Hobgoblin

Ransom didn't just stop from killing the rest of the goblins. He collected the 6 pebbles, which he calls "Bullets", and the Red Crystals from their corpse which totalled 16. He's a bit disappointed that the Goblin Shaman's Crystal isn't any different than most but he figured out that every monster in the first ascent probably only gives Red Crystals. He then advanced towards the forest. He has decided that today is the day the goblins will be wiped out in the face of this island.

On the way, he saw 7 goblins who were caught in the traps he set up beforehand. He sighed and also collected their Crystals which makes his pocket heavier with 28 of them there.

...

In a hidden large cave on an unknown island, 4 goblins can be seen standing at the entrance, yawning.

Suddenly, 4 projectiles whizzed through the air, penetrating the head of three goblins. The last Bullet thrown by his non-dominant left arm, missed the goblin's head by a mere inch.

The goblin was shocked and started yelling. Fortunately, it only lasted for a second before his head exploded due to another Bullet.

Ransom came showing from a bush while sometimes looking at his left arm.

'I need to train harder. At least make my left arm's precision on par with my right even if it's lacking in power.' He thought.

"I need to collect the Bullet fast. Some goblin must already have been alerted by the noise." He collected the Bullets and the fallen goblin weapons. And waited in a bush much closer to the entrance.

A couple of seconds later he heard a loud rustle within the cave.

'Damn, If it's this loud, then they must at least be 30 goblins... But that's impossible. I've killed almost 30 goblins so far, and based on the numbers I've seen on the crash, there can't be any more goblins... Right?'

When the sound came closer, Ransom's face became much colder. The sound is like a heavy sack being dragged...

'Don't tell me, it's-'

A massive figure came into light. Its colour is much lighter than the usual leaf-green coloured goblins. Its body is like those bodybuilders in American TV Shows. Its nose is just two holes and has pointed ears. Every time its massive 7-footer being takes a step, the ground shakes. And its weapon is a humongous wooden club resembling its dic-

No that's not the point. The point is 'This is an exaggerated hobgoblin right!? This resembles a f*cking ogre!'

When the Hobgoblin looked down and saw the goblins laying in their pool of blood, it gazes into the surrounding and starts inspecting the surrounding.

Ransom's heart is beating wild. 'Can I kill it?' This is the first thought that came to mind. 'No! I can kill it? I can kill that huge piece of green dung!' 'I'll kill it!'

He brainwashed himself by saying he can prevail in this situation, but he knew that there was a huge difference between their stats, and not just stats, everything from body structure to experience, there's like a 'One Tier' difference biologically.

'Can I run? I think I can, I have the Fleetwork Maneuver.' When he remembered his skill and saw how the hobgoblin moves slowly due to its big body, he suddenly thought that maybe he can dodge its attacks reflexively.

'Okay, It's now or never.' Great men are created not by courage but by choosing the most correct decision. Ransom grips his spear which has been with him since the first day and even in his sleep. The previous wooden spear has a steel head now which he has taken from the crash site. He's confident with its sharpness.

'I'm sorry spear, this may be our last memory.'

Ransom stretched his right arm backwards, in a crouching but like a baseball pitcher's position.

Ransom closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He can feel the drizzle on his skin and the faint mog fills his chest. He slowed his breathing and focused his body balance on the right side of his body. He can feel the energy inside being absorbed by the muscles of his right arm, circling there. Sweat trickles on him as he waited until all energy has been transferred to his right hand.

And when the moment was right, he opened his eyes!!!

"BOOO!?"

The hobgoblin's ugly face shocked him shitless, almost making him stumble. And when he saw its huge club crashing down on his head like the wrath of the heavens, he almost saw a flashback of everything that happened to his life like those in the movies, 'so it's true'.

But at this moment, when the club is just inches away from crushing him he felt sad at the thought of dying. His heart ached and he felt nothing but diabolical, indescribable pain. For the last time, instead of releasing the forced energy into a throw, he compressed it so that it explodes in his right hand.

A crackling sound echoed all over the forest, as his arm and spear sped up in a dazzling light and disintegrated the whole head of the hobgoblin. The energy produced a needle of light in the horizon that pierced the clouds and the attack echoed within the forest as the bushes and trees in a 10-meter radius were uprooted by the force of the shockwave.

Ransom moved to evade the Hobgoblin's club while the information came flooding into his brain.

He looked into his right arm and saw that from the elbow until the fingers are all just mangled pieces of flesh. Every bone in that area has been crushed.

"AHHH! COUGH! HUFF, HUFF." When the pain registered into his brain, he falls on his knee and cried. The boy couldn't handle the pain of his hand suddenly getting crushed.

"Sob, sob. Mom... Dad... Sob, sob."

Half a minute later, he has regained a piece of mind to open his status windows.

After that, he used Reinvigorate. Although he's not sure if Reinvigorate can heal the broken bones, he just used it to ease the pain for the coming battle as a goblin army is already rushing from the cave to meet him.

At the back is the fat Goblin King looking terrified at the corpse of his precious hobgoblin. It spoke in a piglike voice at the 2 goblin shaman and after that, they shouted, and the massive wave came pouring into him, the red-eyed demon.
