Chapter 17: peak stage of stellar transformation realm

Kai first climbed on top of the vulture, and he felt strange, but the moment the vulture took to flight and started flying them to their destination, Kai became amused. He started experiencing the feelings of flying, and he desired to one day be able to fly himself.

After they've flown for three hours, they arrive in a sky where a huge demonic portal was floating gently in the air; this portal was absorbing the demonic energy in the air gently. Then elder Liu walked to the front of the portal, and he sent a golden token toward the portal.

The moment the token arrived in front of the portal, it vibrated a little, and a mysterious energy flew out from the token to the portal. Elder Liu patted the vulture to enter, which it did immediately.

Kai was surprised and amused, even though he couldn't understand what had happened, but the desire to learn and know everything sprung up in his heart.

After they enter the portal, Kai realizes he can't see anything; the space everywhere is dark. This goes on for a few minutes before they emerge from the darkness, and what welcomes Kai almost makes his eyes pop out of their socket.

"This is the core zone of the sect, and only the most important and strongest of the strongest experts have the privilege to live here." Elder Liu quickly explained.

But to Kai, this was a magnificent sight to behold; as they flew closer, Kai's breath caught in his throat at the sheer grandeur of the zone.

The core zone consists of a series of massive courtyards, each one more impressive than the last. The buildings are made of dark, polished stone and are adorned with intricate carvings and demonic runes that seem to pulse with a vast dense demonic energy.

The deeper they went into the core zone, the buildings became taller and more elaborate, with multiple soaring mountains that reached toward the sky. Kai could see lines of giant demonic statues, each one a tribute to the power and majesty of the demonic being respected by the sect. Suddenly Kai realized they were not getting closer to the buildings, but instead, they were taking another Turn away from the majestical zone.

Kai didn't know whether to cry or laugh upon seeing that the vulture was now flying in another direction; he looked at Elder Liu's face while the old man smiled back at him since he could understand his pain.

"No one is allowed to enter that zone since it belongs to the core disciples, supreme elders, core elders, enforcement laws officers, the vice master, and the sect master; ordinary people like us are not allowed to enter there, but if you want to live here one day, then work harder and become stronger." Elder Liu explained to Kai before the vulture landed on another colossal mountain range.

Kai nodded since he could understand everything Elder Liu explained to him. They both got down, and Elder Liu led Kai to the demonic mountain entrance.

Upon getting there, Kai saw twelve people standing at the entrance; Elder Liu quickly explained the situation to Kai before they arrived close to the entrance.

"Kai listened carefully; this devil immortal pool only opens once every hundred years, and every time it opens, only the core disciples are allowed to enter to temper their bodies with the energy in the pool, but you were lucky for the opportunity you came across, so make sure you absorb as much as you can while in there and also make sure not to clash with any core member or else the consequences are not something you can endure, do you understand now?". Elder Liu explained in a severe, urgent tone.

Upon seeing the seriousness in Elder Liu's tone, Kai nodded his head; moreover, he is not someone that goes around looking for trouble anyway; as long as they don't find trouble with him, then no problem.

When they got closer, the core elders greeted Elder Liu, and the elder returned the greeting more respectfully, then everybody directed their gaze to Kai.

Kai was a little nervous from those intense gazes; he felt no malice, hatred, or anything but curiosity. This was to be expected anyway since most of them knew just how strong Garos was in the mortal realm. So seeing someone who was not even giving off any aura made them curious about how he achieved such a remarkable feat.

But since everyone present was stronger than Kai, they could feel how terrifying Kai's body was.

"I'm really curious about how a cripple like you could cultivate your body to such an extent; even though your body is strong, it is still too weak to defeat Garos, so how did you do it?" Suddenly one of the core disciples walked out with this question.

Looking at the figure that arrived in front of him with such questions made Kai's jaw drop wide open.

In front of Kai stood a small but striking figure, standing at only 4 '11. Her frame was slim and delicate, with long legs and slender limbs that gave her an almost ethereal quality. Her skin was the color of polished obsidian, smooth and flawless. Her features were petite and perfectly symmetrical-high cheekbones, a slightly upturned nose, and full lips that were pulled into a teasing smile.

Her eyes were large and almond-shaped, with irises the color of sparkling amethyst. They danced and twinkled with mischief, adding to the whimsical nature of her character. Her hair was a dark, obsidian black, soft and silky to the touch. It flowed down her back in loose waves, framing her face and highlighting her striking features.

Despite her small stature and childlike demeanor, Kai could tell she was a powerful being- something in the way she moved and carried herself hinted at a more profound strength and cunning. Kai could feel all her features due to his connection with the surrounding energies.

"Hehehe, big sis, I'm such a weak mortal; how can I have the power to kill Garos? I was only lucky; it's all based on luck". Kai smiled and replied to the lady.

The lady frowned suddenly, and Kai felt terrible feelings emerged in his heart, he started wondering if he had said something wrong. However, the lady angrily stomped her small leg on the floor before walking away from Kai.

Everybody in the area shook their heads at Kai, making him more curious.

The elder then spoke for them to be ready as they would be opening the entrance now, and they will be forced out after seven days.

Kai quickly put the curious thought back in his mind and focused on the current situation.

The core elders throw a golden token from their hand toward the entrance below the mountain, and the same thing happens when Elder Liu wants to enter the portal occurs again.

"You can all go in now, and don't waste this grand opportunity." One of the core elders said that the ten core disciples and Kai immediately rushed inside; however, Kai's speed was like a snail running after a hare. He didn't know whether to cry or laugh; he only shook his head and kept running.

After a few minutes, Kai got inside and saw a large pool of dark-gold liquid with shimmering white particles that looked like stars sparkling around it.

Kai felt a huge amount of energy and calculated that if he absorbed a lot of this energy, he would reach the peak of the stellar realm, so he did not waste any more time and dived inside the pool.

He swam deep inside the pool; upon getting deep, he saw all the core disciples sitting meditatively and absorbing the energy already.

He quickly swam to one corner and sat down before making hand signs and reciting the chant for the first stage of Heavenly body refinement art.

Immediately the golden pattern on his forehead lit up, and it started absorbing the energies in the pool at a faster rate.

The stars on Kai's bones and other organs were shining brighter; the more he tempered his organs, the more stars appeared and the stronger and tougher they became.

After six days, a loud muffled bang rang out from Kai's body, and a heavy solid aura exploded out of him, but he immediately recalled all the aura back as soon as they came. He has finally broken through to the peak stage, but suddenly an unexpected situation happens.

The golden gate pattern on his forehead suddenly lit more brightly, and a huge whirlpool appeared on his forehead; all the energy within the pool started gushing inside the vortex. Kai wanted to control it because the disturbance it was causing was too much, but he had no control over the situation.
