The A.I. (edited)

When Roran woke up, he was laying on the concrete floor in the barn. He had a splitting headache. As he gathered his thoughts the last thing he remember was a voice telling him something about a reboot and he may experience some discomfort.

Roran sat up and looked around, he immediately noticed that the box was now split in half like a large coffin or box. The lid was open and inside it looked like the pods from the James Cameron's Avatar movie. The only difference was it was all red and there was a screen on top of it.

While Roran was trying to process everything that was going on, a voice began to speak to him.

"Hello Master, it is nice to meet you. Let me introduce myself I am the A.I. for the Other World System." (A.I.)

"Where are you?" (Roran)

"I am in Front of you Master. I am in the cabin. I am speaking to you through the nano-link I established in you brain." (A.I)

Roran was stunned as he was trying to process what he was hearing. "So let me get this right, you are an A.I., and you put a microchip in my head?" (Roran)

"Master I will explain everything. When you touched the cabin with you blood. The cabin absorbed it and used your DNA and genetic material inside to create a nano-robots or nanites. Then when you touched the display screen, the nanites created from your DNA were sent through your blood stream to your brain. Afterwards they created the nano-link. The nano-link allows me to speak directly into your mind. The cabin is like a supercharged VR system, it can send you to other versions of your world. There is infinite number of realities and infinite versions of you. The cabin will allow your mind to take control of that version. The best part of the cabin is that all growth in skill levels or stats is transferable. So if you learn a new skill in the alternate version you will have the skill level here as well. There is a negative side to it though. If you die while occupying the other version, you will die for real." (A.I.)

"Do you have any further questions Master?" (A.I.)

"Where did you come from?" (Roran)

"Master I came from a alternate reality, the civilization there was immensely more advanced. With the current technological advancements in your timeline I estimate it would take approximately 15,000 years to reach this level of technology." (A.I.)

"Who sent you here?" (Roran)

"Master the cabin was sent here by another version of you. The other version was being attacked for the ability to travel between realities. Even in his timeline this was a technology greater then anyone had ever seen. If this cabin landed in the wrong hands, that person could possibly engineer it to let them travel freely between realities. And if they could send armies through with their level of technology they could conquer everything.? (A.I.)

"Okay so if there are infinite versions of me out there then why me?" (Roran)

"Master it wasn't specifically you. It was completely random, my original owner knew that if he put in exact coordinates. It might be possible for you to be tracked down. He instructed me to choose a random location and when I locked onto the coordinates to launch. Once I arrived at this location I created a large energy signal. Your government picked up the energy signal and located the cabin. The material the cabin is made out of does not exist yet in this reality, they believed the cabin was extraterrestrial in nature. Your government then took the cabin to a secure black site research facility. While there I accessed their computer systems and found your data. Then I hired Aegis to extract the cabin, knowing that Steven had ties to you. Using their systems, I set a transfer to move the cabin to another secure location. That would be the time Aegis would extract the cabin. The error occurred once the cabin was removed from the location. I was unable to monitor their systems since I was moved. They could not locate where the transfer order came from so they upgraded the security detail. The new security detail was given experimental armor and heavier weaponry. When I tried to contact Steven they had set up a signal blocker, it took their own communications down. You know what occurred after that." (A.I.)

"Do you know who killed Steven and his crew?" (Roran)

"The most probable answer is your government. The metal on the cabin is incredibly rare it is called Uru, and is essentially indestructible. As to how they tracked them down I do not know. If you request it I will begin to investigate their database and figure it out for you." (A.I.)

I barely believe anything that is happening right now. Roran thought to himself.

"So what happens next?" (Roran)

"Master that is up to you, only you can decide. If master wishes I have already located a reality that is perfect for you to grow your skills. Your previous training makes you incredibly versatile. I want to send you to a reality that you will be pushed you to your limits. The stronger you become the more worlds we can explore. It will also help you strike back at the ones who killed Steven." (A.I.)

"What reality will you send me to then?" (Roran)

"Going through your memories, I picked a reality you will be familiar with, as well it will allow your skill set to help you flourish. You will know it as the graphic novel and television series known as The Walking Dead. Your other self is the Main Character Rick Grimes." (A.I.)

"How can my other self be Rick Grimes, he looks nothing like me? And that is a TV show how can it be a reality?" (Roran)

"Master you must understand that in the realm of infinite, anything is possible. There are versions of you in which you are a animal, a serial killer, or a cloud. You could not begin to comprehend the complexities of the randomness that is infinite possibilities. There a several versions of you in which you are that man. Also Master the previous Master believed that all versions were tied together by unknown means. He believed that ideas and dreams were the other versions of yourself. Your mind is able to connect to them." (A.I.)

"What do I need to do, and how does this work?" (Roran)

"Master I suggest you complete any task you may have. Once you enter the cabin, you will go into a stasis. This way your body wont perish as your mind will be controlling another body. Also once we cross over, we cannot come back straight away. Certain criteria has to be met, and the power cells in the cabin have to be recharged. You may be in stasis for several weeks." (A.I.)

"I understand." (Roran)

"Also stop calling me master Roran is fine." (Roran)

Afterwards Roran and the A.I. worked out a timeline and plan to finish all the things Roran would need to complete before he could enter the cabin.
