Chapter 7 Chapter

Kaylan's feet were almost shaking.

Her heart raced so terribly as she wanted it to be a dreame; a bad dream could she get over.

"I've found my bride already" The words rang repeatedly in her head and as she looked up at him, staring into his dark eyes, she could feel herself being enveloped in fear.

"S..sir?" The matron called and moved closer.

"Y...You want her?"

"Absolutely" Zane answered archly and let go of her cheek.

"Get her ready. We need to leave now" he added and walked away, going to meet up with Axel who was at the door.

"Are you sure you want her? She's Sapphire's daughter" Axel asked lowlu as he got to where he was and a smirk ran up to Zane's lips.

"More reason I want her, Axel" he scoffed and left.

****************

"No!!!!!" Crystal yelled in the room, kicking and throwing things around.

"No!! No!! I hate her!"

"Crystal come on, you're hurting yourself!" Bonnie said worriedly and tried touching her, but the force with which Crystal had shoved her hand away, got her startled.

"I prepared so much for this day!" She cried out. "I had so much plans, even fixed my hair. Yet, Kaylan just stood there effortlessly and got him. The b!tch snatched him away!! I hate her!!"

"What's going on here?" The door opened swiftly and one of the female guards popped her head in.

"Um... we're fine ma'am. Please, don't worry about us" Bonnie feigned a smile and the guard, after giving a scrutinizing stare at them, closed the door and left.

**************

Kaylan stood in the room, crying her eyes out as she stood with her little bag.

Her life was doomed already. She was done for.

"Kaylan! Aren't you done packing up already?' she heard a voice from outside the door and knew it was the guard.

She bent her head and wept bitterly, not wanting to make a move. Goodness! What has she gotten into?

The door opened this time around and the guard walked in.

"What the f**k is holding you up, Kaylan? Get your ãss moving!" The guard stated rasply but Kaylan still didn't make a move.

"I don't wanna go" she whimpered. "Please... don't take me to him".

The guard chuckled and moved closer to her.

"Well, you don't have a choice, Hunter's daughter. And there's nothing I can do to help either. Now, get your ãss moving!" He held her roughly by the arm and pulled her out of the room.

Walking beside the guard, she wiped her tears and forced herself to stop crying cause she wouldn't want anyone seeing how weak she was.

The few people around kept stealing glances at her and muttering some words, but she cared less. The problem ahead of her was bigger than the problem beside her. She was going to be Alpha Zane's slave!! How on earth would she survive that?

She didn't want to be anybody's slave, not to mention someone like Zane. Oh! Was she being punished for her mother's sins??

*

Few more minutes and she arrived at the office with the guard. And there she met the Matron, a guard, Alpha Zane and an unfamiliar boy beside him.

"Oh! She's ready, Alpha" The Matron noted and Zane - who was already aware of her presence - turned around to have a look.

He stood up with those dark eyes of his piercing right at her like they could see through her soul and as he approached her, she forced herself to lower her gaze to the floor.

"Look at me" his voice was icy and Kaylan felt her heart stop beating.

Huh? Look at him? Why?

"I hate it when I have to repeat myself, young lady"' he said but again, Kaylan couldn't bring herself to the look at him.

She was scared to.

Then, he lifted his both hands to her chin and forced it up and her eyes helplessly stared into his.

"Sapphire..." He whispered the name.

Her heart melted as she stared into his deep blue eyes.

"Your mother wounded me, Kaylan" he went on, his words almost in a whisper.

"She left a deep scar on my chest and seeing you in front of me only makes me feel so indebted to the moon goddess for bringing such luck to me. Somehow, I wish your mother's still alive so she can see what I make out of her daughter".

Kaylan couldn't help it anymore as a hopeless tear came rolling down her cheek.

She whimpered and wished he'd just let go of her face because she couldn't continue staring into his eyes like that.

Her breath wavered and he finally let go of her cheeks.

"Bring her along. Let's go" he said to one of the boys in the room and left.
