I wandered toward the couch and sank down onto the cushions, my head falling against the back of the couch. I prayed Piper and her sisters were safe, that the Draven Coven wasn't mistreating them or keeping them captive. If the Dravens knew Piper and her sisters were half dragon. . . I shuddered to think what would happen to them. But I knew with absolute certainty what would happen to the entire Draven Coven if they so much as laid a finger on Piper - I'd kill every last one of them.
Blowing out a breath, I leaned forward and propped my elbows on my knees. I'd been staying at Chloe and Trent's for the past several weeks, but being here now felt wrong. Without Piper around, the entire place had a black, gloomy cloud hanging overhead. Or maybe that was just my mood. Either way, I wasn't sure I could stay here another night. Everywhere I looked, I saw her. I heard her sweet voice and melodic laugh. I could smell her with every breath I took.
