Ray discovered that Heather was quite the chatterbox on the ride back. He learned a lot about her that he hadn't cared to know, such as the facts that she was twelve and a half years old and knew how to do the splits.

When he dropped her off in front of her house she gestured for him to come closer. He did as she said, wanting to get this over with, and she leaned forward and kissed his cheek.

"Thanks again for saving me! Wait until I get bigger, okay? I'm gonna marry you when I grow up!"

Ray didn't even know how to respond to that. Before he could get his bearings and tell her that was impossible, she had already skipped inside with the kitten in tow. He went home and plopped the bag of things Frank asked him to get on the table, disgruntled, and the old man noticed something off about him immediately.

"What's with you?"
