As Myah thoroughly washed away the powder on his body.
The group of Bouncing Slimes shortly dropped their interest in him and scattered around the lake while making numerous blob-blob sounds.
They already have enough fun for today, not to mention that thrashing Myah also consumed much of their energy. They need some good sleep to recover their depleted spirit energy fully.
It's also one of the many fascinating parts of Spirit Beasts.
Most of the time, they only need to sleep to cultivate and recover their wasted spirit energy.
For those at a higher rank, they seldom sleep for tens of years straight without waking up.
This hooman and the dumb horse have been coming here near the lake every morning lately.
The group of Bouncing Slimes feels the need to be prepared themself in case they need to beat up these two idiots again tomorrow.
Defeat is not tolerable, not after they have experienced the sweetness of continuous victory.
...
"Whew! It seems they have gone away." Sensing the faint movement gradually scattered on the shore of the lake, Myah guessed that the Bouncing Slimes have given up on them for today.
"That was so close. But we will definitely defeat them tomorrow!" He muttered, looking persistent and determined.
"Hissss-ouch..."
Taking a deep breath, Myah gently rubbed the bruised on his shoulder and his back.
He flinched every time.
It doesn't hurt much while he was still fighting the slimes, but the injuries started to ache like hell now that it's over.
Fortunately, the lake's cooling water help ease the pain and made it much more bearable.
Taking a moment to enjoy the nice cooling bath, little Myah relaxed his body and floated on the surface of the lake water with a refreshing expression.
Doing this has become his new morning routine these past few days, and the little guy utterly loves it. After all, the wooden tub at home is not big enough to his liking.
Splash! Splash!
Splash!*
Bumpkin, too, seems to enjoy itself.
In the water, it kept on waving its four legs vigorously, trying to swim. Small waves of water splashed everywhere, and it began swimming with a dog-like style.
Through the spiritual connection they shared, Myah could feel Bumpkin's emotion which was full of enjoyment.
—
"Let's go, Bumpkin. We have enough fun for today." Getting onto the shore, Myah shook off the water in his clothe and hair.
"Aowoo!" Appeared somewhat reluctant, Bumpkin speedily did its dog swim for one more round before getting out of the lake and trotted after him.
After Bumpkin shakes off the lingering water along the way, its whole body looked fresh and renewed, especially so for the furry brown mane on its back.
They are furry, silky, and is smooth to the touch.
"Grandma, Myah is done with today's spear training.
"Guess what? Today, I have learned the third movement of the spear technique you taught me." After Myah runs toward Mu Suyin, he shakes her leg fiercely. "Looks, my body is bruised everywhere. They hurt!"
"Easy, I have already known." Sitting up from the rocking chair, she slowly said, "Don't try to distract me. You broke your spear again today, haven't you?"
"I...I was not" Facing down, he utters faintly like mosquitoes noises.
"Uh-uh, don't show me that pitiful expression. It won't work this time." Pinching his cheek, she said with a smile.
"Ahh, that hurts! A slime hit me there, and it even broke my teeth looks!" Myah opened his mouth and showed her with a rueful expression. "When we go back, Pickle, Lena, and the other will laugh at me..."
Anyone could see a slightly clear and visible gap between those small white teeth.
"Pf—!"
Seeing one of his upper front teeth is missing, Mu Suyin almost lets out laughter, but she refrains herself from doing so.
"Huuu... Don't worry, they will grow back after some time. You are almost seven, and it will happen more often in the future."
"Grandma, did you just laugh?" Puffing his cheek, the little guy looks very fierce.
"No, of course, not... How could I laugh at you? It was probably just the slimes making noises." Rubbing Myah's head, Mu Suyin soon took out a small container from the inner pocket of her robe.
Witnessing this scene, Bumpkin snorted but quickly cowered away upon receiving a deadly glare.
Once she opened the cap of the small container, the sunshine revealed a fresh leafy green cream from within as a faint pleasant fragrance leaked out and soon wafted through the air.
It quickly attracted the curiosity of many small Spirit Beast as they looked over.
As soon as Mu Suyin started applying it onto Myah's bruises, he could instantly feel a comfortable cooling sensation as the pain receded.
And after what seemed like a minute, one could see that the bruises also started to disappear.
It was magical.
"Does it feel better?" She asserted with a smile, "The healing cream should be able to heal the majority of your injuries by the time we get back to the house, but you still need to meditate for some time for a full recovery."
Seeing his blissful smile, the expression on Mu Suyin's face slowly become weighty.
"But, Myah, you have to focus.
"Grandma knows what kind of potential you have. However, it would be best if you tried even harder. You can achieve much more, okay?" She spoke earnestly.
Myah's lips moved lightly before he replied in a low mood, "Okay."
"Well, here goes." Mu Suyin gently handed over the small container of healing cream to the little guy and continued to speak.
"Grandma will go and harvest some wild vegetables and fruits around the lake. Until then, you can do whatever you want. We will have salads with shrimp for today. Oh, one more thing, don't run too far away."
"Ehehe, be quick. Myah's hungry."
—
"Aowoo..."
"Shhh! Don't make noises. We have to be quiet." Turning around and warning Bumpkin briefly, Myah continued to sneak up behind a bush slowly.
The little guy's face revealed a mischievous smile as he could sense the mark of his spirit energy.
'You won't be able to run away from me!'
