Phillip and Paige

Orion stood there dumbfounded as he saw two gigantic magic circles appear on the floor. They were composed of thousands of different symbols and layers that he had never seen before.

They were both bright blue and slowly became so bright he could still see the light with his eyes closed. Suddenly they began to dim and Orion opened his eyes.

Orion was startled from what he saw as it wasn't what he expected to see. In front of Orion were two penguins that were about five feet tall. The male penguin had a tuxedo that covered his upper body and a monocle on his right eye.

He had two large yellow feet and was quite chubby. His dark blue feathers covered most of his body except the front side of his stomach and face. His beak was orange and had a thick, grey moustache.

The other penguin was female and had a puffy and long maid's dress that was black and white, it covered her whole body and stopped right above her large orange feet that were sticking out of the bottom. She had dark blue and white feathers just like the butler penguin but her beak was red.

She had a pair of small circular glasses and had grey hair tied in a bun. She looked like a friendly grandmother that turned into an adorable penguin. She wasn't as chubby as the butler but she was still on the chubby side.

"Good evening, master," both penguins bowed and spoke at the same time. They raised their heads and the butler penguin spoke up, "My name is Phillip and this is my wife, Paige. From this moment forth we are your humble servants, master."

Orion was amazed at how well mannered they were and their auras were dignified and well developed. "I will be your butler and my purpose is to make sure all of your wishes and needs are taken care of. Master only needs to say the word and I will do everything necessary to get it done," Phillip said.

"And I am your head maid, Master. I will handle your future staff and make sure your domain is in tip top shape. For now, I will gladly handle the work that needs to be done," Paige bowed once again.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Phillip, Paige but could you drop the master talk? I'd like for us to not be so distant," Orion was going to say something else but was interrupted by the couple.

"We humbly refuse. You are our master and we will forever regard you as such. There is no need to worry, master!" Paige and Phillip spoke in a cheerful tone as they bowed.

"Well, if you insist. My name is Orion Lagos and this little girl is named Luna." He introduced himself and Luna spread her wings cheerfully as she sat on Orion's shoulder, "HOO!"

Orion turned to look at the large pack behind him and said, "That is Amon, my first contracted beast and his pack."

"It's an honour to finally meet you, master Orion, young lady Luna" the couple bowed again as they spoke with pride. "If you don't mind, master, could we take a look at the castle? We'd like to see what needs to be done first," Paige spoke in a soft and gentle voice.

"Uhh... sure, but I'm warning you, I kind of made a mess in there when I fought a pale guy and his minions earlier." Orion knew that the castle was in a horrible state and he didn't know where to even start.

"Don't worry, Master. For now, we will just have a look around and get familiar with the castle," Phillip said. "Sounds good," Orion nodded and led the way, before entering the castle he turned around and spoke to Amon, "If there's any issues, come find me immediately."

Orion turned and walked into the castle with the two penguins following behind him. Amon bowed and then turned to his pack. He explained the situation to the wolves before they spread out to explore and familiarize themselves with their surroundings.

Amon sat down in front of the castle doors as he stayed alert, but it didn't take long for Amon to release a big yawn and lie down lazily. Orion, on the other hand, was walking through the castle and explaining everything to the two penguins.

Orion was consuming the left over cores from the wolves and remembered he still had a rare core from the giant forest cobra. He was about to take it out and eat it when they reached the highest floor of the castle.

"Master, for now, could you please summon some cleaners? We should start with cleaning right away and worry about fixing what is broken later," Paige said.

"Okay I'll see how many I can summon, status," Orion said as the green panel appeared before him.

"Hmm, I still have a decent amount of LFP left. System, put my points in agility again and open the store," Orion said.

Orion saw the cleaner summoning for 500 LFP each and thought about buying as many as possible but he decided against it and decided to save some of his points for later.

PURCHASE SUCCESSFUL]

"I'll summon six cleaners for now," Orion said as the same magic circles as before appeared immediately, but this time they were less complex and much smaller.

They shined brightly and when they dimmed down there were six clear blue slimes about a foot tall, standing before the group. "Whoa, what are these?" Orion asked with curiosity. He bent down and poked one of them as his eyes sparkled when they jiggled.

"These are pure slimes, Master. They are slimes that love to eat grime and anything filthy, they are nature's cleaners and perfect for cleaning the castle and it's hard to reach places. There are thousands of different types of slimes," Paige explained.

"I see, I'll leave them to you then, Paige," Orion said with a smile. "Understood, Master," Paige said as she gave a slight bow and then turned towards the slimes, "Okay children, let's start with Master's room and make our way down." Paige said.

She then raised her flippers and the bed sheets, chairs, and many other small things began to float in the air.

Orion was stunned and was about to ask what's happening when Phillip spoke up first, "We are telekinetic, Master. We are able to communicate telepathically with anyone at large distances and also use our magic in this way. This helps us to spread your commands instantly and help with tedious tasks."

This was the first time Orion had seen such magic and it took him a bit to take it all in. "Come and help me old man," Paige said "Coming, dear!" Phillip jumped and said as he ran back towards her side.

Orion smiled and felt good that they acted just like a henpecked husband and wife. They conduct themselves as nobles but they act just like an old married couple.

Orion stood there watching as the six slimes started enlarging themselves to about two meters tall and started climbing the walls. Wherever they went, the surface would become sparkling clean.

Orion was immersed in watching the slimes at work when he suddenly felt Amon rushing towards him. Orion walked out of the door and asked, "Amon what's the matter?"

Amon reached him quickly and spoke up anxiously, "Master, I smell fire coming from the north past the giant forest cobra's territory!" Orion widened his eyes as he thought, 'fire? Could it be a beast? Or maybe humans?'

His mind was racing with different possibilities but it took him less than a second to reply, "Phillip take care of Luna for now. I will return as soon as I can," Orion said as he grabbed Luna from his shoulder.

"Papa!" Luna was about to complain as she struggles to stay but Orion rubbed her head gently and gave her a reassuring smile. "Stay here for now, Luna. I won't be gone for long," Orion said gently as he gave her to Phillip.

"Mm!" Luna nodded, "Please be safe , Master" Phillip added. Orion smiled at Luna and Phillip and then turned back towards Amon. Orion ties his long hair and began equipping his armor as he said, "lead the way, Amon. Bring ten of your strongest just in case."

"Yes, Master!" Amon said enthusiastically and started running forward. Orion followed closely behind and said, "is this your fastest? Speed up, we don't have much time!"

Amon was shocked that Orion could keep up and shouted, "Understood!" Amon ran at his full speed and was amazed that Orion was right beside him. Orion was equipping his menacing full body armor as he ran and wasn't losing any speed.

They quickly reached the main entrance and Amon released a loud howl, "AAWWWOOOOOO" Amon then turned to Orion and said, "they will catch up with us master. I'll lead the way there," Orion nodded and followed behind as they both used gale step to run into the forest.

Orion could feel the presence of the ten wolves arrive behind them one by one as they weaved through the trees. Amon and the wolves were running at their full speed and were reaching the scene of the fire quickly.

A trip that should have taken about an hour was only a few minutes at most. The sun was almost fully set and the forest was becoming pitch black. The large flames raging in front of them was like a shinning beacon in the night.

Once Orion saw the fire his eyes widened as he took in a deep breath. "I'll meet you there, Amon," Orion said as he exhaled a large amount of steam.

*BOOM*

The ground exploded as Orion took a step and launched himself in front of Amon. 'Did he not use his full power when he fought against us?!' Amon shouted in his mind but he quickly remembered that Orion was protecting Luna when he fought against his pack.

Amon shivered and felt grateful that Luna was there when they fought. It didn't take long before Orion disappeared from the wolves sight but they could still smell his scent.

Orion arrived at the scene quickly and was shocked at the carnage in front of him. There was a small village with many, if not all of the huts on fire. There were many people already dead but throughout the village Orion could see the fighting clearly.

There were many women being dragged away by the hair or a limb. They were desperately fighting for a way out of the grip of the monster dragging them away.

The men were fighting as best as they could but more and more kept getting killed by the green monsters due to their large numbers. Orion became angry that such inhumane acts were happening in front of him.

The monsters were small with green skin and chubby bellies. They were bald and had large noses and pointy ears but their faces were ugly and grotesque. Orion was about to rush in but then he saw a little girl fall to the ground as a green monster ran towards her.

[THESE ARE GOBLINS]

Orion heard the System but at the same moment, he had a flash back of his time on planet Gaia. He was about fifteen years old and was on one of his first expeditions.

His task was to hunt down a large group of barbarians from a neighbouring country that kept pillaging and massacring villages on the borders of Sunflower.

Orion arrived at a small backwater village just in time to see the barbarians in action. There were women with their clothes ripped off, laying motionless on the ground in a pool of blood. There were men decapitated with tortured bodies, there were elderly trampled to death and children beaten and killed.

Orion saw a little girl as she ran out of an alleyway right in front of him. She saw Orion and screamed for help. Orion reached his hand out to grab the girl but an arrow pierced through her small chest right as she reached his hand.

The blood of the girl splattered on Orion's face stunning him and causing him to drown in fury. Orion's mind went blank and he lost all memories of what happened after that scene.

Orion's breathing technique isn't only for absorbing, circling and channeling his mana. It's also for calming his mind so he doesn't fly into a blind rage like when he was younger. When rage overpowers his mind, he kills without mercy and without any regard to his own wellbeing.

When Orion finally regained his senses on that day, he was holding the small girl in his arms as he kneeled on the ground. Orion was covered in blood and couldn't tell wether it was all his or not. He had many cuts on his bodyguards continued to bleed and his armor was destroyed.

Orion screamed and cried for the first time on a battlefield as he held the little girl tightly, the pain in his mind and body hitting him at the same time. Behind him, was a town devoid of life. The walls of the houses, the roofs, the alleyways and the streets were all dyed red in colour.

All the barbarians were brutally killed with their heads and limbs detached. Some had many broken bones and disfigured bodies, but there wasn't a single person alive in the end other than Orion.

Orion went on ahead of his caravan when he felt something wrong. When the soldiers arrived they saw the young Orion wailing at the sky holding the small child. They saw the carnage behind Orion and felt fear and admiration towards their young commander.

When this memory flashed in Orion's mind, fury filled his veins as they popped and his eyes became clouded with rage. Orion took in a huge breath filling his lungs with mana and air as he manipulated his mana into his throat.

Orion channeled more mana into his vocal cords than ever before and roared at the village down the hill in front of him, "YOU BASTARDS WILL DIE BY MY HANDS!!!" The yell was so powerful that everyone felt like the earth and the sky began to tremble.

Amon and the ten wolves became stunned and all the birds in the surrounding forest flew away in fright. The people of the village were shocked but began to feel hope from the overpowering voice filled with anger.

The goblins that were in the village became stiff with fear as they received the full brunt of Orion's killing intent and bloodlust. They froze and began to tremble as they felt the presence of a huge beast on top of the nearby hill.

No goblin could move a finger and some that were closer to Orion stopped breathing completely. The battle became quiet for a couple of seconds before Orion made his move. Orion manipulated his mana into his legs and leaned forward as he unsheathed his Nodachi and reached for an axe on his back.
