white bird! Where on heaven realm would you ever heard that a spirit guardian would leave their master behind and fly away? Huh?" a guy complained loudly, he was zipping through door, before landing gracefully in front of the bird. He was wearing rather bright cyan robe with white hair ties.

"Oh shut it. you can fly on your own."

"Is this because I took another Spirit guardian?"

"Don't kid yourself."

"You've being a bastard since i took another spirit guardian-"

The white bird that look like a crane was surrounded by mist before slowly changing into human form. He was a tall handsome guy, wearing black and white robe, with a bamboo hat.

"Am not!!"

"What? are they like in gay relationship?" whispered Miya to Ailee."

both of the men look at Miya and shouted in sync. "We are not!" Miya rolled her eyes and raised both of her arms.

"Sheesh. No need to be so sensitive. Both of you grown up man" Ailee sighs and pushed Miya behind her. Between two of them, she knows Miya would be the honest & sensitive one, while she, herself could talk a lot and be stubborn like a bull. Their mother had raised them to be a pair of sisters that would always back each other and be the other person's strength where the other lacks.

'Besides me, and if I died, you only have each other of the same blood. Family never abandoned their own, no matter how ugly the situation is.' And things could get ugly real fast, if these two grown men in front of them take it to their heart what Miya had said.

Grandpa Sei cleared his throat. "What brings you here?"

"Oh, Right!" The guy wearing cyan blue robe took out something from the lapel of his robe's arm. It look like an old scroll. The scroll float from his palm and levitate in front of Grandpa Sei. Grandpa Sei grab the scroll and open it slowly. His face remained unchanged even after rolling back the scroll. But Miya as always, was hypersensitive compared to others. She notice the small movement of his fingers as it tightened under the long lapel of his. She also notice that bunched up muscle behind his back and that he is holding his breath as if to hold his anger or frustration in. Few older men around their sixties came in tandem, upon seeing the scroll on Grandpa Sei's hand with his serious face their face grown grim.

"It's official isn't it? they declared war to Shoa tribes?" Asked one of the old man. Grandpa Sei nodded.

"Thank you for bringing this news to us. We are indebt to your clan."

"Your clan has been helping us since the founding of our clan. We will never abandoned our benefactor in time of their needs. Heixi Clan will fight along side with Shoa tribe."

Once again, Grandpa Sei bowed his head, followed by the three old man. They offered the cyan guy to rest and eat but they kindly rejected it as they need to prepare their people for the upcoming war.

"War?" Ailee whispered. Her eyes sparkled and this time it was Miya's turn to sigh. Battle nerd. Her older sister absolutely love things that involves with brawl or war. Especially when they played RPG game, she will be the one who will fly first into a fight to level up while Miya prefer, building her skills up by doing quests, crafting and collecting herbs. But that doesn't mean Miya would shy away from any fight when it involves her safety or those around her. Now that they are more accustomed with the world and their own skills, they would gladly use it to keep on surviving in this world.

"Yes, Sis. War."

"Then, shouldn't we get ready too?"

"Why should we? We're just kid?

"Let's not be the 'burdening-little -twerps' and become 'genius-little-twerps' instead?"

"Well.... we are genius in a way... and we're both little...and mischievous-" Miya raised each of her fingers counting up their characters, bad and good altogether.

Ailee exhaled in frustration. "What i mean is, we should get ready just in case they need extra help"

"You're just excited to get involve with war. you do know we can die don't you?"

"I know. Which is why i said just in case. it's not wrong to do a preparation, right?"

Miya rolled her eyes. She can read her older sister really well. She only sweeten her words with honey when it have bitter taste behind it.

"Before that, you are going to have to ask the person behind your back first cuz he just heard what you said."winked Miya. Ailee turned around and saw Grandpa Sei looking at her.

'Surely he's already old and couldn't hear what we just whispered earlier.' thought Ailee.

Grandpa Sei raised his eyebrow.

"It's a no." Ailee raised her finger and smile smoothly toward him.

"You sure you didn't hear it wrong, Grandpa?"

He chuckled.

"I may look old, Little one but i can hear 10 miles away perfectly fine" Ailee and Miya was dumbfounded and thought back the time when they had whispered couple of times around them.. wouldn't that means he had heard every single one of it? No
