Feelings & Baby Steps

The ride was rather quite after Icy started absorbing the spirit ring. LeiYu was rather stoic after remembering his past, and Snow could sense it to a degree, that he was feeling sad and lonely. She wanted to cheer him up somehow, but she just didn't know how to really deal with humans yet. In the end she decided to just let her instincts take over seeing as how thinking wasn't helping her in any way.

LeiYu lost in thought, was snapped out of them when he felt something on his shoulder. Turning his head what greeted him was a head of pale blue hair that smelled kind of like Vanilla.

"It's ok if you don't want to talk about it, but if you do ill be here…you've done a lot to help me, even though you hardly know me…let me help you sometimes." (Snowy)

"…Thanks Snow…"

For the rest of the trip LeiYu and Snow talked about all kinds of things while watching the clouds float by. He told her of him being alone his whole life, and how he felt a connection to the Ice Scorpion who was similarly alone for its whole life. While she told him of her past as a spirit beast, how it was hard finding other beasts you got along with due to most beasts fearing your strength. How she met Ice Emperor. She was one of the few who accepted her not for her power but for herself.

LeiYu didn't really know how he felt in this situation, on one hand he was happy to talk to someone about his troubles, and know that Snow had enough trust for him that she was willing to confide her feelings about her own troubles to him. Yet on the other he was confused as to why he felt like he needed to tell her everything. They still only just met and don't really know each other enough. He felt like their feelings for each other weren't deep enough for…

'Wait…enough?...why enough?...am I developing feelings for her?'

Turning his head to look once more at that head on his shoulder he once more sunk into silence. Confused at his silence, snow raised her head locking eyes with LeiYu. She didn't understand what she felt at that moment staring into his deep purple eyes, all she could think about was how she wanted to get lost in them forever. Not even knowing why or who started it, the two woke up from their trance to find their lips locked in a passionate kiss. A beautiful moment were it not for the fact that they looked like children, even though mentally one was over 700,000 years old, and the other around 25.

"!!!" (Both)

The two quickly separated and put some distance between each other wondering what had come over them to suddenly kiss like that.

LeiYu once back to reality began to think, 'I kissed her?? That was my first kiss…its not just her hair…her lips tasted like Vanilla…what should I do now…I know I need to do something but I've never been in this kind of situation before…we have just met I don't even really know her…right?...'

Snow's thoughts were also a mess, 'W..w…we kissed!!! That was my first!!! With a human nonetheless…but I mean…I didn't hate it…what does this mean?? Do I like him? I mean sure he's kind of cute…and his eyes are so beautiful…AHHHHH what am I thinking?? Ugh what should I do now….he must hate me…'

Sometimes fate works in weird ways, two people with no relations to one another, or knowledge of the other, once brought together magical things could happen.

After getting lost in their own thoughts, they once more happened to look at each other at the same time. Looking into her eyes LeiYu came to a decision to just be honest and tell her what he felt at that moment, little did he know that decision would be one which he will look back on for years to come.

"Snow…honestly I don't know what I feel, we just met and I feel like things are moving to fast…but I want to believe…believe that fate brought us together for a reason, I will either look back on this day in joy or regret…but ill leave that for the future. All I know is that I don't want to be alone anymore. I don't know if what I feel for you is love or if things are just moving to fast and I'm confusing myself due to inexperience but I'm willing to take a shot in the dark…would you be willing to stay by my side? I understand if you say no and I wont hold it against you but I feel like I need to at the very least try."

Snow thought about it seriously for a moment…it was an important decision that she never thought she would have to make, at least not so soon…after thinking over her own feelings she realized that there wasn't really a reason to hold back. No one said they needed to rush things right away, they were allowed to take things at their own pace, even if they become a couple, they can take their time figuring things out slowly. After all they're both inexperienced in matters of the heart.

"…I want to try as well, I've never felt love before either so I don't know really the best answer…I guess no one really does huh? I think we can slowly find our own path though, even if its not the same path as others…in other words…please take care of me Yu…"

'Ahhh…that gave me a tingly feeling in my heart, it made me so nervous as well. I wonder what couples are suppose to do? Oh well we can go at our own pace.' Snow thought as she once more moved next to LeiYu and placed her head upon his shoulder, for some reason it felt more natural and a lot warmer then before.

Faced with her words and actions LeiYu was speechless, the fact that he now had become a couple with a girl as beautiful as Snow made him feel giddy inside. He felt…whole…when she placed her head on his shoulder. Looking at the clouds soaring past, he hopes this moment lasts forever.

"Muuu no fair I want to be the one cuddling with Snowy!" (Icy)

Their thoughts were interrupted by a certain haughty scorpion princess who just happened to finish absorbing the spirit ring. Only to notice Snow with her head on LeiYu's shoulder.

Ice's Inner Thoughts: 'Uwu so hateful this fellow!! Snowy's MINE!!'

You may feel like their relationship is a bit rushed, however, I don't think its an issue. You need to understand that one, their both like blank slates, they have both been alone, while Snow had many years of experience, she stayed away from human's if she could help it. After getting helped out by LeiYu, Snow began to develop a 'crush', and LeiYu when Snow put her head on his shoulder realized he wasn't alone anymore, causing him to also begin liking Snow, maybe not to the level of a 'crush' but he knew he cared deeply for her. They were only at that "I have some feelings for you, and care deeply about you" stage but because of their inexperience they interpreted it as "love". In normal situations that wouldn't be the greatest thing, rushing into a relationship with someone who you don't fully understand your feelings for. Things are different in their case which you will see later down the line. Snow will help LeiYu get more experience when dealing women and will help him progress as a person overall. So this moment was needed for both of their developments.)
