Back To School
It was quiet between them for a few moments as she was staring at Wade, waiting for an explanation. Wade decided now would be the best time to tell her since they were catching up. So he told her everything up until a few hours ago. He could see on her face she was shocked about his story.
"Is there any way you can show me? I'm just having a hard time believing you. It's not that I don't believe you it's just very shocking,"
"I understand, if someone were to tell me what I just to you, I would think they were crazy,"
'Is there any way for me to show her?' Wade asks the demon in his head that he has still not asked his name.
"Focus on your anger but control it, don't let it corrupt you. I trust that you are smart enough to figure it out,"
I focus on all the hatred my father and brother showed me. I used that answer over the years of my life as a source of power. As I started to fill with anger, I could feel my body changing.
I could feel parts of my body getting warmer as hair started to grow on certain spots of my body, like on my sideburn, forearms, and shins. When I thought I wasn't growing anymore, I opened my eyes to see a whole new world. Everything around me was a different color, everything was red except for his mom who was glowing.
His mom saw her son grow fangs and claws like a beast. His iris was a bright red and his eyeballs were pitch black. She was shocked and afraid that she jumped back because her body was telling her she was in danger and she needed to getaway.
Wade saw this and instant regret shot through his body seeing his mother react how she did. He lowered his head in disappointment and regret. He knew he should have never told her anything, she wasn't ready for this type of information. With his heart almost pounding out of his chest, he was expecting her to yell at him and tell him to leave her house and never come back.
Instead, she walked slowly toward him with acceptance and love in her eyes, as she placed her hand on the side of his face. She smiled with tears filling her eyes as she broke down crying feeling bad for her son. After all, he has to go through this because he was possessed by a demon.
But, it was the complete opposite. Wade's life was going nowhere now he had a purpose to keep going with his life. If not he would have been either homeless or working at a fast food place with a place apartment, with no family or friends. He didn't want that kind of life so basically, this demon saved him from internal dispair.
'Hey, by the way, what's your name? we've been talking for a few hours now and I don't even know your name,'
"My name is Nasir, Nasir the demon lord of hell and the ruler of all demons,"
'I asked your name, not your profession,'
"I will eat your soul,"
'Yeah, yeah, by the way, will the combat books work for me and other people?'
"If you want to let someone enter your pack you can give them the bite, if you don't want them to enter your pack and you bite them, their body will slowly deteriorate and they will die a slow and painful death. Especially the vampires, if you bite them you will see something that will make you want to bleach your eyeballs a million times,"
'That sounds interesting,'
"Mom, why are you crying?"
"Because you were possessed by a demon and now you have to fight to live. It hurts my soul to know you have to go through this,"
"Mom, it's not what you think. This is actually good for me, nothing was going in my life now I have a purpose and I will fulfill that purpose,"
"Then are you not sad?"
"No, this could have been the best thing to happen to me in a while, and I want to appreciate this,"
"Well, promise me this, you will always be safe and don't get yourself killed,"
"I promise. But I need to get you some things so if these beings come after you, you will be able to defend yourself,"
"Ok, but have you told anyone other than me?"
"No, you were the first person, Well I told Max but I don't think he believed me. I will tell him tomorrow,"
"Ok, just be safe, ok?"
"Yeah, I will,"
She gives him a tight hug as he walks out of her room and into his own room. He still had things to ask Nasir. So, he went into his room and laid on his bed.
"Nasir, what is Wem?"
"Wem is your power. For every 10 stat points gained you get 10 Wem. Except for your intelligence, that doesn't give anything to your Wem,"
"Ok, what about my stamina and health? How do I increase those?"
"Every whole stat point you get in vitality and agility will equal 1 to your health and stamina,"
"Then why do I have 150 health and not 23? And, my stamina 50 and not 22?"
"When I bit you, your body changed at that time you were in pain. So, that's why it's greater than your stats. But now every 1 whole stat point will convert to 1,"
"Ok, I get it now,"
Not long after, Wade went to sleep. When he woke up it was an hour before school, So Wade got ready to restart his life.
"Wade, I will be working late today so ill leave some money for you to order out, ok?"
"Yeah, I heard you,"
On his way to school, he got weird stares from people. Even though he stopped playing sports for a while his body was out of shape. But since he got bitten, it was in one night his body was in the top condition.
"Wade? You back?" When Wade turned to the voice. It was from Max. Max has wavy hair with a fade. He had a lean physique and dressed in nice clothes every day. He didn't want to show off that he had money, but he wanted to look good for himself.
"It's been a while, are you back for good now?" Max asked as they walked into the school together. Everyone would mistake them as brothers because they looked the same and had the same height but Wade was a little taller.
"Yeah, I'm back for good but we need to talk after school, how about you come to my house?"
"Does your dad even want me there?"
"I'm not living with my dad anymore, I'm staying with my mom so she won't mind,"
"Is it about that bite mark? What you're going to tell me you're a werewolf?" Max said jokily but stopped laughing because he saw that Wade was dead serious.
"Wait, don't actually tell your a-"
"Keep your mouth shut, for now, I will tell you everything after school so try and act normal,"
They both were in the same class so they walked together. The whole way, he was getting stares, some looking jealous and some looking with lust. But he ignored the stares and went to class.
"Ok, Class we have a test today. Since we didn't do it Friday we will take it now,"
'Just got back and already have to take a test? Oh, who cares, I know everything by now so this is going to be easy,'
After a few minutes, Wade handed in his test. Everyone in the room was looking at him in disbelief even the teacher. He hadn't been there to learn the material but finished the test in a matter of minutes. Everyone including the teacher thought he cheated but he had no way of cheating because no one had fished their test and it didn't even seem he had his phone in his pocket.
After an hour of waiting for the rest of the class to finish, Wade talked to Nasir for the time being.
Teachers POV
'How is this even possible? He wasn't here to learn any of this, so how did he get a perfect score on a test he didn't study for?'
'Did he cheat or is he just really smart to the point where he doesn't need to learn anything and already knows it because his brain works wonders. He is one in a billion chance,'
'He might be able to serve me well in my upcoming plans,'
Wades POV
The school day went by fast will the teachers teaching him things he already knew. He spent the entire day talking to Nasir, not caring about a thing around him, a few people tried to talk to him but he ignored them.
Sooner than later, the day ended and it was the time for an explanation. On the walk home, it was quiet but it wasn't awkward. When they reached his house, the first thing he did was order some food for him and Max because they were going to need it.
"So before you explain anything I need to know, are you a werewolf?"
Wade did the same thing he did for his mom, but more dramatic. He turned around then transformed. He turned around to reveal himself to Max. Who to say was shocked, he could say it was cool but he was scared. He felt his heart drop to his stomach seeing Wade.
"What an entrance," Max said appalling while clapping his hands together.
