chapter 38:I Won't Give Up on Her!

After that day, that moment I realized that she wasn't meant to be mine but it didn't mean that I would stop trying, I had a crush on her since the first time we met and I can't seem to let this feeling get the best of me either.

Once I heard her saying that she will be leaving for good,I didn't like the idea one bit so I tried to pursue her not to go but she seemed sure about her decision.

But before I could say anything else someone pulled her inside a room and I eavesdrop to what was about to happen and I wasn't sure if I wanted to listen to their conversation.

But none of that happened, it seemed the opposite, I heard them kissing and my heart ached, I didn't know that 5hey were together, before I could walk away, they guy came out followed by lisa.

She wiped her lips and I didn't know how to react towards her so I left for class. Soon she joined us and sat in front of me.

As soon  as the class ended I walked out and left for gym, I did some workout and by the time I was done the school was over and I was about to leave when I spotted lisa entering a car and left.

I was so angry that I threw my bag on the ground, people looked at me whole walking away but I was too furious to care.

I entered my car and slammed the door hard, I started the engine when someone entered my car and it was none other than Ashely, she seemed to know something.

"What do you want this time?" I ask3d as I stopped the engine.

"Seems like you're angry now and you were willing to protect her against me earlier " she said as we looked at the Porsche that lisa was in driving away.

"You better stay away from her and my cousin if you know what good for you" I said warning her.

"I don't get it,why are you so obsessed with her when you can see clearly who she is with " she said looking at me.

"I don't remember asking you for advice so better get lost and I better not find out you hurt her in any way " I said as I opened the door and she got out and I quickly left.

As I was driving, I got a message on my phone, I opened it and there was a notification where students were invited to an event the next day.

I found it hard to believe when I saw who was hosting the event,I decided to go anyway and talk to Lisa. We barely had a full conversation before I could tell her how I  felt about her so I made myself believe that I might tell her how  I feel tomorrow.

I came home and found Nora in the living room watching tv, I sat next to her and joined her without altering a word as my mind went back to think about Lisa and how am going to tell her not to leave.

''Something on your mind ?you seem like you are lost somewhere?'' she asked as she snapped her fingers infant of my eyes.

I didn't even realise that she was talking to me the whole time.i didn't even know how to tell her what was on my mind but I was already lost myself so I just shook my head and smiled at her.

''Sorry my mind is everywhere I didn't even realise you talked to me"I said as I laid back on the sofa.

''I guess you're thinking about Lisa right?'' she asked as if she knew what I was thinking about.

"Wait...how? Oh!right,I forgot that that you read mind" I said as I seem to be losing focus on things especially now that l won't be seeing lisa probably forever.

"You have a crush on her right?!" She asked as she faced me.

"Yeah I do but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to have a chance with her anytime soon" I said as I remember her being with that guy.

"You mean her being with toby?" She asked.

"Toby? That's his name...wait you mean toby McGuire the multimillionaire?" I asked as I finally figured out who he is.

"Yeah that's his name and why do you look surprised? Everyone knows who he is?" She asked confused.

"I didn't know who he is until now and lisa is with him how?" I asked her.

"Well lisa's aunt is a well known interior designer and she's friends with toby's mom so I guess they were introduced to each other " she said as she shrugged her shoulders.

"So does that mean they are dating or not?" I asked as I hoped it would be fake rumour as I heard students whispering about it when they both went to an empty room.

"Why are you suddenly interested in them, I know you like lisa but why are so eager to know whether they are in relationship or not?" She asked me.

"I don't know, knowing the fact that they might be together will hurt me and it's best to know now rather than later" I said pouting.

"I really wish I could help you with this but I can't am sure they just friends and if it will make you feel better I'll ask her for you" she said as she stood up to leave.

"Really? You'll do that for me, thanks can you do it tomorrow since you're also invited right?" I asked as I saw an invitation card on the coffee table.

"Yeah I did, what if it doesn't go as you hope will you give up on her?" She asked sounding concerned.

"I...I don't know how I'll feel but one thing is for sure am not a quitter " I said as I smiled at her.

"I know that after all you're our appointed alpha but this time its about love and it's best if you don't pull your hopes up because I don't know whether your heart is in the right place or not " she said as she sat back.

"I understand perfectly that you're worried about how she will respond to your question but am ready to except her decision to whom she chooses" I reassured her.

Even though am not quite sure about her feelings for me, but I don't think I'll except her rejection either because am madly in love with her.

"You're not going to except defeat right, I just heard your thoughts and I don't think am ready to hear her response either am ju...just scared for you mike" she stammered.

"You're so right, but how do you expect me to just easily let her go when my heart can't except that she might be together with him" I said as I remember what Ashley said.

"Let me guess Ashley told you that they are together, don't you get it, she's trying hard to manipulate you and you are excepting it" she said angrily.

"What if she's right? What if lisa already chose him?" I asked as I stood up and walked towards the window.

"You just told me yo find out how she feels about you and why are you already jumping into conclusion without knowing the truth about her feelings for you?" Nora asked asthe stood beside me.

"I.. I don't know how to react, its like I already know she will reject me,but at the same time I want to be with her damn it" I said as I looked outside while the rain pours down.

"Like I said am going to find out tomorrow and please try not to think hard about it and I think the best thing to do is to forget about it and focus on yourself and the future of this pack" she said as sh gently taps my shoulder.

She then left me and I was alone in the room, i turned to look outside as I thought what she said and I couldn't I agree more but I was sure about my feelings for lisa.

I hope that I'll get a good news tomorrow, even though I was also invited but I had to stay back to help mom with the preparation for my official appointed alpha and take over the leadership.

And am not ready to quit on her because she is the only one for me.....
