Chapter 9 (Part 2)

Gohan returned to his family at Capsule Corporation. He made his way over to Diana, who was talking with Chi-Chi, Bulma, and 18.

"Look who's back," Bulma noticed Gohan enter the room.

"Hello everyone," Gohan greeted as he walked up to the table by Diana's side. "I'm actually here for Diana." Gohan noticed Diana was not wearing her Amazon outfit. She was dressed in casual clothes: a green top with a black long-sleeve jacket and blue jeans. Her hair was tied back into a ponytail with a few bangs hanging over her face. At least she had no reason to wear her fake glasses.

Bulma smirked as Chi-Chi nodded. "Honestly, you're more like your father than you realize, Gohan," she said. Gohan did the same thing his father always did: leave and train. At least he was only gone for a week.

"Isn't Dad here?" Gohan asked as Chi-Chi nodded. "Yes, but he is busy training that blonde woman, Karen."

"You needed me for something?" Diana asked as she looked at Gohan, who nodded. "Let's go out for the day. I haven't really shown you my home yet, even though we've been here for a short while now."

Diana's eyes lit up as she got up. "Excuse me, ladies," Diana excused herself as all the ladies present waved it off.

"It's fine. You two lovebirds go and enjoy your time," Chi-Chi explained as she made eye contact with Bulma, who winked as the two turned to leave.

"Gohan!" Bulma called out. The Saiyan god turned to look at her, and he caught a card.

"Here," she said, as Gohan gave the card a look. He noticed it was a black card. "Enjoy yourselves and don't do anything I wouldn't," she winked as Gohan flushed slightly. Diana just looked slightly embarrassed but hid her own mischievous smile.

"Is there anything you wouldn't do?" 18 asked with a raised eyebrow, making Bulma choke on her drink as Chi-Chi quickly answered.

"Don't listen to Bulma and 18. Just go and have some alone time," she cleared her throat.

Gohan and Diana left, but Gohan was a little embarrassed by his family's antics. "I can see why you missed them so dearly," Diana cut in as she held his hand.

"Yeah..." Gohan answered as he chuckled.

"So, is there any special occasion?" Diana asked. She was curious; wasn't Gohan supposed to be training?

"Yes, we are going on a date," Gohan revealed as he pulled her closer and kissed her forehead. He had been planning this since before he entered the time chamber, but he couldn't put off his training for so long, he had been waiting for seven years for this date, he really missed Diana, during his time in the chamber he had a goal, he would get so strong that he would never need to leave her and his family for so long ever again.

Diana was a bit surprised but just nodded, she wouldn't argue, she loved being in his arms any. "Do you have anything in mind?" she asked as Gohan nodded and blushed slightly.

"Since your home is an island, that gave me an idea." Gohan explained as they flew towards a large mall in West City.

"Let's grab some stuff to eat and a blanket," Gohan explained. As they entered the mall, they drew attention to themselves. Diana was a tall woman built like a model, and Gohan had his father's genes, so most women found him very cute. But a quick comparison between them and Diana left them feeling hopeless.

They spent about thirty minutes going around sightseeing and buying everything they needed before leaving the city and flying over the ocean. Finding an empty island in the middle of the ocean, they landed.

"I don't sense anything here, so we should be fine," Gohan explained as she nodded and took off her shoes, walking through the sand and hearing the ocean calmly pulling back and forth. Looking up, she noticed the sun was already past noon.

"We have about two hours of daylight. What do you think?" she asked as he nodded.

"That's fine. I can sense people about fifteen kilometers east. If we need anything, we can go there," Gohan explained as he took out a blanket and tossed it over the sand. Thankfully, it wasn't very windy, so they didn't have to worry about sand blowing onto their blanket.

Gohan quickly pulled out a capsule purse and took out another capsule they bought. It was a grill with an LPG gas canister. Quickly connecting the two, he pulled out another capsule and opened another box, pulling out a pair of tongs and clicking them together.

"Prepare to taste the best meat1 of your life," Gohan bragged as he clicked another capsule, revealing a cooler. Opening it, he handed her a bottle. "I never knew you liked fruity beverages?" Gohan commented. They had carefully chosen the right drinks.

"Themyscira has many delectable fruits, so of course I'd enjoy fruits, which naturally includes drinks made from fruits," she explained as Gohan grabbed his drink. He remembered the first time he consumed alcohol.

"The first time I had alcohol, I hadn't realized the punch was spiked. I'm pretty sure it was at one of Bulma's parties," Gohan explained before taking out meat from the cooler. She raised an eyebrow before chuckling, how does one not realize their consuming alcohol, then again with the way Saiyans inhale food it makes sense, until she realized something.

"You didn't buy much meat. Are you certain you'll be filled?" she asked, her concern evident. She knew how Saiyans ate, and Gohan did eat through four weeks of food the moment he woke up in the watchtower. The small cooler would hardly be enough to feed him, let alone them both.

"That's not a problem. Before I came to pick you up, I had a senzu bean to heal up. It heals all physical injuries and fills you up for ten days, even if you're on the brink of death. But because I'm a Saiyan, that only fills me up for about a day. I can already feel myself getting a little hungry," Gohan explained. Diana nodded.

"That's amazing. Is that something accessible to everyone here?" she asked as Gohan shook his head.

"Not exactly. To gain access to these, you have to climb up a tower. Remember the lookout?" he asked as she nodded.

"Well, when my Father was a kid, he climbed the tower and made it to the top after a few days of no rest. There he found Master Korin, who eventually revealed it to him. But they can't be mass-produced because it is incredibly hard to grow without direct sunlight and the specific atmospheric conditions required for it to sprout."
