Chapter 21: Cloudy Star Company

"I will be going to get our entrance tokens; the both of you can wander around till I'm back," Elder Xieling informed Kai and Caihong before she flew in another direction.

Immediately after elder xieling left, the situation became awkward for Kai because he was wary of Caihong; he prayed in his mind that this phoenix girl wouldn't start roasting him alive to investigate what he did to elder xieling for her to take an interest in him.

However, things did not work as he prayed. Caihong turned to face Kai with a pout and mischievous smile; before Kai could react, she dragged Kai closer with his ears.

"Aiya, sister Caihong, it... it hur.... hurt". He started screaming, but Caihong did not care; he started dragging him away from the public since people walking by were looking at them strangely.

She dragged him to a quiet corner, and seeing this, Kai became scared a little, and he couldn't help but start to imagine himself getting beaten black and blue, but there was nothing he could do about this; moreover, Caihong was way too strong for Kai, either physically or spiritually.

Caihong released his ears, which had become red once they got to the corner, "Now tell me, what's so special about you that interests elder sister Xieling so much that she took you under her wings?"

"Aiya, goddess Caihong, how I'm I supposed to know? Elder xieling saved my life, and since then have owed her a lot, but there is nothing special about me, sister Caihong; look at me!! What could be special about me? I have no talent, no cultivation roots; I can only depend on the body". Kai explains to Caihong hurriedly while putting on an act that makes people want to pity him.

His action seemed to work because Caihong was now looking at him with empathy, "Hmmm, maybe elder sister pitied you so much that she decided to help you, hmmm, well, you look pitiful." Caihong said. "Alright, I will be taking care of you also from now on, so you have to listen to me as an elder sister, okay?".

Kai and Caihong walked out of the corner and started exploring the military base; it was large inside, and there were market districts where merchants, restaurants, and hotels were located. Kai and Caihong were walking in this district, enjoying themselves.

"Boss, is that not the brat that went against you in the auctions?" A young man among a group of people that looked wild and dangerous said out loud. These groups are the Wolf Gang Mercenaries and the person leading this group is their leader Wolf Fang, which Kai outbid in the auction hall in the hua-tian city.

Wolf Fang looked in the direction of Kai, and the scars on his face trembled a little before a wild grin appeared on his face, but when he saw Caihong walking together with Kai, he frowned a little, "Sparrow, you follow them quietly without alerting them and make sure you update me about their every move," Wolf Fang said to the young man who spotted Kai first.

He looked at Kai one last time with a grin before he left with the other group members while Sparrow started following Kai secretly.

Kai felt a sharp intent behind him while he followed Caihong around, but when he looked back, he couldn't find anything. He frowned and spread out his sense through the energies in the surroundings, but he didn't notice anything unusual, so he ignored it and focused on enjoying himself with Caihong.

While walking, they arrived in front of a huge mall that had a huge word written in front of it, "Cloudy Star Merchants mall." Kai saw a lot of people going in and out of this mall.

"Elder sister, why don't we enter this mall? Maybe I might be able to get some of my cultivation resources?" Kai asked Caihong, who was standing beside her.

Caihong nodded her head before they both started towards the entrance. Upon entering the hall, a beautiful lady in a red dress approached them, "Hello, young master and mistress, welcome to our Cloudy Star mail; how would you like me to help you?" She said with a gentle voice.

"sorry to bother you, but please, we need a huge amount of rare resources. Do you think we can get them here?" Kai told the lady while handing her a list of what he needed.

The lady took the note from him and checked it for a while; then a surprised expression appeared on his face; he looked back at Kai, "Young master, are you sure you want everything on this list?" she asked.

"yes, young miss, I will be happy if I can get twice of everything on the list," Kai explained, which made the lady scrutinize Kai more.

"Alright, follow me; I will need to take you to the mall supervisor because only he can handle such big business," she started leading Kai and Caihong toward a portal at the far end of the mall's first floor.

The lady led them directly inside the portal, they arrived at the mall's second floor, but they did not stop there. They walked to the far end of the second floor and entered the portal leading to the third and fourth floors.

The fourth floor was smaller than the rest of the lower floor, but the formations and every single resource used on this floor were ten times better than the rest. The lady led Kai and Caihong to the front of a room on the fourth floor, "this is where the supervisor attends to customers like you," she explained to Kai before knocking on the door.

After knocking twice, the door was opened by a woman. She possessed a striking physical appearance. She Carried herself with confidence and grace. Her silver-streaked chestnut hair is flawlessly styled, framing her composed face. Her deep-set, hazel eyes exhibit a blend of wisdom, determination, and warmth.

"Miss, I have brought you this young master because his trading request is at the Gold level". The lady that brought Kai quickly explained to the lady who opened the door.

The lady looked at Kai for a while without any change in her expression; however, when she set her gaze on Caihong, her eyes widened slightly, but she quickly composed herself.

"you may go now; I will call for you when I need you," she said to the lady before she invited Kai and Caihong inside, "please come in."

Kai and Caihong walked in; Kai was mesmerized by the setting of the room and the quality of every piece of furniture in the room; however, Caihong just looked at everything like it was nothing. The lady invited them to sit down, which they did.

"My name is Dongmei. May I know your name, please?" she asked elegantly.

"My name is Kai, and this is my elder sister Caihong; it's nice to meet you, Miss Dongmei," Kai replied since Caihong was unwilling to get involved in the process.

"It's nice to meet you also, young master Kai. What type of resources will you like to get?" Dongmei asked why giving Caihong a side look.

Kai did not waste time and handed over the list to Dongmei.

She received the list and started looking through it; after she finished, she looked at Kai, "Young master, we do have everything on this list since we just got our stocks piled up from the main branch. However, to get everything here will cost you later, not to mention getting twice everything you want".

Kai was delighted inside his mind; as for money, he wasn't worried since he was walking bank, so he looked at Dongmei with a smile, "Miss Dongmei, I would like you to get twice everything on that list, the money is not a problem as long we get the goods in good quality" he explained, while also containing his excitement.

Because every single resource on that list was rare resources Kai needed to temper his body, and most of the resources were natural resources that were rare to come, for example, the eternal fire ore, the violet star flowers, myriad devil fruits, heavenly stars liquid, and many more.
