True to my word, I returned a few minutes later dressed in comfortable jeans and a thin, long sleeved sweater. I'd pulled my hair into a ponytail and put on my favorite pair of boots - the same ones I'd worn the night Jax and I went to the bar. Had that really only been a few days ago? Seemed like a lifetime had passed since I'd been with him.

"Ah, so you did decide to return." Prince Gregory beamed at me.

Only then did I notice he'd changed, too. He'd traded his perfectly pressed slacks and button up shirt for a pair of faded jeans that hung comfortably low on his hips, and a dark blue Henley. I once again found myself appreciating how handsome he was. Regardless of how physically attractive he might be, he still wasn't Jax, and he never would be.

"Yes, well, I'm a glutton for punishment." I shrugged.
