I Still Love You!

Ray didn't bring up his feelings for Heather during all the time they spent together both on and off campus until he graduated. He accepted a job over in Lexington and the commute really wasn't that far so he continued to stay with Frank and help take care of him because he was getting older.

He couldn't tend the garden like he used to and they had to get a lift installed that helped him get up and down the stairs. Watching the lively old man fade away was hard because Ray had never seen this happen to anyone he cared about before.

A lot of the time when he came home from work he would find Heather doing her homework at the kitchen table chatting with Frank. He would always ask what she was doing there and she would wink and say she wasn't here for him at all and that Frank had invited her over.
