Flashback:

"Y/N-chan, you're such a goddess, being my friend.." Zenitsu replied before Tanjiro told him to be quiet.

"Anyway, I better get back to my room for some rest as I will be leaving in the morning. I hope you guys recover soon!"

"Thanks, Y/N-san!" Tanjiro yelled as I shut the shoji behind me as I left.

Y/N POV (Age 14):

After leaving the room, I thankfully managed to get some directions from one of the staff at the Butterfly Mansion.

As to how I got from here to being a Hashira? I'd have to start when I was 9, and my family was still alive...

Y/N POV (Age 9):

"Daddy! I was out again with Shiro, and then I heard someone mention something called a 'demon'. What is a demon?"

"A-Ah, Sweetie, you should probably sit down for this."

After he said that, I decided to take a seat on the tatami mat in front of him. He sighed and cleared his throat, his hands trembling, before he continued.

"Demons are man-eating creatures that roam around at night. They feast on a human's flesh to grow stronger, and then they go back into hiding. To protect people like us, there are people called 'Demon Slayers' that protect us by killing the demons. Demon Slayers are part of an organization called the 'Demon Slayer Corps', in which many individuals train, day and night and from noon to midnight, so that they can defeat demons.

Most of these slayers have tragic backgrounds, others have some sort of strive to be able to go to the length of putting their own lives on the line for us. Slayers enhance their bodies in ways never thought to be humanly possible, to push past their limits and achieve more strength, agility, and abilities that allow them to go toe-to-toe with the demons.

I was once a Demon Slayer, a Hashira. Ah yes, before I forget, there is a ranking system. Slayers progress from a Mizunoto to the other ranks in this order. The higher the rank, the more powerful the Slayer: Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto, Kinoe. Kinoe's can become Hashira by either killing 50 demons or slaying a Demon Moon.

Demons are categorized based on how many humans they have eaten. The strongest is called the '12 Demon Moons.' Uppermoon 1 is the strongest of these, and Lowermoon 6 is the weakest of them. I became a Hashira through defeating the previous Lowermoon 4, however, the ranks can be filled quickly if they have a demon of the correct caliber.

I was known as the Galaxy Pillar, a name that you could strive to inherit. I used the Galaxy Breathing, a breathing style that has been passed down with the moon pin you are wearing."

It was hard to believe - No, it is hard to believe - that I came/come from a family of Demon Slayers. A prestigious family as well, since Galaxy Breathing is the breathing that was first inspired by the Moon Breathing; however my ancestors made it more refined so it has passed its predecessors in power and agility. Moon Breathing has 14 forms, each of which inflicts damage in several ways (This will be revealed in the next chapter).

After many questions and a lot of back-and-forths; I thought that what my father said was all made up. There was no way that demons could exist!

However, I soon would learn that I would be wrong. After this would happen, I would decide that I wished to grow up and be a Demon Slayer to protect those around me and those that I love.
