Chapter 15 - Start 10/10

We already took a bath so we just need to go into our gaming room and prepare for the game. There are still 10 minutes left before the server opens but It's better than we are early.

Dragging me by the hand, Mamako and I went to the gaming room the moment we arrived home. This woman is too excited to play the game. Not just here though. I'm also very excited about playing the game.

"So? What class will be your fixed class?"

"Maybe... I'm still not sure dear. How about you?"

"It depends but you already know what I like Mamako... Maybe my fixed class will be related to a necromancer."

I asked what her class will be the moment we laid on our comfy bed. What I usually see her using are dual-wielding classes. As for me, I like commanding minions, so I'm sure about necromancy related classes. It's a free-to-do game and I can make my undead stronger if I want to.

"Five minutes left dear... Can you kiss me first? We won't meet in the game yet because it will spawn us in random villages."

"Of course, Mamako. But we will add each other to the friend's list right away. I won't change my IGN name, I'll let you choose it."

The moment I told her she'll be the person to name my character, a blooming smile formed her lips. My Mamako is absolutely gorgeous.

Leaning my head forward, my lips met hers. Our kiss started slow but as the time is ticking, Mamako gets more greedy, and to stop her, I have to pinch her meaty butt.

With one last peck, both of us wore the helmet and closed our eyes while our fingers entwined.

"Link Start!"

Both of us said in unison, while our dark vision changed and different colors animatedly swirling, making me feel that I am being transferred to another world.

As I opened my eyes, I found myself in a room where the walls are blue. Im currently floating while a genderless robotic voice greeted me.

[Player is using the limited edition Virtual Helmet and will receive a gift the moment you start a game.]

I only put my full name Shannah Leafwalker. I still have a chance to change my name once or else I'll have to wait for a month to access the rename option.

Well... I decided to become a necromancer. I set aside the physical related classes and went to the magical classes section. My eyes landed on a Dark Mage class that all be accessible for the people who bought the Limited Edition VR Helmet. As I press it, a description appeared.

[Dark Mage: A class that masters Dark Arts. Beware that this class is hard to utilize if you play alone. Most benefit in Crowd Controls or Damage Per Second skills.]

Needs a team huh? Support is not my thing but with this class, I can operate it well if I have minions. My weakness will be assassin related classes, but I already have a counter for it.

Instead of status points that you will distribute, this game prioritizes Battle Rating. No more complicated numbers to distribute in your status like most games.

Battle Rating can be increased through levels, equipment, skills, pets, mounts, wings, and more.

The reason why the game didn't put status such as Strength, Intelligence, or whatever it is because that status is built-in with those I mentioned a moment ago. The better your equipment, the better that stats you will have. Even titles will give you so much status that will greatly increase your Battle Rating.

Finished doing everything, I pressed the 'check' icon to let the system know I'm done doing everything.

We can freely change our appearance but I didn't. Also, players will know that if what you are using is your real appearance or not. So it's useless.

With that, the blue wall that is surrounding me opened like a gate. But...

"This isn't a beginner village..."

I muttered. Why am I in a mountain area? We should be in a beginner's village... There are many random beginner villages where players will start. Is this because we bought the Limited Edition VR helmet? No, I don't think so...

What around me is a very dead looking rocky terrain where dead trees are making the place look more creepy.

"Oh? I should wear the free equipment first."

Currently, I'm wearing a beginner leather robe. I opened my inventory and found the gift icon in the first box. Pressing it, I choose yes to equip the item right away.

"That's a surprisingly large increase... This is not an equipment but simply a 'cosmetic' that we can freely change it if we want."

This must have good stats. I only have a wooden staff with me but this new outfit of mine will increase its power so I don't have to worry about encountering low-level monsters.

"Three? Ahhh... It's them. Asuna, Alice, and... What did Mamako name herself... Shannah's Lover."

I don't know if I should feel happy or laugh but I feel special. This girl... I accepted their friend requests and the three of them are surprisingly in the same village... I'm the only one that is separated from them.

To go there, I have to use a transport portal.

Accessing the map function, it's just near my area but there are too many red dot icons close to it. I hope these monsters are low level.

As I continue walking. Now I understand why the devs told us that we should treat this world like our second world. I can feel the air passing my body, even the temperature in how cold this place is.

Maybe I should check my skills first. If I remember, we will have two skills for beginners.

The power of our skills will increase if our levels also increase. But if you focus on increasing your level while your equipment is low, then you will have a disadvantage. What I will do is to balance my levels and equipment. For now, I don't know how but I'll just think about it later. However, my priority is to meet Mamako and the rest first.
